Craftsteak - MGM Grand
While this famous steakhouse offers mainstays like Kobe beef, specialties also include veal, salmon, lobster, and farmer's market vegetables.
Everything was wonderful... from the atmosphere, to the staff, to the food! Glad I made this choice for my husband’s 39th bday!
Hands down the best dining experience I’ve ever had. From the food to the service everything was impeccable. They’ve really nailed the team service system. Management was incredibly welcoming and professional. They really went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience for my boyfriends birthday.
Everything from the service to the food was 5 stars! We had four gentlemen taking care of our table and they took amazing care of us! The steaks were amazing!
Steak was quite fibrous even for a ribeye
quite possibly the best meal you will ever have in your life.
Awesome food and our waitress was excellent. Not much that wasn’t perfect
Skip the domestic waygu steak. My medium rare ribeye had minimal marbling, was lean and not tender, and tasted like a bland sirloin from a generic cheap restaurant. If it was aged, it tasted like it was overnight. I think the cow must have been on a weight loss program with HIIT aerobic exercise! It was a very expensive disappointment. My wife's non-waygu steak was OK, but nothing notable. The salads, most sides & desserts were good but way overpriced and not particularly unique or memorable. The most memorable side dish was the grits, which I do remember fondly. The cheese, prosciutto & smokey flavor were a compelling & delicious combination. Service was superb. The staff know and use your name repeatedly and are quite attentive and helpful. They also gave us a free dessert since I wasn't impressed with my steak. Setting was OK but quite loud with various groups being rather exuberant. It is Las Vegas, so this is to be expected. The cost for two with glass of wine each was over $300. I was eagerly anticipating this meal, making reservations a month ahead, but the excellent service doesn't compensate for the sad, disappointing, domestic waygu steak and stratospheric prices. Maybe your experience will be different, but we won't be back.
we had a dinner of 3 People. 2 hanger steaks and Skirt steak little over Priced, but it is Vegas!
Food is always beyond delicious
Went with the chefs choice surf and turf with my husband. Wow! Such a great way to have a taste of multi menu items and so much food, we couldn't finish. Highly recommended!!!
This was my second time at craft steak. I’ve been indulging into fine dining ever since a kid. Gibson’s steakhouse in Chicago. Gibson’s will always have my heart in fine dining, but damn, Craftsteak’s Waygu is absolutely mouth watering. It melts in your mouth! The fingerling potatoes are to die for!! The key lime martini was out of this world tasty! I will definitely eat back time after time. STK in Vegas use to be my go to, not anymore! It’s craftsteak!
I've been twice before and the service was awesome. Not sure if it's the economy or what, but the service was terrible.
We have been eating a Craft for over 5 years and made it a staple for any trip to Las Vegas. This time though the steak was sub-par for the price. They need to make some changes to their cook if we want to go back.
Food was good and cocktails were amazing. Service was lacklustre - no one asked how our meal was after it arrived. Didn’t see a waiter or anyone until desert time. Ambiance was great quiet enough to converse. Have been here twice now - first time service was better.
First time dining here. Everything was great. Server Blue and his partner were spot on. Very attentive. Made sure we were taken care of but still let us enjoy ourselves. The steak tartare was great. Caesar salad was a regular salad but good flavor. I had the bone in ribeye and my wife had the filet mignon. Both cooked perfectly. So much flavor. The potato puree and grits were great. Recommend the half portions like we had. Full would’ve been way too much. We had the monkey bread and banana foster for dessert. Monkey bread was good but the banana foster was awesome! Highly recommend trying Craftsteak if you are looking for an awesome experience.
The food was outstanding. Unfortunately the service was mediocre. Not what anyone should expect for a restaurant of that caliber. Our lead waiter seemed disinterested at best. Disappointing.
Worth every penny!!! Best surf and turf I've ever had. Great customer service! Dine In for my son's 21st bday and he loved every bit of it. The sides and dessert were great!! I will definitely revisit during my next trip to MGM Grand.
My family and I have dined at Craftsteak many times. We look forward to going back every time! The service is excellent, the music played in the restaurant is enjoyable and the food is the absolute best! The steaks are amazing and the free range chicken is delicious. I highly recommend Craftsteak!
Over priced and poor service
A fantastic birthday dinner that we will never forget! Highly recommend!!
