We went for a midweek meal with our son and had a couple of pizzas and a plant based burger. All tasty and good value. We had the added bonus of the women's football match with Spain and Germany. Would definitely go again.

Saturday is probably not the day for a quiet lunch in a pub but they do their best to have a few dining tables not impacted by the TV. The food is ambitious but just misses the mark. Roasted vegetables would be better plated plain than served on tough, toasted sourdough, and the hoisin mushroom spring roll was over crisp and hard to cut. Fish and chips and soup were tasty. However the star of the show was the sticky toffee pudding which was outstanding. The really outstanding element was the service from Bronte. She would be at home in a five star hotel. Warm, friendly, knowledgeable, professional. Kudos to Brontë. She is the memory we took away from our lunch.
