    Food was good, although all dishes we ordered were a bit spicy for us (could tone down use of Calabrian chilis!). Our server was good - friendly, attentive - but wait times long. Not sure if they were short staffed or what. (Bus boys not available readily.) With so many other good Italian restaurants all over San Diego, not sure we'd go back.

    This love the food ! The pastas are delicious! I had the sun choke ravioli with balsamic glaze! Scrumptious! I recommended the short rib to my friends and they truly thought it was flavorful . The only dish I thought was ordinary was the chopped salad.

    Not the same level of service we have experienced in past at Urbana, from the host stand to the cleanliness of the table (used tissue left on one of the chairs) to the waiter. Boring and cramped layout of tables. Not enough lighting to read the menus without using my cell phone light (and I saw 3 other diners doing the same thing). Some of our food was good enough, but other items were bland and clearly lacked right levels of seasoning (brussels sprouts and smashed potato). Our server processed our bill right in front of us on the touch pad then waited over my shoulder while I decided on the tip - VERY AWKWARD AND RUDE. I can’t see us coming back

    Food was good but not as good as we expected.Ambiance and service was great,including value. Clam pasta was way too salty and Chicken entree wasn't seasoned at all.We were told Octopus appetizer was a hot dish,but came out cold,almost like a bean salad.Pasta bolognese was under cooked and very chewy.

    We went back here because it is an all time forever. There were a lot of menu changes and not for the better. Not sure it will go back on our faves go to list.

    Cucina enoteca is one of our favorite go-to restaurants when my step daughter comes to town. We were initially seated at a table in the main dining room which was so noisy we couldn't hear ourselves so the hostess was gracious enough to seat us in another area that was great. Our food, as always, was delicious and we were just so stuffed when we left! My favorite is the stuffed squash blossoms (always incredible) and the Brussel sprouts were amazing too. We split a chopped salad (scrumptious) and a pizza....all that we've had are delicious!

    I enjoy this restaurant- the food and the service are very good- but it is VERY LOUD making it impossible to hear table mates. I will think twice before reserving here again at a normal evening dinnertime period. Off peak periods can be very enjoyable.

    We've dined here multiple times and I consider it my "go to" for consistently good food and service. Not true tonight. I have not been here in a long time and something has happened or tonight was an anomaly. First, the restaurant is always nice but they keep it so dark you can barely see anything. I have perfect vision and still needed to use a light to read the menu. I wonder if they are hiding something? Our normally flavorful food was bland. Literally everything was bland. Have they dumbed down the spices? Most annoying was our server. We had to flag him down for everything. To order, to ask for pepper and cheese, to order an extra bottle of wine, to order dessert and finally for our check. It was not easy doing this because he never once even glanced in our direction. He wasn't too busy either. He shuffled around slowly and then would go missing for long periods of time. Think I will wait a while for them to get act together again.

    Restaurant was relatively empty so quiet except for loud inappropriate music. Pasta dish with short rib was superb. But Bronzino dish was terrible. May look cute, but with sliced lemon and herbs inside, whole petite fish had many bones and left one hungry. Server was great. Surprised no one else came to our table when we expressed disappointment.

    Our waiter was mediocre at best. Took forever once the 4 of us were seated to finally get ANY service. Ordered 2 martinis, 1 vino & a bourbon. We dined family style: ordered a margarita pizza, family size chopped salad, Brussels, charred broccolini & a burata cheese plate. Food was good. No complaints. However server just deposited bill on the table without asking if we wanted coffee or dessert. Pretty poor show. I will say this: it would be great if occasionally they tweaked the menu more/ offered specials or made the menu a little more interesting. It’s remained pretty much the same with a couple of minor changes only over the years. Seasonable specials would be appreciated

    I had dinner with friends on a Sunday around 7pm. The staff was so accommodating and kind to my friends and I. The food was some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had! Felt like I was transported to Italy. Thank you Cucina Enoteca!

    Waiter overcharged us when we split the bill. Didn't realize until too late. Felt deceptive the way he showed us the bill. Ended up getting a 45% tip.

    Pedí las almejas al Limón y para mi gusto, tienen demasiado Limón, el chef debe de hacer mas suave el sabor para que no esté tan fuerte, el limon le roba todos los sabores de los demas ingredientes al platillo, me extraña que nadie haya reclamado.

    Nice restaurant. The food was not great but above average. We thought it was odd that there was no bread and oil/balsamic available at an Italian restaurant but it wasn't the end of the world by any means. The linguine with marinara was a little stingy on the marinara. The meatballs were good.

    The food was really bad. Bad quality ingredients, the pasta was cold, there was something gross (a bone?) in the appetizer…. Honestly a disaster. Service was good but a bit ‘inexpert’ Do not recommend

    Maybe it was an off night? Our server was very good. But the food wasn't what it used to be. The giant meatball was the best. Now it's 3 tiny meatballs. The chopped salad had no taste. The Burrata app was just strange. We used to love Cucina. But last night was not what we were expecting. Maybe it was just an off night. Sad to say but we probably will not go back.

    Sadly, things are going downhill here. No longer the local place to enjoy. First the food: Parm fries still yummy. Pate with onions quite tasty, though crisp cracker was overcooked. Chicken is good but bit dry, needed more lemon sauce and/or more sautéed greens to balance. Short rib pasta basic, nothing magical about it. The the service: champagne brought with wine glasses. told they don't have champagne glasses! Hah! saw the champagne glasses on our way out. Didn't bring bucket to keep chilled, though we requested it. No follow-up on whether things were OK. Mostly "get the order, get the patrons fed & out". Maybe they don't want locals anymore?

    I don't like the way I'm greeted at the front desk every time. They look at me like I'm homeless. although I look great. It would be nice to somehow improve this question. Because I visit this place often, I like the food there. Thanks

    I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years at least 2-4 times annually and have always enjoyed it. This was the slowest service I’ve ever experienced, combined with removing the exceptional charcuterie board that was on the menu. The prosciutto/mortadella option our server suggested instead was a pathetic replacement for that board, sadly this restaurant is moving down my list of places to go.

    The Brussels sprouts were great, and unique: deep fried, yet not greasy, just the right crispness, the stuffed squash blossoms were perfect, the pizza was a classic Margarita, and the hamburger was terrific: nice thick bacon perfectly done, and the meat was just as ordered: medium rare, and it had a great char, perfect composition. The service was terrific. . . A good natured helpful, and nice waitstaff is always waiting for us at Cucina Enoteca.
