Gateau Ghost's humble beginnings trace back to the pandemic when founder Jayden Park perfected his madeleines in his home kitchen. This is where crowd favourite Madeline flavours like Matcha-Pistachio, Black Sesame, Strawberry, and Miso were first created. Fast forward to 2024, and we've opened the first brick-and-mortar restaurant. The space is a 3-in-1 masterpiece: a bakery, a small storefront stocked with products from local businesses, and a bistro-style restaurant with an open kitchen. We're serving coffee, pastries, brunch, lunch, and dinner from our location at College & Dovercourt in Toronto. Our cafe is open 7:00 am - 7:00 pm.Brunch waitlist available from 10:00am-3:30pm, Tuesday - Sunday.Dinner reservations 6:00pm - late, Thursday - Sunday. Closed on Mondays. We accept reservations for our dinner service two weeks in advanced and require a credit card to book for large parties.Entire party must be present to be seated.

Originally opened as a Dessert and Cake Shop, a light Lunch menu with Soups, Salads and Sandwiches were added. In 1997 we moved to a larger Unit within the same Plaza. With a larger kitchen it also allowed us to start offering a Breakfast and Dinner menu as well. In 2016 we expanded again at the current location. This also allowed us to expand our menus further. All our Desserts, Cakes, Pastries and Ice cream are still made on the premises. The many Awards over the years are a true statement of our efforts to provide an exceptional dining experience by using the freshest and best ingredients.

We went to Gateau Ghost with low expectations and were pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious, and the service was spot on. Highlights include the shrimp toast, roasted cabbage, tsukune, and the unforgettable brioche.

Food is excellent & the restaurant is clean. Staff were friendly. We went on a Sunday afternoon & it was very noisy, making it difficult to have a conversation. Great selection of desserts!

Went here for Mother's Day. Overall I really enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere. However I felt that the food itself was really lacking, none of the savory items stood out, nor the desserts which was overall too sweet and tasted very standard. I've been here before last year and I see that they have not changed the menu basically at all. The best thing from the menu is the scones. Also I noticed that the tower that they serve the food in, is really rusty and not aesthetic at all. I wish they would have changed that.
