My wife and I met relatives on the drive back from Florida. We wanted a quiet place conducive to conversation. Crossroads was perfect!
We started outside but moved to a nice quiet table inside where James our waiter gave us great service - We both started with the Cauliflower/Brie soup which had such a rich texture and a great way to start the meal. We both then had the Salmon entry - the dressing over the top was amazing and the fish was perfectly cooked. James actually ended up taking our picture as this was the first time we as a new couple had eaten at the CrossRoad Restaurant. 5 stars for service and for food. What more could you want?
Wonderful patio dining.
Not the wonderful experience that I’ve grow accustomed to at The Carolina Inn. Woefully inferior service and new interior decor not in line with the history of the inn. Poorly planned from new ownership group. Get it together Hyatt or sell to someone who cares about the history.
Until the bar service is replaced with the reopening of the restaurant, it is strongly suggested to avoid eating at Crossroads. Not only are the selections unappetizingly limited but also the pricing is high compared to value. $25 for overcooked chicken is an example. So too is being served a pricey espresso in a paper cup and stingy at that with 1 wooden stirrer for two people. Crossroads does not match the quality of The Carolina Inn which is a superior hotel.
Fabulous service in a difficult covid time! Well done team! Thank you for making us feel so welcome. OUTSTANDING food!
Birthday dinner
just a "cold austere" ambience, not conducive to enjoying a meal...stark and bare..food ok, service good but the atmosphere leaves MUCH TO BE DESIRED
The dining room at the Carolina Inn has all its former charm and character stripped away.
The prices are expensive, though the food was good.
Excellent meal and wonderful to dine outside in a beautiful college town!
We enjoyed at lovely dinner at Crossroad restaurant's outdoor dining. The food was delicious. We started with the fried oysters, and I had the chicken entree. I highly recommend both. The service was also great! We will definitely return the next time we are in Chapel Hill.
Great setting and patio views
We had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday at Crossroads. Outdoor seating was comfortable and a wedding on the lawn provided live music throughout the evening. The service was fantastic and the food delicious.
Very nice experience, more casual than I anticipated but great service and great food
Excellent service, tasty food, and great presentation. I wish the restaurant setting itself was slightly more elevated, but overall amazing experience!
Food was delicious and service was great. Thanks for an enjoyable dining experience!
Loved it; despite rain the outdoor dining was fantastic and always enjoy being at the Inn.
Our server was excellent. Most dishes were great and some just ok. Ambiance was definitely lacking.
Crossroads is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. The food is consistently great! On the last visit, the service was uniquely slow and the ambience stark. Understanding there are new policies in place for COVID, service could have been more attentive; felt slightly disjointed. This will NOT keep us from going back but worth noting in this atypical environment.
The service was great - everyone working together as a team. The food was amazing - waiter recommendations for appetizers to share were perfect.
The service was fabulous as usual and the beef short rib special was an excellent surprise!!
Outstanding as always!!! One of the best places in Chaple Hill .
We had a delicious meal in a lovely setting with gracious service.
Server was outstanding and made sure birthday dinner was excellent.
Food and service were outstanding. Able to eat outside and social distance.
Great, simple food with quality ingredients and clean presentation. Everyone enjoyed their meal!
Several OK dishes, several other dishes with ingredient combinations that just did not work. Overly complicated dishes without much cohesion. Very nice venue and environment and good service overall.
Always fabulous!
Outdoor. There was a lot of construction noise in the area.
Food not good- not like it used to be
Went for brunch and it was a good meal. Service was quick and friendly. My chair wobbled some and the table itself was small, crowding everything which I don’t like.
The restaurant is in the beautiful Carolina Inn. The restaurant is lovely yet very loud. We were seated in the back room next to the fireplace which was a little quieter. The wait staff was amazing, especially James. He was well informed on the food and preparations. I would highly suggest going to the Carolina Inn for any meal or even a drink at the lovely bar.
The food at Crossroads continues to be first-rate. And the service is everything you could wish for. I think the prices are fair--but this is not an inexpensive night out. With wine, tip, and tax, dinner will be in the 65 to 75 range per person.
Crossroads is our go to spot for dinner before the symphony. As senior citizens, it is convenient free parking and the food and service are always top notch. Loved the blood orange creme brulee.
This used to be a very nice and elegant restaurant. Unfortunately they decided to renovate it and turn it into a very bland and generic space. The food and service is also not of the same quality as before. Such a shame, though it is still a convenient place for lunch if you are coming from UNC.
Great place for a business breakfast meeting because it is well lighted and quiet enough to talk.
Crossroads at The historic Carolina Inn is a contemporary restaurant that retains the southern charm of the Inn Itself . The venue is delightful and welcoming from the restaurant manager and the wine steward to all of the professional wait staff. The menu is well balanced and the chef is superb as is the food presentation .Our table selected three quite different main courses and every one received a rave review by the very happy and well travelled guests I brought to Crossroads .
My dinner partner and I were a bit tired from flying all day so decided to stay in the hotel and eat here at Crossroads. Great service, wine we ordered was unavailable but an excellent substitute was offered. Foie gras very good, as was the burrata and beet salad. Delicious main courses of scallops and wild mushroom pappardelle. Cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Simply awesome!!
Very disappoint with foods ,300 $ dinner so expensive and not that good for a Valentine's day.
