We had fantastic evening at the Tartan Fox celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We had the cheese donuts and black pudding bob bons which we shared, they were incredible, followed by the lamb and fish and chips, both of which were perfectly cooked and really tasty. We shared the deep fried mars bars which were presented beautifully (considering the name!) and were delicious. The ambience, music, staff were all excellent and we are glad we made the decision to go for our special occasion. Thank you

We had the best time here! Staff were amazing. Our Waitress was so lovely and catered to our needs perfectly. she kept checking back on us regularly which was amazing! the starters were outstanding.. the tempura squid&wild mushroom arancini was lovely , i can’t recommend enough! so fresh and delightful. Mains were great, steaks cooked to perfection. everything was perfect from start to finish! Thankyou for making our night amazing!

As always with the Butterfly the team excelled! The food was sublime, the service was flawless! Chris the mixologist was inspired; Steph was utterly brilliant as always! Lovely to see Hayley back. Welcome to Olivia who was working her first night. Bella came out of the kitchen and was great! Why oh why you guys do not have a Michelin Star I do not know - can’t wait to come back and thanks for making the whole evening spectacular! Also a quick mention for Ellie who made our booking so easy!

Pleasant venue, decor and tables inviting. Was quite a noisy restaurant but tables spaced out with plenty of room around. Booked table for 6.30 so was fairly quiet to start but filled out as evening went on. Background music not too loud but our table was directly under speaker so a little harder to hear conversation. Lighting bright to start but dimmed later on in evening and was better. Excellent waiting staff very informative about food and accommodating to special dietary requests, thank you. We were celebrating 60th birthday and did put note on booking but nothing special arranged. Party of 5 we had bread and olives, scallops and mussels to start followed by Ribeye steak, Lemon sole, Belly pork (ordered the special but got the dish from main menu) and polenta with seafood all very tasty and perfectly cooked, no leftovers here! Desserts twist on tiramisu - bit too heavy with the sticky toffee. Cheesecake, plum upside down cake and ricotta donuts all good but wouldn’t say outstanding very average desserts at quite a hefty price of £9 min Coffees to finish and a couple of alcohol beverages Total bill with tip under £300 Would defiantly visit again but prob skip desserts
