We came for my husbands birthday (his pick) and decided to come a little early for their happy hour. We ordered the Brussel sprouts and spicy poke on their HH menu. We also had a few great cocktails. The Brussel sprouts are outstanding!! Best we’ve ever had. Tuna poke also very good and portions for both are much larger than you would expect for HH. We needed up sharing the pork chop which was also veer tasty but we really were full from the appetizers so we could have skipped the entree all together. We will definitely be back especially for HH.
Sea bass was sublime
We sat in the back patio. The food was excellent. However the ambiance was very lacking , no plants no charm . I had said it was a birthday celebration and felt that had not been noted. We lingered a bit after others had left the patio and the heaters were turned off . I would recommend the chef but the restaurant needs charm.
Great place to hang out with friends who carry on a lot. The waiter and the service was outstanding. And the food was unique and excellent.
Craft House has a cool vibe, great food, drinks, and service.
Food and drinks were awesome! Wait staff is attentive and very good at what they do. one of our new faves!
We sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly and sociable and took our orders quickly. We got our food fast and he always made sure we were good on drinks.
Delicious food & great service! Loved the nay nay cocktail!
Chingon I had a blast a Rebecca was awesome
Valentine’s Day
Me and my beautiful Single lady girl friends had a wonderful time. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive and funny 😆!
The atmosphere was very welcoming.
We had a reservation but still had to wait 30 minutes for table. Both the appetizer and entrée that were our first choice were "sold out" even though it was early in the evening. Server was young and not helpful.
Our previous dinners there were great but would not recommend now that they added extra seating...seem to have bit off more than they can handle
We love Craft House! We have been regulars since they opened and are never disappointed. So much so that we visit for special occasions like birthdays and Valentine’s Day. The drinks are amazing, food is incredible and we love the ambiance. Chef Blake’s menu is always on point, especially the weekly specials! This was our first visit since I found out that I am expecting, so Nate made me a delicious mocktail and it hit the spot. :) Always a 10/10!
Nice Valentine’s Day dinner- attentive staff, tasty food and drinks. Will be back!
The Cauliflower appetizer is a MUST. If you blindfolded your kids or ANYONE who thinks they hate cauliflower, you would see them being converted because it us the best veggie app on earth. Order 2 if you have 4 or more ppl as you will want more... trust me.
Scallops are perfection.
Waiter was not very cheery or keen to check on us often ( would have doubled our drink order if he came around consistently) , but the hostess is adorable and met our table request with a smile.
We went out for my birthday/ Valentine’s Day and we don’t eat out often. We were seated in the corner of the patio surrounded by plastic walls through which we could see the pipes, hose spout and electrical box. That was our view. Felt like we were eating in a very awkward corner of our backyard. Definitely not the special occasion feel we were looking for.
Everybody is happy with Their meals, the meatloaf , chicken sandwich And scallops.
I love hanging out in the bar inside but our last meal was outside tables very far apart and they made the best of the situation.
Usually pretty good. But not this Saturday night. They changed their menu, and some of the descriptions were not really adequate. They were out of several items, and one meal had to be returned because so spicy (shrimp dish) it was inedible.. The fried chicken was overdone, the bun soggy and the plate of food appeared to have been sitting for awhile. The scallops dish was pretty salty. The service was very slow and a bit chaotic, seemed to be off their game this night. Not overly crowded either.
This place was awesome! Our friends got married and we came here because they couldn’t have a real reception. The food was awesome and so were the drinks. The butter cake and their old fashioneds were great, but the highlight was that everyone did so much to help make their day even more special.
Great experience. Food was super tasty and the waiter was very nice. Appetizer took awhile to come out but they comped it. Was well worth it, it was amazing, get the cauliflower. I got the fish special and my wife got the Thai coconut soup. Both were great! The ambience was not great but come on, it’s Covid, they are doing their best.
Over all the food and service was great and we would definitely go back there again.
Unfortunately wasn’t impressed with the food. It felt a little like bar food versus a dining experience. We did get a few happy hour items. They were not very exciting. Brussel sprouts were drenched in oil and Irish nachos were just French fries with a little cheese snd sour cream. Definitely did not look like what you see on the website. However....on a positive note the cocktails were great and so were the prices. If you just want a casual happy hour with top shelf drinks and some easy eats this is a good place.
We love CraftHouse! We had the meatloaf, spicy tuna "chips" and baby wedge w/ shrimp. I"ve yet to find a dish here that isn't amazing. Can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Fresh fish is always tremendous, as well.
Service very slow & Covid protocol too relaxed.
Considering Covid and dinning in a huge tent, everything was great except one of the courses, was not very hot. The desests were just ok compared to the other course. Kate, our waitress was wonderful even considering how many tables she was serving.
It took 55 minutes to receive our appetizer, the surrounding tables that arrived after us had received their food before us. They kept sending our order to other tables (repeatedly...). The servers failed to check in often enough. The food was bland and oily. The outdoor seating area is completely enclosed and non-compliant with current COVID restrictions in California.
Had a great night. Our waitress was super sweet and friendly. Everything was delicious and came out at all the right times. They have turned their patio into a fun place.
Although my favorite thing on the old menu was the crispy rice with spice tuna, the cauliflower appetizer is my new go to... so so delicious you won’t want to share! My husband really enjoys the comfort of the pot pie, great classic. They’ve done a great job with their tent and seating, socially distanced of course!
Great service! Great location, GOOD DRINKS nice atmosphere
Great food, better service.
Its hard to knock a place these days about the ambiance but these guys do a pretty good job. The food was good. Our server was good but he was stretched a little thin so it was a little slow-- but I would go back!
Great. We dine here all the time but the prime rib bone with the best ever potato salad we have ever tasted and Cole slaw was my favorite!
They have a great cocktail list and some fun takes on Old Fashioned's. Their food is always excellent, never had anything we didn't like. Definitely try the dirty fries!
It was a solid place for dinner and drinks !!! Give it a try!
Got right in. Good service and great hamburgers!!
One of our favorite spots! Consistently great all around.
Service, food and drinks were excellent!
Great food and super service! Love Craft House!!
Always great, the drinks and the food never dissapoint.
New Year’s Eve
Nothing on the table disappointed! Anything you read here, PLEASE feel free to order, because it was deliciously crazy! For appies, we had Mac N Cheese (rich and creamy) and light but crispy Calamari (both I could have eaten by myself). My wife had the Shredded Beef Stroganoff filled with tender beef amid a creamy bed of thick cut noodles. Our friends ordered The Seared Scallops (which we have both had before too), served over a risotto. It looked absolutely fabulous. MyBuddy had the Crispy Chicken sandwich (again,.... a friggen winner) that is huge! The crispy chicken dwarfs the size of the bun. Served with an Asian Thai sauce and fries (really one of the best sandwiches in Dana Point). Then saving theist for last, I ordered the Hanger Steak! Served medium rare on a pillow of flavorful mashed potatoes, roasted baby corn and asparagus. This dish will blow your hair back!
