Bob was amazing!!! The food and drinks was delicious!!! It was nice and quiet with good music playing,I’ll be back soon!!
Great service! And quick. Food was incredible and worth every penny!
Food was perfectly prepared and served.
Always a wonderful treat——consistency and quality!
Really enjoyed our meal and the fillet was divine. Our cheesecake dessert was light fluffy and just perfect. It would be hard to eat a heavy dense cheesecake after a meal so this one was a pleasant surprise to our tastebuds. My younger son was dining with us but our server treated him like a little adult while still tailoring the questions and service to a kid. I think the price was comparable to other steakhouses I have dined at. The augratin side was good but did taste like velveeta or American cheese was an ingredient and that’s not my personal preference so I’ll try something else if I ever am in the area and can dine with you again. I loved the old tile floor and days gone by decor. I would recommend anyone looking for a great steak to try this place.
Celebrated our 33 year wedding anniversary! We wanted to try a different steak house in New Orleans. We were so delighted when they seated us in the curtain booth. Made our night special. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The huge filet wrapped in smoked bacon was the best I’ve ever had! Their German potatoes were over the top delicious! Would highly recommend this restaurant! Thanks for a wonderful delicious evening.

Wonderful food, good service
Delicious food, loving down home warmth! This is my FAVORITE dining spot in NO!!!
When pulling into the parking lot, I was pleasantly surprised there was an armed guard directing guests where to park in lot. Given the area, I felt immediately better about parking my car there. When I walked in with my date, the hostess reluctantly greeted us and asked if I had a reservation. I told her we did and that it was made weeks ago. She asked us to follow her and quickly disappeared walking in front of us as there was a tiny hallway connecting the two seating areas in the restaurant. We didn’t know where she went so we awkwardly stood by the bar waiting to be directed to a table. I looked up and saw her angrily looking at me as she waved “come here” from across the dining room. Evidently we were being sat in the smaller, separate dining area that had only four tables. After finally being sat, the server didn’t greet us for almost 5 whole minutes. He brought us menus and walked off. I had to wait another 5 minutes before he returned to ask for a drink menu... Aside from the aforementioned issues, our steak was mediocre at best. I wanted to try a different steak house in the city and to be honest, I’m not impressed. I definitely won’t be back. There’s really no reason to when you can go to Ruth’s Chris, Chophouse, or La Boca. Don’t waste your time...
Food was reasonable and excellent. The service was great and the parking made it so easy since they have a parking lot. The man working the parking lot was extremely friendly. Can't wait to go back.
Only down part was the salad. The service, steak and dessert was amazing.
Great steaks and very attentive service.
Awesome dinner in the city! Nice tables small and quaint!
Love this place! Down home atmosphere great food, nice people.
Our family favorite for a special celebration or just a great steak dinner. Our recent experience was both. Casual atmosphere belies the excellence of the kitchen and staff. Make sure to add the creamed spinach and lyonnaise potatoes to your delicious steak or salmon.
The steaks are a great size but the food is very bland. We ordered 2 T-Bone Steaks that were unseasoned, potatoes AuGratin that were very bland, Broccoli AuGratin that was ok once salt and pepper was added and Asparagus that was ok. When it was time to pack up to food to go we left everything except the steaks, we figured we could have seasoned them in a pan when they were ready to be reheated. Overall this was a complete waste of $130.00.
Delicious food, good service, friendly atmosphere. Side portions could be larger and dining room noise level was a tad high. Overall, the experience was very good and a great value.
Disappointed. Ordered 2 salads got one, had to request the second salad. Wife ordered a filet andf got a new york strip. I asked for a medium rare steak and got a medium, not a big deal but it wasn't what I ordered. Paid the bill and left... won't return.
Really enjoyed it . Steak was delicious.
Quaint, local steakhouse in New Orleans. Unpretentious, good food, reasonably priced, excellent service.
Made a Valentine’s Day reservation for 12:00. All doors were locked. I called several times, but to no answer. I live in the Treme and was looking forward to supporting a local business. Very disappointed.
The filet was not quite as good as I remember. I was fairly disappointed... nice wine selection and great service, per usual.
A nice outing for a group of working colleagues. Casual setting. Terrific service and nice menu. Good selections of steaks and sides. No option for a baked potato which was unfortunate. Steaks cooked perfectly which was super though missing the taste of grilled meat or wood smoke.
CCSTH is always my first choice whenever I have a craving for a great steak dinner. From ap's to coffee and dessert everything is tops. The wait staff is attentive and the ambiance is casual (except l don't really care for TV's in restaurants) and relaxing. I usually get the ribeye and my wife gets the Filet. In all the years we never had to send anything back. If you can't choose between the cheesecake or bread pudding, don't. Get both and share.
Well at first we went early and didn't get the booth I requested. Second. They say.us where.the waiters were constantly bumping into.my chair. And I.was so.annoyed I finally ask.if the booth we reserved was available. So we moved into it and had to ask.for.refills on tea. Had to ask.for.the same things I asked for.when I ordered in the beginning. I made.reservations and said I.was celebrating my birthday and when I was finished eating.i had to remind the waiter.tjat we were celebrating. .i though desert would.have been complimentary, but no they charged us
Was very taken a back from moment that we stepped into Crescent City Steak. From the rude hostess to the in attentive server it was a disappointment. The hostess was very dismissive. One would think that keeping customers happy or at least making an attempt to would be paramount considering the number of equal or better quality steakhouses that exist in New Orleans. But neither made even a veiled attempt.
One hour and 2 visits from a waiter while tables seated after us received appetizers and entrees. No explanation other than it was busy
Wonderful as always.
Good service w/ average yet relatively inexpensive steaks (in comparison to other local steakhouses). The dining room is crowded and noisy.
We live the ambiance that is so real, so down to earth
Best steak in town. The service is the best in town as well
I did expect more... my husband’s steak looked picture perfect on the outside but it was under cooked and chewy, mine didn’t even look like a filet mignon but it was fairly tasty but overcooked... I’d like to go back some day.... and our waitress was quite attentive.
Love having in the neighborhood for excellent food , service . Perfect for special occasion too .
Everything was excellent once Stephanie our waitress noticed us sitting there unattended for 15minutes. She wasn't supposed to be our waitress, but was the only one who seemed to take notice of us. We were about to walk out, and I do say, she was a very good waitress indeed! Thank you Stephanie for saving our date night!
Best steak we have ever eaten. My husband & son had the fillet and it was large compared to most steak places. I had the ribeye which was nicely marbled. Everything can to the table piping hot and our server was very nice & helpful.
Great food in a great place!
I was extremely disappointed. Thought this was a neighborhood gem and if it is it is long gone. I am always disappointed when a steak house cannot cook a steak correctly and doesn’t offer to do it right. My husband ordered the most expensive cowboy ribeye in the menu and ordered it hot pink inside. It came out the first time rare. Sent it back and came back second time still dripping in blood. We actually took it back to out time share and nuked it! It was tough and stringy meat. Hardly above a low grade steak house.
Salads were nothing but bagged salad and a small serving. Maybe 3/4 cup. The au gratin potatoes were good but not much else
Service was poor unless you were a local. Sad and expensive experience
I took my sons and young (7 to 10 years) grandsons for the boys’ first steakhouse experience. It was perfect... Classic menu, great 20 ounce cowboy rib eyes with sides... The waitress was the perfect fit for our crew. We began a tradition that night. Expect we’ll need more rib eyes as the boys grow up...
Don’t worry about making reservations on opentable. They don’t honor them. Make sure to call ahead. Otherwise, the food is pretty good.
Loved it! We weren’t sure about the cut but next time we will get two filets
