Best Contemporary Asian Restaurants in Foggy Bottom

Food was fantastic. The whole, crispy fish dish is a revelation. Highly recommend it. The pacing of appetizers and entree could use a little work. But overall, a good experience.

My friend and I had such a wonderful time dining here last night—truly an epic meal from start to finish! First off, shoutout to the amazing team! From whoever answered my email (thank you for helping me snag an earlier time slot!) to our super warm and welcoming host and server, the hospitality was on point. Speaking of our server—SO cute, so friendly, and they even called us Ate and spoke to us in our language, which meant more to me than I can even put into words. 🥹 Our food runners were also fantastic—so patient, thorough, and great at explaining each dish while answering all our questions. The drinks? Dangerously good. We fell in love with the "Back in Cali" and may have had one too many. 😆 And the food? A+++—some dishes reminded us of home, bringing back childhood memories of SE Asia while still being different enough to be interesting. We were joking that even our asian mothers would approve! It was such an lovely experience. If I had one small note, it would be that the lighting could be a tad dimmer for a cozier feel, but honestly, everything else was SO spot on. Thank you for taking such amazing care of us—we’ll be back (probably for more "Back in Cali" cocktails)! 😄🍹

Everything we ordered was EXCELLENT! Every bite! The restaurant is expensive but it’s absolutely worth it.
