Best Asian Restaurants in South Duisburg

Amazing food: in a town, and neighborhood, world-famous for first-rate Asian and in particular Japanese cuisine, King Fusion stands out in a delightfully crowded field. We ordered the Wagyu beef rolls, the double-crunchy tuna rolls, the duck tortillas, the Japanese fried chicken, the honey-sesame edamame, and the scallops. The Wagyu and tuna were outstanding; the duck was so good we wish we could have ordered more; the fried chicken was memorably succulent; the edamame was both the most filling and the least expensive item we ordered. By comparison the scallops were OK, but overwhelmed by the other choices. We left far, far too full for dessert! I had a mocktail and my wife had a cocktail and both were delicious. The sparkling water we ordered on sitting down was also welcome, as the food was very rich and--typical for Japanese food--quite salty. Service was solicitous and friendly. The restaurant as a whole was fairly empty, perhaps since we went there on Mother's Day at supper time and most people had probably already gone out for brunch. The decor in the restaurant was elegant and inviting, although tables as well as plates were small. We were pleased that they accepted credit cards because the bill for these half-dozen small plates was...not cheap!!!!! In sum, King Fusion is a very special restaurant for very special occasions, such as Mother's Day, and although we would not be able to afford it for "everyday" dining out, we were glad and grateful to make an exception for a day such as today. And we'll be happy to go back the next time someone else is able to pick up the tab!!

A visit to Cologne is well worth it just to see Taku. All of the exquisite dishes are bursting with flavour and are works of art on a plate. The service is relaxed yet knowledgeable and attentive. It's simply excellent. Tip: Go for the wine package, as the sommelier is generous, talkative and knowledgeable. The classic choice offers great German and French wines.

The price of €49 for the food, where I had 3 bowls and three lemonades is in a high range and unfortunately, the order of drinks takes a very long time (wish was always like this over the last 15 years) and required a second order before getting it. Sometimes the bowls come with less marinade. But it is still a great place. The food is good and the restaurant is a good place to meet and eat and have a chat with friends or colleagues. 

It was very nice 🥰 The food, service, atmosphere, everything was great. I want to come back to this restaurant.
