Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Ontario

What an amazing dinner we had here! The place has been entirely spruced up but kept its charm and stayed true to its roots. The decor is cleaned up but will be familiar to anyone who had been in any of the Clearmans restaurants. We ordered the wedge, which had a nice thick bacon on it. We also had the French onion soup- would have preferred Gruyère cheese to the Swiss that they used. Nice bread basket with several options, a pretzel bread, a brown bread and poppy seed rolls. We ordered the surf and turf (which we split). Steak was done perfectly and was plenty to share, we had some to bring home. Not a lot of “surf” on the plate, but the 2 prawns that it came with were cooked perfectly. We finished it off with cheesecake, which was wonderful. They have just opened a beautiful bar and patio soace behind the restaurant that we will try next time- it looked like an awesome place for a cocktail or dinner. They have a performer every night- Frank Sinatra, Elvis…the night we were there they had a very nice singer. The restaurant itself is quiet, which is so rare now and something that we value when we go out for a nice meal. I hope they keep it that way. We will be sure to be back and I’ve been recommending it ever since our visit.

It was an overall great experience, except for a disturbance involving another guest. Security and police were involved which caused disruptions.
