Always a tried and true lunch spot. Seaweed salad was an excellent starter - loved the picklely soy dressing. The Pink Panther roll was interesting, but not a favorite - just a taste thing. And the Unagi was delicious - I could eat 10 sashimi eel pieces! The Mint Julep - the monthly specialty cocktail was booze forward but well mixed and presented. Our server was present but not obtrusive. So a very enjoyable lunch meeting was had by all.

Crave was an excellent place for a luncheon celebration for work colleagues. The server was efficient and decisive in recommendations from the menu. The bar brought back a favorite martini for one party member -- a filthy martini with fried prosciutto on a cocktail stick. Another party member tried and enjoyed their smoked Manhattan while everyone at the table inhaled the trapped flavorful smoke. The food was expertly prepared and perfectly timed for serving after eating appetizers and soups.

While the food was very good, we had very slow and poor service on this occasion. My wife didn’t get her drink until after the food arrived, on Mother’s Day no less, as it took 25 minutes for them to tell us they were out of the first beer she ordered. Then they charged us for both the one we got and the one we didn’t. When we were finished, it was another nearly half hour before we got our check. Add in the profit-grabbing surcharge, and a meal with good food became a less than satisfying experience.

We had a wonderful 5 course Easter Brunch at Crave, Sunday, 04-09-23 for 4 people. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, and the food was exceptional. Our server was very attentive and took care of all of our needs. I would highly recommend Crave-West End. We will be back.

As a self-proclaimed restaurant snob, I tend to turn my nose up when I hear a restaurant is a chain. Such was the case with Crave. If you are like me (value dining at local, single-establishment restaurants), don't skip out on Crave just because it's a chain. We went with a group of 5. Had a reservation for 7pm, but arrived 20 minutes early & were able to be seated right away, even though the restaurant was busy & full. The menu is a bit overwhelming with many pages (think Cheesecake Factory edited down). Started with cocktails & everyone enjoyed theirs. I will say the Blackberry Mule was tasty, but the ginger beer seemed flat. Had the Raspberry Ginger Gimlet as well, and it was very tasty, if you are ok with something a little on the sweet side - the taste of the basil in the drink was delicious! Ordered 3 apps - the Crispy Brussels Sprouts (my favorite, by far - order these!), the Bamboo Bite Roll (also pretty good) and the Lettuce Wraps. The Lettuce Wraps were my least favorite, but the favorite of some at our table. The filling had large pieces of chicken - presentation was great, but it was something about the flavor for me. Everyone was very happy with their meals. The portion sizes were huge. No one came close to finishing their meal. I had the Salmon Piccata - it was cooked perfectly, and the linguini/lemon butter/caper setup was so good. If I lived in the MSP area, this would definitely be in my comfort food rotation! Other notable dishes at our table were the Steak Frites - very generous portion of steak & fries -my friend said it was fantastic, even though it looked like she barely put a dent in it! The Red Quinoa & Grilled Salmon looked great too. We finished with mini desserts which were perfect for our already full bellies that just wanted a taste of sweetness. Service was great - she even brought us extra cocktails at no charge due to a mix-up at the bar. Overall I would definitely recommend & return to Crave. Great for groups & caters to many diets!

The manager came over and personally told me they would take care of the entire bill, only for me to be told by my server I was still paying for half of our bill. Such terrible communication. Got together w one other person. Lobster bisque was eh at best (no chunks of lobster, $14.99 though soups list at $7.99) - would never order it again. Oily. Sushi was fine and calamari was good. Service was great. $80 plus for 2 people.
