General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Great restaurant, honestly have nothing negative to say. The staff were excellent, food was great - especially the Eton Mess - and the decor was unique and helped set the mood perfectly. Prices are on par with most other restaurants and overall thought it was great value for the quality and experience. Will definitely return and highly recommend this place.

The service was amazing. We have to. We had a timeline to get out to see a show and we are accommodated very nicely. Enjoy the ambiance with the room the energy. The food was very good. I would come again.
