Best Californian Restaurants in Kings Beach

The staff and management here is stellar!!! We have had many meals at Gar Woods over the past 40 years and it seems to me that the quality of the food taste and presentation has markedly improved over the last few years. It used to be a bit more hit and miss as far as the food quality……perhaps the increased prices have given them the opportunity to procure better quality food and staff! In any case congratulations! One suggestion……the furnishings, particularly the seating fabrics are in desperate need of replacement.

The tasting menu is perfect on all counts ... and with the paired wines it is just amazing.

We had a wonderful dinner at Jimmy’s.. The view is spectacular, the sunset was fabulous. The cocktail menu is extensive and different.. The food was sensational. I had the venison tenderloin and it was the most tender piece of meat I’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back
