Spicy Cajun Chicken Pasta
Tender boneless chicken breast, bell pepper, green onion sauteed with our homemade Cajun sauce over pasta. Topped with grated Parmesan.
Service was good! Food came out fast!
However, we were told as soon as we sat down that they now charge a 18% charge of the total bill and that pushed our bill way up. Much more than we are used to paying there.
Probably start looking somewhere else to enjoy seafood.
I took a friend visiting from Texas because they loved crab-legs so much. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The food was great and it was so much that we could not eat it all. The sampler appetizer was so much; but everything on it tasted great. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was my first visit to the downtown location and I am looking forward to going again.
Love it! The best place
M-E-S-S-Y! No forks at the table. Wasn’t expecting to have to use my fingers to eat everything.
Delicious crab poppers- definitely reasonably priced. Our reservation was marked as special occasion and we were never asked what the occasion was- crab cakes were also not so great
Only draw back was the saucy was spicy even though we chose mild! The service was EXCELLENT
Delicious food at reasonable prices. I had the sampler boat as my meal and couldn’t finish it! It was so good! Gumbo was not authentic New Orleans but the fried okra was spot on.
Food was great, definitely a great dining experience.
Food was amazing! The crabs are beyond! Service was great! I forgot to ask the server’s name but she was so nice and very accommodating! Will come back again when I come back to San Diego!
Highly recommend coming here! The food was great. My family and i (4 people) got the bucket and some rice and wow that got us very stuffed! Kinda on the pricey side so i recommend going with some friends or family to share the big meal with!
We requested to treat a make-a-wish family to dinner anonymously and the manager split the check with us with the utmost discretion.
THE entire experience was great. I enjoyed being Down Town in the city on a week night. I had the best server a guest could ask for. It was my first time at Crab Hut and my server made a lasting impression. Suggesting things on the menu and offering advice on parking in the down town area. I enjoyed my experience and i will be back again.
My favorite place for a seafood boil, always amazing better than the other places I have tried.
In town from Seattle: we drove the whole way. Went for crab legs for my wife. She loves them. It was creole style, which was great for spices. I just didn’t prefer the multitude of crawfish in most of the dishes. I hadn’t ever had crab and we tried both snow and king and it was good. I got salmon and asparagus and that was pretty amazing. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I wanted (Fish and Chips). They were out of their Cajun style fries and the only option for a sub was okra and sweet potato fries. Both of which I don’t enjoy so much.
However, if you love Cajun spice (I do) and varied seafood options different from the norm, this place is for you.
Everything was amazing, from the food to the server!!
We were in San Diego for a fun trip with my husband. The food was ok.....definitely messy. I don’t think I would go back. The bucket is brought to you in a plastic bag and you are given gloves to wear. Pretty gross. Lol. Food was ok. I didn’t love the seasoning I chose.
Food and service were okay. Kinda messy, but fun.
Outstanding food, really spicy even when requesting medium so beware! LOL
Great experience and delicious food!
Best crab pot place! Always come here when visiting San Diego
All of the seafood we ordered were fresh and delicious.
The inside was neat and the staff is all kind. We all enjoyed it so much. If we go to San Diego, we would like to visit again.
Great food I notice the prize was higher and the seabucket had less shrimp... maybe it was a new cook. I hope it gets better next time? Thank you.
Imitation calamari and no Dungeness crabs not enough snow crabs for the price..Food is priced high not good quality..no parking down town
I love crab hut go a country le times a month
Usually the snow crab is quite big this was the first time it was NOT. Figure 11/2 pound a person. They are improving on their bread too, but I still think they could date a half of loaf of French bread for the price like Fisherman warf serves French bread. With Crab you need yummy bread please
Restorant is below expectation. Oysters were good but lobster was spicy irrespectevely of my request.
Forks for lobster are plastic!
Got the gumbo and it was pretty mediocre, 1/2 shrimp is always a winner! Overpriced appetizers but really good taste (not the gumbo)
We are visiting and really wanted seafood and it was delicious!
The pictures do not do this place justice! My family and I were looking for a spot with yummy food and this place did not disappoint! Food was excellent and so satisfying. A few of us got the "boil-style" buckets. They were a nicely portioned and having the option to choose different seasonings was great. Their cajun pasta was delicious as well, I chose to get shrimp instead of chicken! We loved everything about this dining experience. We are not from the area, so it was a nice find on Open Table.
Great as always! The food is definitely worth the price and we always have a great time.
Food and service are great every time I go to San Diego I make sure to eat there
Fantastic food! Excellent environment! Spectacular service! Recommended to all seafood lovers!
I have to say this place wasn't great at all. The decor was cool and it looked great, however the food vs price ratio was off par, that includes quality, taste, and even presentation. I mean they deliver your entre in a plastic bag, wtf is that all about. Extremely messy and difficult to enjoy your meal. Super expensive and not worth it. But staff is nice and they have an ok happy hour.
The food was delicious. The staff and service was really good. The restaurant itself was dirty... all the wall hangings (fish, pictures bathroom door hinges, etc) all had disgusting layer of a gooey greasy dust.
The food was excellent especially given the Louisiana type seasoning! Service was outstanding and fast. If you enjoy Cajun seasoned shellfish, this is a place that you must go to!
Decor and ambiance are minimal, but the food was fabulous and it was very easy to carry on a conversation despite being completely full.
Service was poor. Didn’t get my drinks maybe 20 mins after seating down. No waiter come to introduce their self. Won’t be coming back to this location.
Very bad quality and after taste. The shrimp was clearly not fresh as well.
Food was excellent
Crabs are amazing!
