Food was outstanding and our server Peter made the meal extremely pleasurable
Currently, the menu at Cucina 24 is fixed, except for the main course, with respect to which one is given a choice between chicken and fish. If you like Italian cooking with a bit of an "upscale twist," then Cucina 24 is for you. There were a number of appetizers, and then the second course had 3 more dishes. The pasta course and the main course (mackerel for me) then followed. Dessert consisted of chocolate cake, cheese with a honeycomb and strawberries. You will not go hungry. (Did I mention the focaccia and grissini to start?) The price for all of that food was very reasonable in my opinion. Overall, the meal was excellent, memorable and approximately on par with other fine meals at Vivian, Vue 1913 and the Dining Room at the Biltmore Inn that I enjoyed on my visit to Asheville.
The prix fixe menu and wine pairing were fabulous. The beef agnolotti dish was paired with a Sardinian red and were amazing.
the menu was difficult to read, food came out too fast
The fixed menu was absolutely wonderful: delicious and creative. It made a memorable meal for a special occasion. Truly exceptional and interesting food in a lovely space. We had even enough to enjoy for lunch the next day. (We’re local so easy to di).
We came to Cucina 24 without any notions about it as we’re from out of town. We’re on vacation and wanted a nice dinner after being on the road.
Not disappointed! Lots of small plates well prepared so we didn’t leave stuffed.
C24 remains the most creative restaurant we know. How does Brian keep coming up with foods and preparations we never heard of ?!? The tasting menu format is simultaneously relaxing and exciting. Keep it up.
Great tasting menu with expertly paired wines. Would highly recommend.
Very curtailed menu (still?) but the Chef's Daily Offering of 5 courses was excellent. The Tuna Crudo course was "only" good", but the other 4 courses were top-notch. Wine list excellent as well with detailed, knowledgable, all-Italian list. All in all an excellent experience and we will certainly return and recommend!
A great restaurant with authentic Italian dishes and great menu. It’s a set menu that’s different every time. A definite recommendation!
Loved everything about this experience. You sit, they come, and serve 5 delicious courses. Nothing to decide or chose from. They just bring food. Finished every delectable crumb. A great evening
Absolutely wonderful. The best food we’ve had in a long time.
We ate here for mother's day. It wasn't the normal a la carte menu. It was a prix fixe menu with lots of fancy foods and several courses.
There were things I wouldn't have normally chosen off a menu but was happy to try them and overall, it was a great experience. If you want a sophisticated meal, this is your place.
If you like fresh vegetables and subtlety wonderful high end Italian this is the best place in Asheville and frankly maybe on the east coast.
I’d personally rank it with French Laundry but at a fraction of the price.
Every detail of the food has been carefully thought out but not by a technician, by an artist.
Not to be missed.
Beautiful display of unique and delicious foods! We had a wonderful time and were honored to have partaken in such a wonderfully unique experience.
Amazing service and food. The food was the focus of a huge portion of our conversation, all in positive tones and commentary, even guessing who liked what the most. Great for dates & friends/family who like to share food. (And if you don’t like to then learn to, sorry.) They even made us custom mocktails for $3 per drink. It was super nice of them.
The meal we had here was truly extraordinary. We were served five courses. This seemed daunting when we read about it, but each course was appropriately small. The snacks, appetizers and desserts were the best part of the meal. On the day we went, the snacks included a dish made of shiitake mushrooms and nettles. This might be the best one-bite dish I've ever eaten. The staff was informed, attentive and warm. At $65 for food alone, this is not an inexpensive meal. But if you want an exceptional dining experience and can afford it, go.
I don't know if the new (covid) "tapas" menu is permanent or not, but it was truly wonderful! Try it!
We visited Cucina24 for the first time to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary. We tried the chef's tasting menu and enjoyed the visual and textural variety accompanying with the delicious flavors. There were local and fresh ingredients, paired in creative ways that made the meal fresh and interesting throughout. The service was great! Both servers that we interacted with made sure that we understood the menu and each dish as it came out and highlighted noteworthy features. The cocktails were well balanced and delicious and they brought us glasses of prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. Overall, definitely recommend and would go again.
What a great experience. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the food was amazing! Highly recommend!
