Our entire experience at the Sovereign exceeded our expectations! We arrived a little early but were seated immediately in a cozy location. They acknowledged we were celebrating our 40th anniversary, which felt very remarkable. We tried several “flights” of amazing Belgian beers (4 oz pours) along with scrumptious courses- Belgian meatballs, Belgian endive salad, mussels Belgian style and a Belgian waffle with chocolate Chantilly cream and cherries for dessert, which was on the house! Our server, Isabella was superb! Her advice and suggestions were helpful and her pacing was perfect! Every staff member was attentive and friendly. We highly recommend this establishment and will return when we visit again!!

We came to Bella Café for brunch. The first thing I noticed was the cute blankets in a basket you could use if you wanted to sit outside on this slightly cool day. Very cute idea. I wonder if the sidewalk cafés in Belgium offer the same? Once inside, we were seated at a table and I noticed the height of the chairs are a bit taller than usual. I appreciated this since I’m tall. The menu was an incredible display of delicious options from waffles to steak fritte to mussels to a variety of omelettes. Between that and the delicious drink menu, it took us a minute. We settled on brunch. A fluffy Gruyère and Gouda omelette with fresh herbs. Divine! I got a fruit parfait with Greek yogurt. The bowl was large and full of fresh berries! Delish. My boyfriend got the cowboy skillet with the short ribs and loved it . Our server was great-attentive and funny. We had a great time. We’ll be back to try dinner!
