We sat in the bar to enjoy Happy Hour. The bartender was fantastic. He was friendly, efficient and extremely knowledgeable about their wine offerings. He made everyone in the packed bar area feel welcome and well taken care of.

I like Crush as a meeting place for drinks but the food is average. The menu looks appealing but the preparation comes up short. Squash blossoms must have been pre-prepared and were chewy not crisp. My lobster tail needed salt to add to a flavorless dish. Desserts seemed mass produced and not worth the caloric intake. Our waitress was great

Very high prices for mediocre food, small portions, and spotty service. I ordered a kale salad with salmon. For $26 it was a small salad with a lunch portion of salmon. Definitely did not feel satisfied. Everyone else at my table ordered pasta which was bland and a small portion. The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived and more than 3/4 empty when we left. Definitely should have been a red flag.

We ordered the squash blossoms for an appetizer. They were battered and deep fried. Nothing special.

One of the adult dishes came out the exact same size as my 4-year-olds tiny bowl of noodles from the children’s menu (in the same small children’s bowl). When we politely asked the waitress if it was a mistake she pushed back and said no. When she finally agreed to bring a new portion it was the same few noodles in a different bowl. Considering pasta is inexpensive, they easily could have made up a fresh bigger dish when they saw there was a quality issue. Also, the waitress brought out a tiny bowl of Parmesan cheese for a table of 9 people to share. When we requested more, she left and never came back! We had to ask again it took her a long time to bring it back. Food was cold by that point. Very strange considering the restaurant was empty.

Food was not good... all around, kids food as well as our food. Service was great. Our waiter was amazing. Female staff WAY overdone as if it were a club downtown. NOT a family restaurant. Will not return.

Dined here dozens of times the last few yrs. and something was off on this visit. First, whatever came out of the Tito’s bottle wasn’t Tito’s. Gluten allergy doesn’t lie. Kale salad very different than last visit. Nero Crab Ravioli was just bad. First, it was an appetizer size portion for an entree and whatever spices were used where overwhelming. Very disappointing. They are also quite proud of their wine based on the prices, especially by the glass. Thought I would try something new for an entree and it backfired. Historically the salad’s, pizza’s and pastas have been great. I chalk this up to an off night. Will probably try it again but this is not the Crush that it used to be...

Can’t wait to try other dishes.

The food is great. Real Italian with just enough of a twist to wake up the senses. Service is very good with a true personal touch, the servers actually stop to engage. And half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays . The live entertainment might be a little loud for a quiet dinner

Very poor service, the food was marginal. Considering the competition Crush has in the area we were very, very surprised with the bad service, we kept have to keep asking for things, took forever to bring them to our table one time I went and got it myself. Water was not refilled or any of the typical attention to details was tended to.

The service was terrible, asked three times for our waitress who never came. Waited an hour for our food and two of the three dishes were not good. Had to ask for bread 45 minutes into our wait. Mine was terrible and I did not eat it at all. They were very nice just not good at their jobs. The drinks were good.

We always enjoy our time at Crush. The only issue this time was they were sold out of three of their main entrees. We had an 8pm reservation, not too late. A little disappointing. They did however compensate us by buying us a bottle of wine. Still had a nice time. We’ll just remember to make earlier reservations when dimming here.

We went here for dinner on Friday before a show at the Belly Up. The food is high-priced, and frankly, it wasn't very disappointing. $20 for a hunk of burrata covered in pesto with exactly 4 stewed cherry tomatoes - which they called bruschetta. The burrata was good. We also got the shrimp cocktail with their "homemade Burbon sauce" in place of the cocktail sauce. It was horrible. It was a mayo-based sauce, and not flavorful. Who wants to dip their shrimp in mayo?!? We were going to send it back, but the waitress (who had too many tables) said they could make us up some cocktail sauce. The shrimp was fishy, and no longer chilled by the time the cocktail sauce finally made it to the table. We split an entre of the lasagne which was good and a salad. We each had a glass of champagne, I had a wine and hubs had a beer. We walked out after paying the $150 bill and felt very disappointed in the food and the service (not the waitress's fault). The guy they had playing live music was great. Won't go back.

The food was awful. We both had the chicken piccata, and the sauce was goopy and overwhelmed the chicken. We would never go back. The only good thing was the waiter, who was excellent.

We went here on our 5th anniversary to recreate our first date . That evening the dinner was splendid. This time not so much, except the bar staff who were friendly, and after knowing it was a special evening for us comped one of our cocktails. We used to love coming here but I must say the dinner was a bit disappointing, the short ribs were dry and the steamed clams were just average, and in my opinion there weren't very many. This seems to be a trend as our last visit here was below our expectations as well, but we chalked that one up to a bad day. But two times in a row typically isn't a coincidence. I hope things turn around, as this was one of our go to places for a nice romantic evening with a good meal.

This restaurant is not only beautiful inside, it is expertly run with attention given to every detail. The staff is excellent, so kind and attentive while allowing us to have our privacy too. The food is outstanding, from the crab cakes to the salad to the entrees. We even returned the next evening for a late night dessert and coffee. Would highly recommend this restaurant . Live music and cute patio also!

We had a party of 10 and food was well prepared and very good with everything being served on hot plates; however, service was somewhat substandard. Waiter was very pleasant but the food came out at different times and there was confusion about who ordered what.

The biggest minus for me was the filthy ladies room that I was so disgusted by that I had to complain to the hostess and ask her to have someone go in and clean immediately!

We enjoyed our evening at Crush very much. It was a Saturday night, during the Del Mar Fair - so we believe the crowd was down as a result. We arrived early for our reservation, so we enjoyed a drink at the bar first. The band began playing at 7:00 and it was a very pleasant atmosphere. Even sitting in the bar, just a few seats from the band, it was not overly loud. We could enjoy the music but still have conversation. The 2 gals tending bar were very friendly. Our time was so pleasant that we chose to give up our table in the dining area and just stay and eat at the bar. The meatballs were delicious, as was the chicken parmigiana. We definitely plan to return here and look forward to it.

Nice dining experience. Wasn't crowded so the waitress had plenty of time to attend to us and did a good job. My wife had the vodka sauce gnochi and beet/mozerella salad. I had the braised short ribs. She loved her choice and although the short ribs were a little dry, they were flavorful. Weds was 50% off on any bottle of wine of $50. We had the Evolution Pinot Noir from Oregon. Good deal at $25. Restaurant is close enough to walk to the Belly Up bar for a show or you can hang out until 7 pm and Crush has its own live entertainment

I love Crush! I’ve been eating there for years. I always take friends, or my sister there before going to concerts at the BellyUp because it is only 3 minutes away from this fabulous music venue. Crush has delicious appetizers, salads, and entrees as well as wonderful cocktails. My sister and I were also pleased to enjoy happy hour prices which lasted all evening last Monday! I highly recommend Crush and will continue to dine there every chance I get!

Made reservations on line. When we arrived we stood at check in table for 10 minutes without acknowledgement. I then walked over to bar and ask bartender we made reservations. Told me sit anywhere u like. So we sat down. After 15 minutes waiter came by with menus. Waited another 20 minutes to order. Drinks came first. Waited another 30 minutes for food. By this time the waiters were drunk or high. Brought our food and it was good. Never came back to acknowledged if everything was ok. We ate but most of the crowd there were drunk as well as the waiters and bartenders and bar backs. We stayed for 3 hours and had to go up and ask for the check. Brought it and threw the book down on the table. Sat there and waited 45 minutes and they never came back to get payment. They were not busy. So I finally walked up to the bar and waited to get receipt. I will never go back there. The food was good but service so horrible.
