General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream. It was a beautiful day outside, so we got a table on the patio. Tried the happy hour cocktail, the gin & tonic with empress gin out of the teacups. Also had the falafel appetizer and the tuna tartare. Service was great!

went for my birthday last night! they switched our seating to better accommodate us since it was so crowded. The staff was were so nice. They danced and sang with us all through the night. The food was good & the drinks were hitting. The dj played good songs, had everyone there dancing all night. Everyone had a blast. 10/10 experience
