We have eaten dinner here many times but this was the first time trying their brunch. It is on the pricier side but it definitely worth it! Not just for the food, but for the experience dining there. We went on a sunny December morning so the sunlight was pouring in to the dining room through the skylights. Absolutely wonderful time spent with our family of 4, one was home from college, and we just wanted a nice meal after church before the real hustle and bustle of Christmas hit us. Crop's brunch definitely delivered! This place just does not disappoint.
We had a 40th birthday party at Crop with a large group on a Saturday evening. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks which came just before our meals. Our server was doing his best but seemed to be overwhelmed with too many large group tables. I didn’t see any help from expediting staff either. My wife approached the bar and was met with a frustrated, frantic bartender who clearly couldn’t keep up with the bar and table orders. I’m sure this place is fantastic on a weeknight, but waiting over a half hour for your drinks is just unacceptable no matter how busy. On the other hand, the food was excellent and the architecture is truly amazing, so I hope they get their staffing issues worked out so I can have a better experience next time I visit.
I’ve been to Crop several times and normally have had a great experience every time, except this time. Food was great and service was great, until the restaurant filled up. Once they filled up we saw less and less of our waiter. When we ordered desert we also ordered cappuccino, but apparently the cappuccino machine was not working. Our waiter explained the machine was not working when he brought out our desert and mentioned he would bring our cappuccino’s as soon as the machine was working. He left so quickly he didn’t give us a chance to say we would just have coffee. He came back after we finished our desert and told us the machine still was not working. Again he took off fairly quickly and did not hear me when I asked for
Our party was very pleased with this for celebration. Patty our server was fun and efficient. Structure is a beautiful show of craftsman pride from that time. Will absolutely return
Found the food quite underwhelming. Basically felt like I paid all that money for atmosphere and that’s it.
Everything was ok.
Wide range of quality food items on the Buffet. Attentive service. Cool atmosphere.
We had Fran for our server and she was very very nice... The food was bad! The turkey dinner was dry and I had the braised short ribs and they tasted like rubber... I wouldn't say I won't go back but its not high on my list..
This was so disappointing. I brought out of town visitors to Crop to show off the beautiful facility and the local sourced menu. Lunch for 3 adults and 1 child (plus tip) was $84. The food was no more inventive, creative or delicious than your average chain restaurant. . in fact the "salmon burger" was so over cooked as to be dry. I won't be back.
great food choices and quality ...we would go again in a minute. great brunch...nice atmosphere and service too
The food and service was outstanding. The high ceilings and marble cause the noise level to be higher.
Great service, good food
Another great meal at Crop! Food was great, service by Patty terrific. Nice ambiance.
We love Crop - first time in for brunch - loved it and will definitely be back!
Service without a smile. I think we caught the waiter on a bad night - awkward comments and unfriendly demeanor. Food was pretty good but not great. Don't think we will be back.
Not knock your socks off, no complaints. Everything was good.
Excellent service and great food!
Went here for my birthday. Went on a Sunday for the brunch buffet. It was delicious! Lots of different breakfast food so available, fruits, different kinds of breads and biscuits, delicious lunch options, carving station, seafood, and a good assortment of desserts.
The staff was great! So, so attentive. The food was phenomenal! We will definitely return.
Was looking forward to dinner with friends and a nice evening out, I preferred the old location. If you like to talk in a real loud voice and struggle to hear then this is the place for you. The food was good, nothing to really rave about. The service was hit and miss and inattentive. Won’t be returning.
I’m really not a negative reviewer, just wasn’t good enough for me.
The food and specials were exceptional! The waitress was a bit frazzled and forgetful as she was working since 7 am. The table location wasn’t as intimate as larger groups were seated next to our 4 top booth seat. I will always recommend Crop as I feel the quality dishes speak for themselves.
The restaurant building and food were magical. The chef should be complimented! The service I had was the worst experience in my life. The server was not thrilled with serving our large group. Our appetizer came late, but BEFORE our drinks. Our dinners arrived even later. The rating would be 5-Star if not for our servers apparent disinterest in our table.