A wonderful experience and meal! Service was impeccable, from the host introduction, through all servers and bartenders mixing cocktails in the background. We had such a relaxing meal and our server was completely knowledgeable in the full menu as expected. Ambiance is decadent and did not dissapoint. The Key Lime martini was so flavorful and the bartenders know how to mix an Old Fashioned. My wife and I each had the 10oz fillet. She had it medium and mine was spot on med-rare. It was beautifully charred, well balanced with the butter baste and roasted to complete perfection... succulent, juicy, tender. The broccoli had a perfect touch of red pepper and wasn't swimming in garlic. Potato puree was some of the best potatoes we have ever had! Each one side was more than enough for me and my wife, so, a great value. I followed prior reviews on the monkey bread for dessert and had a tough time deciding which was better, the rich, carmel nutty, monkey bread or the compliment of banana ice cream. I had a table side French press coffee and dinner was just perfect! We WILL be back! Thank you again for a fantastic evening.
Amazing food we come here every time we go to Vegas, the steaks and drinks will keep you coming back and the customer service and staff is 5 stars
The service and ambiance were very good. Everything from The Rollings Stones to Prince played as background music. We had 2-3 people waiting on us at all times. The disappointment was the food. The domestic Wagyu filet I had wasn't probably cooked. My son's filet mignon was over cooked. The lobster bisque was very average. Nothing special about the sides either. Reading previous reviews, we expected the food to be a lot better. Unfortunately, we won't be returning any time soon.
We went here for a double date before the Cher concert. The food was exceptional as was the service. I ordered the sea bass (which was beyond perfection) and the 3 others ordered steaks, which they all enjoyed. Our waiter was Marvin and he went above and beyond to take care of us and to make sure he got my friend and I out on time to the concert. We all would definitely dine here again
Daughters 21st bday
Food was phenomenal. Had the charcuterie platter, one of their aged fillet mignons, sunchokes, and asparagus. Everything was incredible. Very expensive. We also had some booze, so that didn’t help. Wonderful meal, but at that price point, I’ll eat here about as often as I’m in Las Vegas - maybe once every couple years at most. But for sure, I would recommend it and I will go again.
Incredibly consistent excellence. This meal was at the bar and the bartender was very professional and helpful. From the bread through the surf and turf, food is executed perfectly. Wine list is well rounded from many regions.
Overall a nice experience
Craftsteak has changed significantly through the years and not for the better. I frequented Las Vegas in the mid/late 2000s for business and considered this restaurant a staple in my trip. I raved to friends and family; Craftsteak is a must in your respective visits, particularly the lobster bisque. Well, times change and those days are gone. We will not likely be back, not because of a particular
It took about 40 min for us to get our food and they forgot our appetizer. The food was great though once it came!
Caesar salad was not up to the standard of a fine restaurant and certainly the price. Lettuce was crisp and trimmed properly. The salad was under dressed and under cheesed. Overall, very little taste. Although the anchovies were very good. Steaks were perfect, fries were excellent, brocolini was good, but the garlic confit was not properly prepared. It was simply sautéed and not confit as advertised. We were ape for the monkey bread dessert! We had a roja reserve which was very good and well priced. Considering the price point, we would reconsider eating here again. The portions were too large for two people.
Peter was very welcoming and helpful in making our wagyu steak experience phenomenal
Been a few years ago and remember steak being great. Revisited while in town for conference and was disappointed with steak this time around. Quite expensive given disappointing quality.
Overall the meal was very good, but very expensive. I was surprised that they cut up the steak, and put some kind of burgundy sauce on it. The seasoning on the meat needed some help. They upsold us on the 3 course meal, and it was a LOT of food. 4 appetizers, 3 sides, 4 deserts for 2 people. Probably would not do that again.
The service team for table #107 on March 10th was amazing. True professionals. When I was about to make a request, the team was already anticipating each and every one of our needs. I wish I could have taken just as good of care of this team as they did for my fiancée and I. Their performance should be recognized for being amazing (not that all of my... 10? previous times dining here haven’t been phenomenal). I will always choose Craftsteak when I want to spoil my family and I. Thank you all!
Cocktails were creative and quality. Filet was roasted perfectly. Butternut squash was surprisingly my favorite of the 3 sides we had. Broccolini was fair/uneventful. The bread was worth the overindulgence. The 3 of us sat at a table for 4...2 chairs on one side and booth seating - not my favorite arrangement and difficult to carry a conversation across the larger table. Next time I would ask for a conventional table or U shaped booth. The lighting was intimate but the music was odd, 50s if I remember correctly.
Atmosphere and staff were great! The food was very average. They talked us into the family style meal at $130 per person because everything was a la carte and super pricey! Overall quality was okay but definately not worth the price.
We ordered the dinner that they selected elements. Everything was fantastic.
We made a 10 pm reservation and when we arrived the staff was rude. They told us they were closing in 30 minutes and was had to order immediately. We were extremely disappointed in the service. The food was just ok and the staff rushed us out by making it very clear they wanted to close and go home.
Let Chef set the menu...superb choices perfectly prepared. Wait staff shined throughout
