Frank Mac's. Gin & Cocktail Bar The original 1840s sandstone walls of the building Frank Mac’s now occupies a 120-person capacity bar which flows from outdoor seating on George Street, across two levels and into a back courtyard. Whereas the downstairs space feels cosy and intimate, dotted with vintage leather banquettes, dark jade and light orange velvet armchairs, low tables and a fireplace, the ground level you’ll walk into off George Street will reflect the energy of the bartenders working behind the almost five-metre-long oak bar. A handful of bar stools provide the perfect vantage point to take in the cocktail mixology while the dark velvet curtains, worn leather banquette seats and cosy fireplace of the ‘Snug’ provides groups of up to eight with a private space to retreat and relax.

Set in a space no bigger than two car spaces, we aim to deliver on our tagline "small space, big dreams".Located within the YCK Laneways precinct, we are one of a handful of Sydney venues that are open Tuesday to Sunday. Our menu is heavily influenced by Vietnamese fruits, flavours and delicacies. It's a chance for us to showcase our experiences through our travels to Vietnam and the rest of Asia, as well as our childhoods and upbringings. We're open Tuesday to Sunday, from 5pm - 2am with a new special that launches every fortnight.     This was our second visit and Petit Bistro & Wine Bar did not disappoint. We sat outside and even in winter there was enough warmth to sit comfortably, but blankets were provided if you prefer. Our waiter was very well informed and attentive, and the food was excellent. I would also suggest asking for wine recommendations as there are some interesting options, including some wines from Hungary produced by our waiter's father!

    The cocktails are creative and beautifully presented, you can really tell the team knows their gin. The atmosphere is cozy with a cool vintage-meets-modern vibe, perfect for a date night or catch-up with friends. The staff were super welcoming and attentive, and the playlist added to the great energy. Highly recommend if you're looking for a stylish spot with quality drinks and service!
