   My date and I sat outside. The patio seating was nice at first. We sat in the booths. We could hardly read the menus because it was so dark out. We asked to have the light above the booth turned on and we were told that it wasn't working. A few of the other booths had lights, I guess we got unlucky. Midway through dinner I asked if we could get a candle and the server brought us a few tea lights, which made things better. Service was slow and it took quite awhile to be greeted. The food was just ok. For starters we spilt a flat bread. I had the vegetarian lasagna and my date had the ribs. Both were underwhelming. While we were eating we both commented on how it was odd that there was no music playing on the outside patio. There we clearly speakers set up, but no music. Just felt a little odd. When I am paying over $100 for diner I just expect the little details to be thought of. I don't know if I would rush back to this place, but I would consider trying it out again in a few months.

   I have been hearing about the CT for a couple for a couple of years now... My husband and I took our 14 year old daughter out for a special dinner at Corner Table with high expectations. My husband order the enchiladas, which he liked, but were nothing special. My daughter ordered the Churrasco , which the waiter said was tenderloin. I truly believe it was skirt steak. If it actually was tenderloin, it was extremely tough. I ordered the Paleo Paella. It was good, but no even close to Paella. The generous piece of Amber Jack crowing the dish was dry, but the 3 Diver scallops that accompanied were divine (and saved the dish). The broth was delicious. All in all, I expected much more from this well talked about restaurant. I do not think we will be back.

   SERVICE: VERY WEAK. When we arrived, it was fairly early. Many tables were empty. We were seated and after waiting a while we ordered a cocktail and a soft drink. After sometime, the cocktail arrived but soft drink was missing. After a few minutes, We flagged the waitress to inquire about my beverage. (This was a pattern for the night) We started with Oysters Virgina. They were good, 3 fried oysters on the halfshell with some crab and caviar. For entre we had paleo spaghetti bolognese and chicken Marsala. We waited and waited. There appeared to be a party in a room across the way and our server seemed to be minding those guests as well as several other tables. About 30 minutes (or more), our food arrived. They cautioned the plates were hot when placing our meals before us. That was a severe exaggeration as my food was ice cold. I asked a server about this and they whisked the plate away. They also took my partners as he felt uncomfortable eating while I had nothing. Very quickly the replacement food arrived. Service was still very spotty after this. Nothing was really said about the cold food or the extended wait time. FOOD: nothIng noteworthy, especially for the prices. Presentation/plating was very good however. Entres range in price from $17-$40 Oysters were good but nothing exceptional. Best part of meal Cocktail--we had a strawberry, basil, vodka, and champagne cocktail that was very good Spaghetti Bolognese---4 nice sized paleo turkey meatballs atop of spaghetti squash with a non-traditional Bolognese sauce. Sauce had an unusual spice profile Chicken Marsala--ok Key Lime Cheesecake---I'm gluten free and asked what desserts were available. Ordered this as I love key lime pie. Strange consistency of the filling. Not smooth, very strong coconut flavor With the plethora of good Houston restaurants, competition is fierce. A kitchen can be "off" at any time but good service should always prevail. Not compelled to return

   Bruce Molzan's absence is SO very noticeable! Restaurant almost empty at 7pm on a recent Saturday night. Food VERY VERY average. Service great though. All in all, Bruce Molzan's departure was a huge loss for the restaurant. We won't go back again!

   VERY disappointed. We hadn't been to Corner Table in a while and I was looking forward to it. We had no idea that they totally changed the menu. Everything was very mediocre compared to before and very expensive. We will not be back.

   Great food and great service. Very nice to have an option in Houston that creates food for Paleo that is really good!

   I went to restaurant because look in Google for Paleo food and this restaurant came, it does not have much variety of Paleo food, but what little they had was too expensive. I also wanted to surprise someone birthday and they not even told the waiter I had taken the cake, and in the end it was not as pleasurable as I thought.

    The server failed miserably. She seemed a little too confident in her abilities. We asked for the wine list and she took it away after we ordered cocktails and never asked us about wine again. We ended up ordering two glasses each and still came out cheaper than buying a bottle. The appetizer was very skimpy and overcooked, 4 lamb lollipops was really about 3oz of meat. One of them was so small the server actually tried to take the plate away because she thought it was a bone we had discarded. What kind of place doesn't offer an entry level or even medium priced bottle of cabernet? Their cheapest cab is $98.00. The entree was great, I had the short rib with polenta and she had the pappardelle pasta. The baked brie dish was decent, but could have used some jam or fruit. I think this place might be a better lunch spot than dinner. It really wasn't that busy, but our server was really hard to get attention from. She seemed really interested in watching the bartender make drinks. I was a career server for 10 years, she had all of the traits of someone I wouldn't want on my team. Not a place I'd recommend to anyone I like. They have a really cool concept but I'm afraid the execution is poor.