Loved Crop Bistro. Will definitely be back! The building is bea6, the menu is diverse and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Although the place can be noisy due to the high ceilings, it is a stunning space. The cocktails and food were amazing, as well as the complimentary birthday cake after the meal. All was presented with honesty and flair by Juan, who was very informative, and patient with all our inquiries. Another great evening at Crop.
Gina and the rest of the staff were very attentive and accommodating. We went for the wonderful Sunday Brunch and will be returning.
It was so good I have a reservation for 11/04/18 for my grandson's 13th birthday.
Never stop doing brunch! The building is an amazing piece of 1900’s architecture and the food is second to none in the world brunch.
It was very cold, food got cold fast. But the food was very good very nice place
This place is great. The acoustics are poor make conversation difficult.
We had a great meal with one small exception, of the 3 people in our party that ordered the house salad as a side, one of the 3 was vary weak on the the toppings while the other 2 were very nice. The service was very average, not bad but our server did not have much of a personality which we always expect when going to what I consider a high end restaurant. The pan seared halibut special was outstanding! We've been here before, love the atmosphere and we will be back!
Drove from Erie pa for lunch buffet Amazing venue and building Hard to beat the beautiful architecture of the building Menu and presentation was excellent only complaint we arrived around 1245 finished meal there were no deserts except for cookies and four empty trays that held deserts earlier too bad Dr Mike Machuga
Yesterday we went to Crop to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The buffet is incredible! Loaded with all kinds of seafood including crab legs, colossal shrimp, smoked salmon - half and whole, lots of salads both seafood and otherwise. Tons of breakfast selections, made to order omelets, a carving station, fruit galore and mini desserts.
Give yourself enough time to enjoy the ambience and delicious selections. Patty - our wait staff was pleasant, friendly and
The only down side was they never acknowledged the occasion we were there for, though I noted it in our reservation.
Besides that - we will definitely be back!
The service is commendable. They don’t bother you but they are informative, pick up used plates promptly, brought over necessary empty bowls to discard crab legs and mussels after eating, drink refills, omelets, etc. The food was good but my husband thinks it was excellent so we definitely revisit. I asked and employee what kind of dressing was in front of him and he put his pinky finger in it to taste it and the silverware is put on the table for you to reuse once they come to get your used plate. I didn’t like that because I’m a germophobe.
Great value for lunch with an amazing selection! It is very beautiful with so much history. Can’t wait to try it for dinner.
Our first time at crop. Beautiful inside, high ceilings with classy decor. Food was very good. Lamb meatballs are a must. Icelandic sole was the hit of the night. The braised short ribs were perfect. My shrimp and scallops were okay. Shrimp was a little overdone. Overall, we were very impressed . Highly recommend.
Although we were not impressed with our hostess (no smile or greeting when we entered), once seated we experienced great service and friendliness from our waiter. Disappointingly, we made our reservation through Open Table and stated we were celebrating our anniversaries and my husband also mentioned this to the hostess, however we were never acknowledged about our anniversary and no special dessert for that celebration. For a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect more!
We decided on Crops as a last minute decision. The food was amazing. My husband mentioned that he definitely would suggest having a business meal here.
Only complaint was the bathrooms were freezing! Glad I had my coat on. My husband said the Mens was cold too.
Avoid. This place seems to have gone way downhill since I enjoyed it a few years ago. My "merguez sausage" dish looked and tasted like small meatballs (on the bland side of "Swedish meatballs") -- not what I associate with merguez. My ratatouille side tasted like it was made with generic marinara sauce. My crispy calamari were the least mediocre, but considered on their own, they wouldn't make it worth the trip or the cost. (By the way, the low noise level may simply reflect the fact that the place was nearly empty at 8pm on a Thursday. Apparently the world has moved on.)
Wonderful, we enjoyed the rib eye, shrimp and scallops, and pistachio cheesecake!
Everyone in our party of seven loved their food and the service was excellent!
