Best American Restaurants in North Branford

Outstanding food. Our waitress was wonderful. The place is beautiful. Highly recommend eating their definitely will be back. 

Not only was the food impressive at The Essex Brasserie, but the ambiance and service was exceptional, as well. From wine to food to cocktails, our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, which made ordering lighthearted and breezy. With a party of 5, noise level could become a concern. But the volume was at a minimum all night, even as the dining room and bar filled up on a Saturday evening. Also, although the menu may seem pricey, the quality of food and generous servings more than make up for it - you are truly getting what you pay for. Although we loved everything we got, among our favorites were the Nantua Moules Frites, Lobster Thermidor, and the Filet (which was cooked to perfection). We will absolutely be back!

Absolutely fantastic experience. Bistro atmosphere. Service was excellent, friendly knowledgeable about all the dishes and wine. Menu lovely diverse options. Each of our dinners was delicious and prepared with elevation and nuance flavors. We had shrimp and grits, mole short rib and both superb. Ending with two delicious desserts the churros and chocolate sauce best and a delicious fig type tarte so scrumptious. Will be back for sure. A true gem.

I had friends come in from out of town and came across the Home restaurant while looking for a nice place to bring them. I have to say both myself and my friends were not disappointed . The ambience and the food were amazing. They have a dining room with leather couches and chairs that made our dinner so personnel. Like being home eating in the living room. All we needed was a tv. Lol the food was awesome. It was a cocktail and appetizer night so we ordered the meatballs , eggplant balls and the Shepard pie wontons I believe they’re called. Oh and the Frito Mac and cheese too. Delicious and the drinks were make to perfection . This was an exceptional Sunday lunch and my guests were talking about it all the way home. I’ll be revisiting Home again soon and have already spread the word to my friends. I give it a 5 star .. try it you won’t be disappointed!!

Had an amazing experience. Food was top tier and service was exceptional. From the moment we sat down to the moment we got up wait staff was attentive and friendly and each dish from appetizers to dessert were made with care and attention to detail to where they were both visually appealing and tasted great. 10/10 would recommend
