Host told me they didn't do reservations even though I had reserved a table for 14 people a month in advance. Doesn't matter though because we were able to sit down and order our food without any issues. It was a bachelor party and we were pretty loud so the 3 older women next to us made some comments under their breath as we were leaving. I didn't respond but all I could think of was, "You know you're on Bourbon Street in New Orleans right? Not exactly a place to eat dinner if you're looking for somewhere quiet." Anyways the food was great and the service was good. Everyone liked it.

We went here for an early dinner. Place was not crowed. We were seated immediately and waited on rather quickly. Recommendations were made, but we all ordered what we wanted. Crab cake and garlic shrimp weregood. Shrimp was huge n tasty, but the menu did not say you had to peel them. It was work, but good flavor. NY strip was good, as was pan seared chicken n pasta. Strip done perfectly.

In town for Jazzfest, our party of 6 enjoyed a delicious dinner at Cornet before heading across the street to hear the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Our waitress was very patient with our many questions about the regional selections on the menu and very efficient in serving our meals in a timely manner. We all concurred that the dinner was one of the highlights of our NOLA culinary adventure & we would highly recommend Cornet to others. Hope to return.

My boyfriend and I recently went to Cornet to celebrate my birthday as well as our anniversary. When we booked the reservation, we mentioned the reason for why we were celebrating. Thinking nothing of our comment, we came to the restaurant and were surprised that we were greeted extremely warmly and congratulated on our anniversary. We were thrilled! The staff then led us to "the best seat in the house" and offered us two glasses of free champagne. To top it off, the manager came over and spoke with us to make sure we were having a great dinner. The food was the perfect blend of Cajun and traditional, the staff was extremely welcoming, and we had the best time! I highly suggest coming here!

We went here worth the hopes of being able to sit on the balcony for dinner and heart the jazz from across the street, there is so much other noise it all gets drowned out. The balcony is sagging so much it feels like you're going to fall into the street while you eat. The food is mediocre and the prices do not reflect the food quality. We only stayed for soup and appetizer. Service was also sub par and no one seemed to care at all. It looks much better from the outside, skip it if you can.

Pretty loud since it's on bourbon street. They serve their drinks in plastic and the drinks don't taste like they have much alcohol in them. The food is a little pricey (normal for French Quarter), but suprisingly good. The etouffee was better than royal house in my opinion.

It's down to me to make arrangements for lunch for 12 from out of town. I found Cornet on my Open Table app, read the reviews, and gave it a shot. I was in accurate on my count, and half of us were 20 minutes late, but the wait staff were not fazed. They handled the situation with grace and got the on-time guests drinks, while the rest of us filtered in. The food was excellent, the serves were polite, but familiar enough to make our meal fun and homey. When I'm in NOLA, I'll definitely go back.

Not worth it. Service was terrible during our visit. It took a long time for our part of four to order anything to begin with. After that, we were never asked if we wanted to order more drinks (which we did), nor did anyone come to check on us once our food was served. One in our party ordered the shrimp creole--- $16. It came with exactly two small shrimp in a red sauce with about 2/3 cup worth of rice. That's not anything close to a standard dinner portion size. When we finally got our waiter's attention again to ask about it when we had finished our meals, he said that "it's just in a bag, man, I dunno." "Well, could we speak to a manager?" "That will take about half an hour." Um, what? By that point we were cold and ready to move on, so we asked for our checks to go. He then messed up the way he charged us and basically tried to take the $30 in cash toward the bill as a tip. Honestly for service we experienced, I wouldn't even be likely to leave $3, let alone $30. When asked to correct it, he said he couldn't void the transaction and refund our money on our card, and he tossed us the $30 in cash on the table. Basically a disaster all around. The food wasn't memorable outside of how skimpy the portion sizes were, and for the service you have to deal with--- not worth it.
