The Prescott, located at the corner of Beech and Preston Street in Ottawa, is one of the oldest licensed drinking establishments in the city, with roots tracing back to 1934. Originally the Preston Hotel, it was renamed The Prescott in 1941, symbolizing its role as the last watering hole between Ottawa and Prescott, 100 km down the highway. During WWII, co-owner Giuseppe Costantini, an Italian-Canadian, was interned by the Canadian government as an "enemy alien," temporarily shutting down the hotel. Despite these challenges, The Prescott continued under the sole ownership of his partner, Antonio Disipio, and became a fixture in the community. Over the years, it has hosted family events, sponsored sports teams, and remained an iconic spot for locals.     Original young man server was very good. Not so much female server in our section. Only 4 tables on our side but perhaps she had some on the other side. Felt like we were leftovers and nothing genuine about it. Maybe it was an off day for her. Had the scallops with extra veggies because the menu offering wasn’t good. Had it before and the pasta or whatever it was tasted like filler. Better with veggies but mostly overcooked. Better than raw I guess.

    Caesar and co was a very nice restaurant for our little date night. It was Sunday evening so the ambiance was very quiet save for a few people seated at the bar. Service was excellent and we loved our meal and the signature caesars. Abeit, dessert was a little underwhelming but the overall experience was great. We will definitly go back again.

    I had the moules frites and it was delicious with a generous portion. Ordered the classic espresso martini, as also fantastic! I went during their happy hour 9pm to 11pm, meaning our drinks were 2 for 1. Overall great experience, starting 11pm music starts playing and we can dance.
