Craftsteak - MGM Grand
We have eaten a Craftsteak before but always with large groups. This my first time attending for a date night.
Husband and I had the Chefs Beef Selection. There was so much food! Loved the mozzarella salad. Loved the butternut squash. I am not a huge beef lover but Hubby is and he really enjoyed his cuts. Desserts were fabulous. Coconut ice cream was very refreshing after a big meal.
Our server was awesome. Our booth was great. I love that it is fancy for a night out but casual enough to be comfortable. If I had one complaint, it would be the photos. They were expensive and a bit cheesy. I couldn’t stop laughing at the poses.
Overall it was a fabulous experience and we will be back again.
First Rate in every aspect of overall Fine Dining Experiences.
Our service team was incredible. We tried the tasting menu and we were blown away. The steak was the best we ever had. There was way too much food! Highlights were the domestic wagyu filet, the domestic wagyu strip steak, the lobster, and monkey bread, and the crane brûlée. It was an expensive meal, but definitely a treat if you’re celebrating a special occasion or winnings in the casino.
Overpriced steaks and wine, ask for a table in the main dining room, we were seated in the bar area, people continuously walking by watching you eat
Our bill was 275$ for 2 people, definitely expensive and not the best steak for the 60$ and up price
Wonderful dinner and atmosphere! The braised short ribs were amazing!
Joe is the best table lead ever! Every steak is unique and different.
This is a go to place for us in Vegas! I bring clients here and my wife and I eat here too. Best steak house and service.
Great food as always! Service is exceptional
Tasting menu at Craftsteak is amazing, but come with a very empty stomach as there is soooo much food. Apps, salads, steaks, sides, desserts, oh and those rolls (so yummy). Highly recommend it. Third time dining here and still love it. Sharon on the waitstaff is a delight, as are all the servers I’ve interacted with.
Food & service was outstanding as usual. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Will be back in 2030!
Great food, great ambience. Be ready for a really big check!
The service was great, but I was disappointed in the food. When you are paying that much for food, you want it to be amazing...and it was ok. I also didn’t love how noisy it was in the restaurant.
We did the chef selection menu and highly recommend it. The service was warm and professional and the meal was memorable.
Service was great. Unfortunately the food is very overpriced and the ribeye steak I ordered was overdone.
Great service . Before Eagles concert waiter was very accommodating at getting order out quickly.
Always great mushrooms at CS.
Top notch service and food. Everyone was very friendly, the main course was somewhat delayed but we were having a nice relaxing time and did not mind.
I viewed the dining experience at Craftsteak as average. We had dinner there just before an Eagles concert with friends who we’re celebrating their 33rd wedding anniversary. I hand printed the details about their anniversary on a business card and gave it to the maitre d’ when we checked in for dinner. No mention from any staff to the celebrating couple who regularly watches Tom Calicchio on tv. Additionally our waiter was without personality. He took our order and never returned to see how our dinners were. A truly uninspiring and average dining experience. We were at another steakhouse the following evening before another headline concert and had a great experience with a waiter who knew how to converse and made the dining experience memorable.
This is my favorite place to dine in Vegas. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. Thanks for exceeding our expectations once again
Had high hopes for Craftsteak, but it failed to deliver. Decor is nice, we were seated right away in a crowded dining room. Service was good to start, but tailed off towards the end. We shared a surf and turf with Wagu Filet ($100 ala carte), but the steak was tough -- looked like an end cut from the bargain bin at the local grocery store. Wine list is long, but don't look for anything under $100 a bottle, many much higher. At those prices, they should have more $100 wine options. Service slowed and we ended up waiting for our main course, and were a bit rushed to make the show. Overall, it was OK, but I will definitely try somewhere else next time.
Fifth time there. Still haven’t been disappointed!!
Older restaurant could use updating. Excellent steaks. Seafood towers made to order. Wine seemed reasonably priced compared to other venues. We had several bottles of Caymus cab at a fair price.
Large Vegas restaurant, awesome steaks cooked to perfection, not impressed with starters or sides at all. None could match the steaks. I love mushrooms but all agreed the $28 mixed mushroom was just okay. The wine was not at the right temp either.
Perfect business dinner. Food and service were exceptional.
Excellent if somewhat over priced. Enjoyed our meal. Fantastic wine list.
The service was great...at first. After we received our food there was no more service. My bosses steak was dry and over cooked. My other bosses beer was terrible and he couldn’t drink it. No one ever came and asked about the beer it out food. Too pricy for the quality. You are only paying for the brand.
Overpriced and made all of us sick after. The food was at best, ok but for that price point we were expecting something excellent. Even the Wagyu was mediocre. The best meal at our table was probably the short ribs. The grass fed rib eye wasn't good. We enjoyed the frisee salad and the pureed potatoes but the mushrooms were left mostly untouched because they were flavorless. The only thing that exceeded our expectations was the service. Our servers gave us great drink suggestions and made sure our glasses were always filled. They even gave us a birthday dessert based on the notes in my reservation. They were very attentive.
The food was amazing and the service was great.
We had a great dinner at CraftSteak. They asked right away if we had tickets to a show, which we did, so they tailored our dinner towards that. 2 of us had the bone-in ribeye and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. The short ribs were also excellent and a really large portion. For sides we had the mushroom sampler and the broccoli. The mushrooms were pricey but very good, although one of them we did not really like. Overall, highly recommended if you want a great steak!
I had the best lobster ever; it was the most tender, tasty and best cooked lobster I have ever had, and I have had a lot of lobster!
Our Waiter Joe was outstanding. We let him plan our meal and everything turned out awesome.
Pricey but very good!
Would definitely come back.
One of the best steak I have ever been served!
Awesome food, great atmosphere and impeccable service!!
Craft just feels the same as the first time I went there years ago. The food is top notch, however a decor and layout update would serve the place well
Was excited to eat here, being a fan of the chef/owner, but it ended up being the wrong choice for the evening I had planned. Maybe OK for a semi-casual group of guys after a day at the Sportsbook, but I had planned a dress-up kind of date and it was way wrong. Service was slow, atmosphere was loud, and the music was a loud, heavy mix of ACDC and other classic rock tunes. The steaks were really good and I liked the presentation of the food - but if this was a restaurant contestant on Top Chef, Tom would've rated it poorly.
Food is great and service is second to none. Our favorite stop when traveling home from work through Vegas.
Celebrating a big win
What a wonderful dining experience we had! Wow, everything was yummy, the service was amazing, and the ambiance was unforgettable as well. We had a memorable dinner 😍
Best meal I’ve ever had! The service was amazing and the food was delicious
We did the chefs Beef tasting menu and were happy we did. We both left very full. Best steak we’ve had hands down. The service was great.
The only thing a found a bit cheesy was the person going around taking photos at the tables to try to sell. I get it’s Vegas so it’s a tourist town, but I wasn’t a fan of that in a nice restaurant.