Great Food and phenomenal drinks. The bartender was our server and he made our anniversary awesome. Definitely will be returning next time I’m in Asheville.
We often feel that high prices for a dinner out are almost never worth it but this 5 course dinner was worth every penny. The menu was thoughtfully curated with fresh and creative combinations and the customer service was excellent. Would definitely return!
Outstanding, fantastic and downright delicious! Becky took amazing care of us. She knows the food and wine list like the back of her hand. She amazes me with her knowledge. And then there is Chef Brian who continues to wow us each time we visit. Love Cucina 24!
Tasting menu was stellar, every course was beyond our expectations and expertly explained by our server, Becky.
Cuchina 24 is a must stop for us when we are in the Asheville. We normally have order off of the menu but they are only offering fixed meals due to COVID. It was excellent. They served several courses that I really enjoyed but were items I never would have ordered. I recommend C24 to all of my friends and coworkers spending any days in Asheville.
Innovative and well prepared food. Five courses with great variety of flavors and textures. Attentive professional service.
Amazing meal!!! Superb service; quiet and serene setting. Enjoyed a five course shared plate meal, and every course was fantastic. Celebrated our 30th anniversary there and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Excellent all around!!!
You are #1 on our special night out list. Thank you for many inventive, delicious meals.
P.S. Our server seemed inexperienced compared to others in the past. Just give her time!
Just weird food. My husband could barely eat any of it. Would not recommend.
great service and knowledgable staff explaining the excellent foods
I was so impressed by Cucina 24! It was a 6 course pre-fixe and offered so much variety. There was such attention to detail, from the starters to the salad and vegetables to the pasta and the fish. Dessert was excellent as well. The service was impeccable and each dish was explained to us in detail. They also really paid attention to our food restrictions (1 person was gluten-free, another was a pescatarian) and it really made us feel special. I would go back here again if I lived in the Asheville area, but I will definitely recommend it to anyone visiting.
A truly memorable dining experience. The six courses were beautifully prepared and delicious. We added the wine pairing and really enjoyed the selections. Service was impeccable. Cucina 24 was a highlight of our Asheville visit.
My husband and I are big fans of tasting menus. I say that so readers know we have a solid base for comparison. This meal was among the best we have had in years! And it was priced at an incredibly reasonable $60 for five courses! The first course consisted of various small bits of appetizers, second were three “salads” constructed with fresh and local ingredients, third was gnocchi in brown butter served with fried soft shell crab pieces. (The contrast between the pillow soft gnocchi and the crunchy crab was fantastic!) Fourth course we had our choice of either mackerel or beef cheeks and for dessert, there was panna cotta topped with balsamic sorbet.
It has been our recent experience (last few years) with tasting menus that there may be one or two fantastic courses, but seldom have we enjoyed a meal when EVERY.SINGLE.COURSE was a home run. This restaurant scored on every course.
If you live in Asheville, lucky you—go to this restaurant. If you are visiting, like we were, be sure to make your reservations and enjoy. Service was superlative, timing excellent and we will be sure to return if ever in the area again.
Overall this was a lovely dinner with lots of tastes. I like the tasting menu concepts and wish that more restaurants had it.
We went for dinner and its only a fixed menu for dining in at the moment. I’m not allowed to eat gluten which is super annoying. They were so accommodating and amazing - made every dish, even pasta, gluten free. Was really kind and unexpected, and I appreciate it so much. Food and service was amazing.
A little pricy but really worth it. Very creative food, excellent service and interesting wines.
The 5 course meal was great - and was able to modify to our dietary needs.
I enjoyed my meal with 3 other people. The tasting course was excellent. I loved the salad course. The vegetables were very fresh, as if they were just picked from a garden. The serving sizes were appropriate. For the protein course, my pork chop was tender and tasty. I had a taste of my wife's monkfish which I thought was too acidic but she thought it was fine. The restaurant was very strict on Covid precautions which is very good. Our waiter was helpful and very knowledgable. We will dine here again when we visit Asheville.
This is one of our favorite restaurants, and is always great. But this visit was outstanding. Maybe the best meal we have had here over the past 7 or so years.
Excellent service! Fixed course dinner was perfect.
