Crescent City Brewhouse is a New Orleans staple for us. Over the past 25 years that we've been visiting New Orleans we've stopped in for at least one meal per trip.
We find the service to be consistent and the food is always top notch. I am a fan of their IPA and my only complaint is there is a 4 hour drive for me to get one.
This past weekend we took our son over for his birthday and of all the great places to eat in NOLA this was his first request.
Awesome service on such a crazy day. Fat Tuesday. Only complaint would be that the Beer flights are a set tasting menu and couldn’t mix it up. Otherwise great spot.
Loved your being in the French Quarter; added to our Mardi Gras festivities!
One of four meals was decent. Stuffed shrimp was all breading and then breading was burned on a flat top. Etouffe was not etouffe. Must be the same base as gumbo so do not call it etouffe.
Fabulous place, great food and everyone was super nice and attentive. We especially appreciated our server Kenneth who was knowledgeable, super nice, made fabulous recommendations and made sure we got everything we needed. Definitely a place I will visit again on my next trip to NOLA!
We wanted to love this place, but it just fell short. I brought my husband there for his birthday because he wanted authentic new orleans cuisine. The ambience was wonderful, and the live jazz music was great, but the food was underwhelming. The red beans and rice were bland, and the shrimp in my husband’s shrimp and grits was overcooked and tough. My husband literally NEVER complains about food, but this was terrible. He brought it to the attention of the waiter who did nothing. He apologized, but that was it. No speaking to the chef. No talking with a manager. Nothing. So we paid $26 for an order of shrimp and grits that was barely edible. The atmosphere alone makes it a cool spot for drinks and music, but I’d recommend eating somewhere else.
Very nice people working, clean facility, delicious food and outstanding wait servers.
Great food choices and good beer. The location was easy to get to and the size great for large parties.
We had a great time! Food and service was great. Would definitely go back!
I come here every time I visit the big easy. This last visit to this Brewhouse was noticeably worse. The rice was under cooked and the food did not taste fresh.
Birthday dinner that included 12 people. Waiter was great and everyone had a great time.
Great food and even better service from Lawrence. Wouldn't have changed a thing. Look forward to coming back soon.
The food was seasoned perfectly, the beer was excellent, and our server was terrific. Next time we’re in New Orleans, we’ll be back!
I came for the oyster sandwich which had been taken off the menu earlier in the month. I was disappointed that it couldn’t be made upon request since all the ingredients are still there.
Amazing bread pudding
Very quick and attentive service. Waitress was awesome.
In town for the College Football playoff.
Good but food was a little off. Not worth the price.
New Year’s Day family lunch.
Had to stand in line on the street even with reservations...server was unfriendly and slammed food and drink on the table. Our food was cold and over cooked...my husbands beer he ordered as soon as we sat down didn’t come until after we finished our meal. Won’t be back
Although I had a reservation, I needed to wait for 30 min for the table to be ready
Oysters were good, steak was terrible..fatty, stringy and chewy.. they should just remove this from the menu if they can’t order a quality steak. Service was good and we enjoyed the courtyard. Too expensive for what you get...
Went for New Years. Had a great seat to see the festivities across the street. Some food was great some not so good. A little expensive. Service was outstanding. Everyone was so nice. It was a great time.
My family dined here on New Year’s Eve. The food was delicious our waitress was awesome. We tried some gator bites and loved them!
Had the shrimp po boy, which was ice cold and bland. Husband had the trio, red beans, etc., which was just ok. Had to ask for salt and pepper, had to go get my own silverware. Have been many times, but this visit will be my last. Too many choices to return. 🙁
Great food and great service. Our waiter was great and made the perfect recommendations for beer, entree and desert. I would highly recommend this place
We had the Reveillion menu, which was really good -- especially the oyster stew! As I recall the menu, you can feed people with differing appetite levels pretty easily. My husband liked both the Red Stallion and the seasonal bock beers. We had a 6:30 p.m. reservation, but when another plan fell through, they seated us early without any problem.
Crescent City Brewhouse one of my favorite places in NOLA....
I must admit that The French Market Inn and Crescent City Brewhouse have been my perfect match for the past four years. I just cannot have one without the other. Crescent City Brewhouse is definitely a worthy stop because they brew all of their beer in house. I am not a beer drinker however, the selections look to be quite tantalizing. I continue to visit Crescent City Brewhouse each year because I love the live entertainment, the food, but more importantly the service. I know that Crescent City Brewhouse is not a five star restaurant but their service has always been five star to me. Our visit last night after Caroling in Square was made even more perfect by ending with our visit to Crescent City Brewhouse. Charmaine our waitresses was exceptional!!! I loved her positive attitude and her attention to us despite being so busy. Thank you! The manager not sure of his name was wonderful as well. I truly enjoyed my gumbo just wish I had a tad bit more and I loved the Baked Oysters Three Ways. They were oh so delicious!!! In addition to enjoying the food at Crescent City Brewhouse I loved how the restaurant embraces the arts. They have art pieces from a variety of local artists that change throughout the year. In addition, I love how they employ local musicians and also supported Caroling in Jackson Square. Thanks Crescent City Brewhouse for being not only a superb restaurant but for investing in the local community. I will definitely continue my yearly visits.
We stopped at the Brewhouse for Revillion dinner before a carriage ride. The four course meal was very good. I would recommend it to everyone.
We always eat here when we are in town and it’s always top notch!
The food was great and the portions large.
Great beer, food was delicious, creative. Service was outstanding. Had a great meal! Recommended.
Picked this place thinking it was a sports bar. The hostess could not have been more accommodating trying to make sure we could watch the game while we ate. Our server Sean was attentive and nice. The food was delicious. One of us had the trio plate, one had the mushroom pasta, one had a Caesar Salad and I had the roast pork po’ boy. (My friend did say the Trio Plate was not great.) But everything else was very good. From the beer drinkers, the selection seemed limited considering they offer flights- inferring there’s a lot of choices. On final minor thing- it was a cold night and the front of the restaurant was wide open. Brrrrr!
Love the hostess, waitress did a great job, food was amazing!
Our waiter Louise was amazing! Great energy, attentive, and efficient!! They made the experience!
Good food but very noisy
Six of us were visiting NOLA for a long weekend. We were looking for a decent restaurant with live music that could accommodate all of us. Crescent City did not disappoint. The restaurant is clean, beautiful and there was soft jazz playing at just the right volume that you could enjoy it and still hear the conversation. The service was impeccable. The food was incredible. I ordered the brewhouse ribs and mac&cheese and they were the best ribs I've ever had in my life. My brother-in-law had the same thing and it was unanimous. I think everyone tried a rib that night. We ended up ordering one of each dessert to share and we didn't have a bad bite all night. I highly recommend eating there if you are visiting the city. You won't regret it.
The location is right near the center of the French Quarter. There was live Jazz music which was great. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was good but a tad small in portion given the higher price.
Awesome place, consistent and quintessential New Orleans. Gumbo was very tasty, the Red Stallion draft simply to die for. Also, the fried oyster club is very very good!
