Best Cocktail Bars in East Point

The food did not disappoint, it exceeded expectations. The service was fantastic and the staff was friendly. We would eat there again and would recommend it to anyone.

I recently visited The Blooming Pig Spring Pop-Up Bar, and while the pictures online were quite enticing, the actual space turned out to be smaller than expected. Despite this, the service was commendable; the staff were friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The food options were limited, which was a bit disappointing. It felt more like a place to enjoy drinks rather than a full meal. However, the prices were reasonable, making it a good spot for a casual outing. Overall, I had a pleasant time, but if you're looking for a wide variety of food, this might not be the best choice. It's perfect for a relaxed evening with drinks and good company.

May Peel had some standout elements, but the vibe caught me off guard. It’s labeled as a speakeasy, so I expected a more mellow, intimate atmosphere — something you’d go to for relaxed conversation and a low-key night. Instead, it felt more like a sit-down club, with loud 2000s rap music dominating the space. Definitely not the quiet, tucked-away feel most speakeasies aim for. That said, the food and drinks were phenomenal. The bartenders clearly know what they’re doing — I had a smoked Old Fashioned (worth the $2 upcharge), and it was easily one of the best I’ve had. Every cocktail we tried was well-balanced and delicious. We also shared a charcuterie board and a meatball appetizer, both of which were excellent. Food and drinks? 10/10. Ambience? A bit off from what I expected — hence the 4/5 overall.
