- JJohnvipLos Angeles •33 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI could eat here every night. There are so many great food options and they are all executed just perfectly. Last night it was the spciy tuna on crispy rice which is the best version of this in town. The lobster tacos are uniquely Koi and taste just sublime. I could eat these all night. Then it was the albacore very thinkly sliced with crunchy onions and again, just fantastic. And the creamy shrimp tempura, which we order with a bowl of sushi rice, and again, there are other places in town that do something like this, but Koi is by far the best. Last night, our last item was the miso marinated black cod, which we haven't had in several visits and it was just as great as always. From start to finish everything tasted great. The service was impeccable and friendly. The place was full with a great vibe. Just a perfect night and at a great restauarant that delivers every time.More infoKoi - Los AngelesPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• West Hollywood•4.7

- LLloydLos Angeles •96 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 16, 2024This is an surprising and amazing outpost of excellent Chinese cuisine in a large region of LA that specializes in mediocre Chinese fare. We started with Peking Duck Quoe Tehr and Sesame Tofu Cubes. Sesame Tofu cubes were very good (A-), while the Quoe Tehr had a truly unexpected and wonderful flavor balance of rich Peking Duck, sauce and covering (A). For our main course, we had Hometown Braised Tofu and Snowbass on Black Sauce. Although I have had many Chinese meals in large cities in China, I have never had a meal in a smaller town there. The Hometown Braised Tofu tasted so wonderfully "country" that I could almost feel myself eating it in a small village. Tofu perfectly braised with a mixture of mushrooms, bamboo shoots and bok choy (A). The Snowbass was both an artistic and taste "piece de resistance". Perfectly cooked very white fish, on a bed of perfectly balanced complex black sauce. (A+). The best dish I have had anywhere in a restaurant in a long time! Service was prompt and attentive. Prices were very reasonable for the quality. Inexplicably, the small restaurant was empty except for us on a week night. If you like sophisticated delicious Chinese food at a very reasonable price, you should put this on your list.More infoJoss CuisinePrice: Expensive• Chinese• Beverly Hills•4.6
