Antica Bologna ha sido un favorito en Northcote Road por más de veinte años -bastante tiempo para el negocio de restaurantes en Londres- y es todavía original y emocionante como el día en que abrió sus puertas, pues evoca imágenes de osterías perdidas en pequeños pueblos de la campiña silvestre en la región de la Emilia-Romaña o las ondulantes colinas de la Toscana, con su animada bienvenida propia de un antiguo favorito familiar. El chef Marzio Zacchi creció en la zona rural de Piamonte en el seno de una familia que criaba gallinas, cosechaba sus verduras y curaba su propio salami, por lo cual defiende con firmeza el uso de productos frescos locales. Great hideaway place that is a bit out of the ordinary and has a bit of a history. Being converted Victorian toilets, it is small and intimate. Great cocktails and nice selection of nibbles and light bites.

Great ambience, great food! We had to wait for a bit to order food as the ovens were not ready around 12:40ish but once the order was placed, food arrived swiftly and it was delicious.

Ambience was great, food could have been better (the scrambled eggs were a bit too runny for me) and presentation could have been better as well. A lot of banging of plates and cutlery in the kitchen which was a little loud and distracting.
