The contemporary Italian menu is based on seasonal and local ingredients. Cucina radiates a warm atmosphere in a country chic setting with modern touches. Dine with friends at the 24-seat communal table or more privately in a dining room. On warm days, bask in the sunlight on the large wraparound porch or settle in by the fireplace on winter nights.
It was a loud room, but more than manageable. Lamb shank was sooooogood and the bolognese was prepared to perfection. Overall just the perfect spot for our special occasion!!
Waitress was nice but the food runner wa terrible. She left our salads on the table next to us and didn’t say a word....
the food smelled much better than it tasted.
Cucina was a great spot for my partner’s birthday dinner. It had just enough elegance without being pretentious, and the decor and layout made the restaurant feel like we were dining in someone’s farmhouse. The food was really worth writing home about. We do not go out to eat Italian food much because it is often of low quality and is overpriced. Cucina was well worth the money, however, and the price point was pretty spot on. Everything tasted homemade and fresh. We highly recommend the pastas.
The service was only worth 4 stars as we there were many servers, but we still had to wait quite a while to get a waiter’s attention to order and ask for the check.
The restaurant lived up to the rating. Took my bother-in-law and sister there for the last of his 60th birthday celebrations before heading to The Colony for a concert. What a cute bar and dining area. Make a reservation to assure a seat! The specials were great! Our waitresses was very informed and very professional. Looking forward to a return visit.
The food and atmosphere were wonderful. Our waiter was incredibly pleasant but unfortunately seemed to be responsible for too many tables and it made the service slow. Otherwise an excellent evening and would love to come back.
Went upstate to Woodstock, NY for a couple days, and Cucina was a great dinner choice. It was close to where we were staying and was easy to get to. The food was great and the service was outstanding. Thank you Cucina.
Great restaurant with an interesting menu. Everything i prepared fresh, and from the appetizers, to pizzas, to main courses everything was delicious.
I especially appreciated the ambiance which was unique.
The service could have been better, but our server had multiple tables assigned so it was somehow understandable.
Value for money was good, I went for dinner with my girlfriend and we ate so much we couldn't order the dessert. Recommended!!
Always the best food so consistent!
I tried the eggplant appetizer. It was under seasoned on very hard and chewy toast. I was unimpressed and hopeful that my main dish would be better and I was not disappointed. I chose the roasted salmon. It was juicy and flavorful. My son chose the chicken Parmesan with linguine. Sadly it too was under-seasoned rendering it rather insipid. Under seasoned pasta is a bit like eating cardboard. We enjoyed the cozy warm interior and the service was great despite the Friday night rush of guests. However the food was just so so.
Our first visit. Everything was perfect, but I’d definitely give bonus points to our server. Very professional and took care of every last detail. Service was absolutely flawless.
My only complaint would be that there were many available tables and they sat another couple right next to us when they could’ve sat them a few tables away.
Seafood risotto was delish. The food and service are always reliable even on a holiday weekend when they were mad busy.
Food was excellent. Appreciated the gluten free options and that they could prepare the fried calamari gluten free. Service was a little slow, but we were not in a hurry. All of us enjoyed our selections.
Great meal. Service excellent. Room comfortable. My wife and I shared Florida Grouper and a seafood risotto that were very tasty. Would definitely return.
Excellent food, great service! Nice wine list, but high corkage fee
Very nice place for lunch. Great location if you're in town for the Film Festival. Nice ambiance. As busy as they were, service was great.
Cucina is a lovely Italian restaurant in Woodstock. The service is great and our waitress listened carefully as we each ordered chicken parm prepared differently with our side order of spaghetti. The food was delicious. We started with shrimp and white beans and fried calamari. The entire evening was delightful.
We have been coming here for the last 5 years and this was the worst so far. Our waiter was inattentive, forgot our drinks and bread and only moved quickly when we asked for the check. He never asked how the meal was or if we needed anything. The food was good but the service left alit to be desired
I love Cucina but it would be nice for them to recognize people who regularly give them business when they come in for a special occasion .... like an anniversary. The next night, we went to Terrapin and got 20% off our dinner and treated like gold..... it does kind of make a difference.
Food was excellent
Our Server Lizzie was wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Charming ambiance, nice food & service.
