Owner Tracy Borkum's flair for combining great ambience, award-winning cuisine and unparalleled service are once again starring components in this latest Urban Kitchen Group creation. Executive Chef Tim Kolanko and Chef de Cuisine Cesar Sarmiento bring their artistry to the table as guests enjoy an open kitchen. The menu features Italian classics with a modern twist, made with the freshest local, organic and sustainable ingredients. Along with a diverse selection of wines by the glass, guests may visit the restaurant's retail area to select from over 200 bottles for dinner (corkage fee of $10 applies) or purchase wine to go. Unfortunately, not as good as our many other visits throughout Cucina’s history. Service level was not up to par and for the first time, we had food served that had a hair in it. While it was quickly resolved, there was no attempt to alleviate such an unsettling situation, just a simple ‘sorry’. Additionally, we indicated it was our anniversary in the reservation. There was no acknowledgement of that (like a simple Happy Anniversary) by staff, which they have done before. It seems like the quality of service at this location has been impacted which is unfortunate.

We went for the $16 Anniversary menu. Overall was ok, can use some improvements. The wines offering was limited so we had to order from the regular menu The food was a hit a miss: - Margherita pizza was dull looking, not puffed enough and airy so was dense and very chewy. Taste was very average. - No salad offered so we order from the regular menu. The Italian chopped salad was ok, no WOW factor, got too much peppers. - Lasagna was run out so we had to order the ragu with polenta: the ragu was delicious, well balanced with taste/flavor/texture. However, the polenta was runny like porridge although it tasted good. I would make the polenta more set or thicker. I wish the restaurant to thrive but if things are not consistent and patrons don't get a good experience, they won't come back.

I have been here several times and the service has always been so so . Many servers walked past me as I was waiting at my table for my other guest. I finally asked someone passing by for water, otherwise I would have waited longer than 15 minutes to be recognized. I don't understand poor service, it detracts from the overall experience. I don't know if I'll go back .

I’m writing to share some frustration with our recent visit. We had a reservation for a party of four, and upon arrival, we checked in with the hostess as instructed. However, we were asked to wait outside—despite the restaurant not being particularly busy at the time. What made the situation especially confusing was that another party of four, who did not have a reservation, was seated before us. It wasn’t until I approached the hostess again and reiterated that we had already checked in that we were finally seated. While I understand that mistakes can happen during busy times, this experience felt avoidable and disappointing given that we had booked ahead. I’m sharing this in the hope it can help improve the check-in and seating process, so future guests don’t have the same experience. Unfortunately, our evening didn’t improve much after being seated. While we did our best to move past the earlier check-in issue, our experience with our server made that difficult. He seemed disengaged throughout the evening—rarely checking in, slow to respond to our requests, and overall giving the impression that he didn’t want to be there. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere that detracted from what we had hoped would be a pleasant night out. We understand that everyone can have an off day, but the combination of these service issues left us feeling disappointed. We truly hope you’ll take this feedback constructively to improve the overall experience for future guests. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback.
