Waitstaff were great. We were in New Orleans and eating as a group. They had a mix of regular food items and New Orleans favorites. Beer selection was great. I loved all 6 beers on the sampler even ones I don't normally like. Right near the riverwalk in the french quarter. Ambiance is great but building feels newer compared to historic feel of other restaurants in the french quarter.
My wife and I were visiting New Orleans for the first time.
Great seating outside both upper 7 lower areas.
Great music and staff.
Need to carry bud light for those that don’t drink craft beers. Other than that, very good place to eat.
The bridal party next to us was obnoxious, lewd, rowdy, and loud. I finally requested that our party be moved to a different table, which they honored. We were not able to even have a conversation before the move. So not a good start, but improved with the move.
It was a really cute place with great prices and the wait staff was excellent. Its a mixture of pub food and nola specialties.
Ate here a few evenings ago. Just two of us at a high-top near the bar. Admittedly, the setting is really interesting. The bar is awesome, and the place has a nice vibe. We purchased the 6-beer sampler, which included the seasonal. The beers were generally fine, each more-or-less true to its style. Nothing notable, but all pretty well crafted. The food was just ok. More than anything, the food was served cold, and the server was completely indifferent to us-- to the point of rude. I get that this place is really busy; and perhaps the staff is overworked. But it's not as if we got a discount for that. We paid full price, and we would have liked competent, professional, and friendly service. We got none of that. As a caveat, let me say this: If you love the NoLa waterfront; if you enjoy the area where the French Quarter begins to transition into the French Market area, then you'll probably dig Crescent City Brewhouse. I personally think NoLa is kind of a dump; and this place didn't do anything to improve my impression. So again, if you really like NoLa and are fine to sub-par service, descent beer, and cold food, then you may really like Crescent City Brew.
Been here last year during FQFest - came back with more friends this year for FQFest. Great waiter handling 7 of us !
The food and the service were fine. The beer selection was bland. That day I visited three other brewpubs, and their beers all exceed the Crescent City selection by a wide margin. If you improve the beer list, your visitation rates will improve.
Final dinner of our extended weekend in New Orleans
Sit on the upper level patio if you can! Great view where you can people watch and see the steamboats. The Oyster Club sandwich was great! Also loved the Sangria! Great variety of menu items, there’s really something for everyone! Can’t wait to come back here!
Good beer and good food! Our waiter was attentive and gave us a lot of good suggestions of things to do in New Orleans.
Booked an Easter reservation so I could eat some awesome food while I waited for the annual Chris Owens easter Parade. Awesome food, service, no pressure to eat-and-leave, got to watch the parade and take some great photos. Highly recommend the Crescent City Brewhouse to locals and tourists. You can’t go wrong here, try the Seafood Cheesecake and Shrimp and Grits, my two favorites! And, if it’s a nice day, sit outside on the balcony under the umbrellas!
Great food, great service, great live music ! Made reservations just in case but ended up not even needing them, which is great!
Good but not exceptional! Too many exceptional restaurants in New Orleans to waste time eating somewhere good. It was fine but I’ll probably not go back.
The service was super! The food was nothing I would go back for.
Our waitress had trouble remembering our order. She recommended the brie appetizer which wasn't very good. The beer was excellent and we sat on the balcony which was cool for the kids.
The servers were so rude and unpleasant at the point of arrival that we left straightvway - having no faith in the subsequent service and not in the frame of mind to enjoy a meal there
Cookie cutter tourist trap. Too much fresh and authentic food in the city to waste time here. This food is sub par. Beer is good through.
The atmosphere was pretty cool, good location. We did not have to wait long for our reservation. Everyone loved their beer. The shrimp po-boys were pretty bland, so several in our group were disappointed.
We were entertaining guests from out of town and chose the Brewhouse for their Cajun cuisine. Good overall! Waitress seemed a little short with us and the food took a while to come out. We sat on the balcony which was too loud to be able to hear the band inside.
The food and service was very good, the selection of beer tasting was good to try. Would recommend this place for casual dining.
Our group enjoyed the overall dining experience and the food was very good.
The best crab cakes and seafood cheesecake! I wish the crab cakes were a meal and not just an app! Will be back soon!
Excellent food and mixed drinks. Great staff.
Great food. Great service. We’ll go again!!
The alligator and pork sausage was good but the shrimp po’boy was only so so. When I asked for cocktail sauce they brought me about a tablespoon or so and said that was all they had! Surprising in a restaurant offering a lot of seafood dishes. Overpriced for the quality of the food. But the beer was really good.
Great spot serving amazing in house beer. Will definitely go back!
We were first time diners. We brought our 8 year old child after researching kid-friendly restaurants in the area. We were able to walk-in 15 mins before our reservation and be seated right away, which was nice. Our server was amazing. She was very knowledgeable of the food and drink menus. She made wonderful cocktail suggestions for my husband. We started with the Brie appetizer and it was wonderful. My husband ordered a fish entree (I don’t remember which one) and I had the Shrimp and Grits. Both items were well flavored and the portions were just right. We finished with Bread Pudding for dessert and this item was the only thing I did not really care for. It was not heated all the way through and there was really nothing overly special about it. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would dine here again. I agree with the reviews that this restaurant is very kid friendly. We also enjoyed the live music.
The play we were attending before dinner was later then we expected so we arrived 30 minutes late nearly at closing time. The restaurant staff was gracious and seated and served us anyway. The food, beer, and service was great, as always. We have been customers of this restaurant for many years and would recommend it to anyone visiting N.O.
Had reservations and came early for a drink. They have their own brew which was very good. Our table had oysters, baked brie and fried gator for appetizers, all good. Shrimp and grits, ribs and the gator Po-boy were all also very good. Topped it off with deserts.
Good food and beer, but appreciated the great service!
Great location and ambiance. However, the beer and the band were way better than the food and the service, and the beer was only slightly above average.
Good food! Great venue!
If you are looking for real New Orleans experience. Stay away.
Came here for a Saturday night with a group of friends. Got a table in the back courtyard near the fire which was awesome! The service was excellent and fast. Had the beer taster, probably the best deal in all of New Orleans! Food was amazing too, would certainly recommend!
The seafood cheesecake and alligator bites were awesome!
Great food and service. We were looking for a dinner place for 10 people after a show day at the convention center. Would definitely recommend.
This was our first visit and we how to have the opportunity to go back. We both had the shrimp and grits and it was excellent. The live band we great and they offered seating on how loud you liked the music. Definitely worth the stop when in NOLA!
Beer is very good, the food was excellent! Fantastic BLT and a killer chocolate dessert!
Love this place. This is one of my go-to spots in New Orleans and I've never been disappointed. The food consistently tastes great. I got the shrimp & grits this trip & it was perfect. The creme brûlée for dessert finished off the great meal!