The hostess was lovely and accommodated our request to move tables due to other noisy patrons. The service was great and the food was delicious.
Excellent and delicious experience! We are an Italian family of 5 with very high expectations and this place impressed on every level. The service was friendly and we were able to enjoy our appetizers, entrees and dessert without being rushed but without feeling abandoned. Everyone we spoke to including the hostess, our waiter, and Shane who cleared our table was incredibly nice and helpful. We sat inside at a beautiful table and we were so happy with everything we ordered - it's so rare to have dishes served with that much care going into them. It's also rare to love every single thing we ordered - we could not believe it - and the bread they bring out is awesome. For apps we split the special salad - greens with apple, cranberries, blue cheese and toasted walnuts - this was so good that we all wished we ordered one each. We also had the crispy squid (perfectly prepared - so light and fluffy and the dip/sauce options were both amazing) and the bruschetta with prosciutto, fig spread, burrata and arugula (everyone absolutely loved this!) For entrees we had the rigatoni dish with sausage/peas, the special fettuccine with mushrooms, prosciutto and parmesan cream, the special pork chop with lentils and mushrooms, the chicken milanese, and the orecchiette with basil pesto, pine nuts and string beans. Everyone was in love with their dish. The ingredients were all high quality. We were so impressed. I should also mention that the wine was awesome and I had a lemon thyme soda that they made there which was so refreshing and not overly sweet just flavorful - I highly recommend it. For desserts we had the affogato and tiramisu - again, both delicious and they put a candle in my mom's dessert for her. Coffee and tea was great too. We can't wait to return. It was a wonderful experience. My dad said he has not had a meal that good in a long time. Thanks, Cucina - we will be back.
Delicious! Great service - nice atmosphere
The shrimp had tails on them and it made it very difficult to eat. They should have been cleaned to make the pasta easier to eat. Also the noise level was horrendous! MADE ANY CONVERSATION ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE - AND ALL OF THIS FOR A MIGHTY PRICE.
Not sure I'll return.
Not great choices on the desert menu for a non chocolate eater.
I've been a continual client since Cucina opened. My go-to place for all special events.
Food was delicious, service was great, ambiance was inviting and warm. We will be back!
Vibrant scene with large far tables for big groups and intimate 1v1 tables. Don't expect a quiet evening diners are actively engaged in conversation everywhere you look giving Cucina a switched on vibe. The best Italian food in the Valley with the pasta dishes tasting like they've been simmering for hours. first time diner
Good good, freshly made. Waitress was very attentive to our needs and efficient
The food was excellent and the service very friendly.
We travel back and forth between the City and Woodstock, Cucina is our go to place to meet up with friends or have a quiet dinner. Always highly recommended!
We had heard many good things about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The food was well prepared, creative menu, not your same old, same old Italian; everything fresh and when possible, locally sourced. It was a little loud, mainly due to a very large party.
Always delicious! Service is great. The acoustics in the main room is always a bit loud, but I still love it!
Wait staff couldn’t describe the wine. Salmon was overcooked. Nothing was memorable, save for the charming interior.
Delicious fresh food, I have celiac and my server was very knowledgeable about dining gluten free. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately, it was a holiday weekend so the porch was full and we had to sit inside. It was very loud and we had to ask to be relocated from a smaller dining room to a larger one in hopes of being able to hear each other. It was ok for a bit. The food was quite good and the server did not miss a step, even when we moved. Would recommend, but with the caveat that you should eat outside if you want to hold a conversation.
Dinner and service was excellent as always. Come here every time we’re in the Catskills visiting our kids.
This place came very highly recommended. Let me start by saying we would go back. Now the buts.....the menu is limited. We had a hard time finding something. What we ended up with was very, very good! A pasta and a chicken , both good! It was very noisy, a lot of servers running back and forth which we found very disturbing. The wait staff were very attentive and pleasant. It is nestled in the Catskill Mountains, so the area is just beautiful. If it a try but check out the menu first. The cost was reasonable too.
Another excellent dinner at Cucina. Service was impeccable and I thoroughly recommend the Blood Orange Cosmo as an aperitif. Food delicious and beautifully presented in a warm friendly ambience.
