Have visited several different Tavern on the Square locations and the food & service are always superb. This was our first visit to the Weymouth location and we were a bit disappointed with the food. The biggest problem was two of us ordered our steak medium and the steak slices were so rare we couldn’t cut them. The waitress took a sampling of the rare slices on a side plate to show the manager. The manager returned with those same pieces seared. I have never seen this - taking food that was already served to customers put back on grill and then returned. We didn’t eat it - since unclear how many hands the meat had passed through.

Three of us met for dinner, we had all been there before but it’s been many years for two of us. We had all lovely server, I’m ashamed to admit I don’t remember her name. We shared a good bottle of wine and the Porcini pizza as an appetizer. It was as delicious as ever. We each enjoyed our entree choice, a strip steak, the striped bass and the pork with burrata. The bread choices were delicious, the chocolate cherry was soooo good and the chick pea hummus spread was too! We shared the berry crisp with ice cream dessert, a little something sweet for top off! (As my dad would say!) Fabulous!

10/10 – An outstanding experience at Liberty Tavern! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Even though we were a few minutes late, the host was kind and accommodating, and the service throughout the evening was flawless. The food was absolutely delicious: we started with the shrimp and avocado tacos, chicken wings, and stuffed pretzels — all packed with flavor. For mains, we had the margherita pizza, salmon, and fish & chips — each one perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The drinks were just as impressive: we enjoyed red sangria, Sam Adams beers, and a refreshing Kiwi Be Friends cocktail. This was our first time here, but definitely not the last. Highly recommended!

We had a great meal celebrating my daughter’s graduation. The food and service was excellent.

Terrific staff, food and reasonable cost made this Sunday brunch special !! The personable and professional hostess and server were special and made the whole experience the best. The food was hot and tasty without any complaints from our party of very particular diners.Not only did our server check to see that our beverages were full; the wonderful hostess Alli came by to see if she could do anything to help make our dining experience be better. She was just so pleasant and caring. Go to the Mad Hatter for an outstanding dining experience.
