Tasteful Station is located in a train station built in 1917 in the heart of Poultney, Vermont. Created by Nicole Bower and Arthur Hollinger, Tasteful Station features a sophisticated menu that changes weekly prepared with fresh local ingredients.     Roots always provides an exceptional experience with unique food. I truly appreciated our server Maeve who answered my question regarding the strawberry relish with honesty saying it was sweet with herbs but comes as a side. That truly helped me make my decision to try it. Although the relish was too sweet for me, the salmon special was great even without it - my husband will love it! Great end to a pre-holiday work week. Of course, I will be returning - again!

    Great experience at Tasteful Station and a very good addition to Poultney. Service was quick and responsive, and the food was superb and on par with top restaurants in Manchester and Rutland. Highly recommend it!

    If the weather was better, the trip would have been perfect for Father's day. We were four adults and all ordered something different to eat and drink, and not one complaint. The food was delicious and lots of it. With a large selection of beers, wines and spirits. I wish I could remember out servers name, but everyone we interacted with was super friendly and eager to help. Lots of room between tables and very clean! We will be back
