Best Contemporary Asian Restaurants in Theater District

We went to Golden Temple on a Friday night at 5:45. We were quickly seated and a server came immediately to bring us menus and give us water. Shortly after our order was taken. I asked that the server make sure there was no sesame seed on my order and he assured me that there would be none. The drinks came quickly. As did the food. It was to our advantage that the restaurant was not especially crowded and we were amazed at the speed. The food was very good. We had potstickers and mandarin orange chicken and beef foo chow (?). All good. There were three of us and there was plenty of food left for us to bring home. Overall, it was a great experience. 

We had the ten courses tasting menu. Everything was amazing; the creativity in preparation and the layers of flavor in each taste were incredible, and the service was top-notch. This is sushi above and beyond! It’s not inexpensive, but well worth it for a special night out.

Random post workout pick on Christmas Day. Lucked out with a reservation as they have limited seating (49 seats) and are typically quite busy. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and all work together to make sure you’re well taken care of. The food was exceptional (we definitely over ordered but there were so many exciting options), service was excellent, and the prices were very fair for the portions. I’d recommend ordering lots of options and sharing - take home the leftovers!
