This was our first experience at Cora’s. Earlier in the afternoon I received a phone call confirming our reservation. The young lady was very professional and personal telling us they we’re looking forward to having us as their guests. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Gloria who was an absolute doll! What an asset to your restaurant. Calling us by name, being very personal, escorting us to our table, everything she did was so welcoming. We felt that we had just met up with an old time friend. Jamie was our waitress. She stated that she had only been at Cora’s since May but seemed to have done the job all of her life. She was very knowledgeable about the menu making recommendations. I had a question that she couldn’t answer but she told me she would find out and she did. Her attentiveness throughout the evening was well timed and not irritating or rushed as many restaurants are. As we were leaving, we were once again addressed by Gloria who thanked us for coming, invited us back and gave a great big Mississippi hug until our next visit! We will definitely be back.
A restaurant of your caliber can do much better in the following:
Bread was stale and boring. And microwaved for warmth I believe.
The sausage or whatever meat on the medallions sauce was overwhelming and unnecessary.
Caesar dressing seperate from the salad? That's lazy.
Overall an average meal. Since this was my second visit to Cora's with the first being very good, you get the benefit of the doubt
We had evening dinner and breakfasts at Cora. Very nice restaurant that is quiet, good service, excellent food and selection and reasonable prices.
Hotel guests receive a 10% discount on meals.
We were surprised to find this restaurant practically empty on a Saturday night. Nicely decorated. Linen tablecloths would have been a nice touch. Service felt a bit rushed, especially in light of the fact that the place was nearly empty. Food was good and reasonably priced. The hotel is beautiful!
We went here for the Sunday brunch in a historic hotel. Not what we found. No brunch only order from menu which was not much better than Waffle House. Not bad just not what was expected.
Everything was the best--good cocktails, great food, excellent service. ESPECIALLY: Ms. Gloria made it an evening to remember. She was outstanding. Please tell her so!
Went there for our wedding anniversary. Food was incredible - I had the delmonico steak and my wife had the fillet, both were top quality pieces of meat and were cooked to perfection - very flavorful. Do not miss the fried green tomatoes for appetizer- the best! Service could have been better but in their defense they had a party of 40+ they were trying to accommodate too. Overall a very good 1st impression and we will definitely be dining there in the future.
Wonderful food and spectacular service , will be back next time we visit the area.
Excellent brunch and service. Food was great . Server was excellent and stayed on top of our order and refills .
Excellent service and great food. The place has a very unique atmosphere, situated in a lovely place. We had the suggestions from Nancy and totally loved them.
Restaurant is Gorgeous!! The Staff Very Welcoming and Professional. The Food was Mouthwatering Delicious!!! The best Fried green tomatoes and Oysters!!! A reason to drive into Biloxi.
We should have known when got there that the restaurant was empty except for a couple of tables that something wasn’t right. We ordered the fried green tomatoe appetizer and the crab cake was bad. The entree steak had no flavor and was low grade meat. We were very disappointed and won’t be back nor recommend.
Great food and great service! Other than the loud drunk guy celebrating his birthday a few table over, it was a perfect evening.
Food was ok. Service was ehhh...server forgot one meal in our party.
The duck confit spring rolls tasted like something frozen and then fried, not fresh. The redfish entree was very good, the steak was very good but the andouille cream sauce was not up to par. The cocktails from the bar were very good. I just wish everything had been fresh and made in house.
Limited menu. Charged $3 upgrade from spinach to asparagus.
We loved everything about this place. But the experience was made perfect by the hostess, Gloria. She was super fun and friendly!
The waiter did not seem to be interested in waiting on us.
We had a wonderful dinner there for Mother’s Day. Food was very good and the waiter was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We had cocktails in the bar before dinner and the bartender made a good cosmopolitan. I highly recommended this place.
This was our first time at Cora’s. The dining room is very nice and was quiet. Our server was excellent.
The fried oyster small plate was our favorite dish, the oysters, topping and spinach were very tasty and done to perfectIon. The house made dressing on the Caesar salad was quite good. The tomato soup was tasty but the consistency was unusually thick. We had the Delmonico steak which was too salty and the roasted duck with Brussels sprouts which were good and the accompanying black eyed peas were mushy. They offer a limited but nice wine selection.
Would definitely give Cora’s another try.
Food was exceptional
Service didn't exist until I spoke with the hostess. After that it was fine
Service and atmosphere was top notch. The staff was on their A game on our visit. The food was good for the price. We both had the Ribeye steak which was cooked to order and not overly seasoned! The drinks from the bar were excellent and well made! We will definitely plan on another visit in the future.
Excellent server! But, the food and drink were only mediocre, especially given the Manhattan-style prices.
Great location in hotel on Gulf Coast. Dinning room was nicely done, quiet, and very comfortable. All staff members were very nice. Food was tasty, and served promptly, but no rushing needed
This is a very beautiful restaurant with great food.
A champagne buffet was advertised and this is what I booked but upon after seating was told they have stoped this I should have been told earlier I will never recommend this place again
Incredible food and service. The menu has a lot of great options, it was difficult to choose. And the wine and cocktail selection is extensive too. I had the red snapper and it was perfectly cooked and seriously flavorful. The hostess had so much personality and was so nice, you wanted her to have dinner with you. And the table service is second to none. She had a fantastic personality too and was perfectly attentive. Definitely will go back if I’m in town!!!
Ambiance, service, menu and food was outstanding! All four of us got something different and shared.
The Delmonico steak, duck, pork chop and filet mignon were all delicious. Also, Cora's has an incredible drink menu. Can't wait to go back!!
It was great Easter dinner.
Th Executive Chef dripped the ball. Items advertised we’re not on the buffet. All starches on the buffet. Vegetable sides, sautés peppers & onions or salad. An experienced chef, or at least one who shows pride in his/her work would have never allowed this buffet to be set up.
We are regulars. We know what this restaurant can do. The Easter buffet wasn’t Cora’s best.
Cora's had a great, attentive staff with delicious food to match the overall experience. The isolated booths were phenomenal and allowed me to devote my attention solely on my wife.
Overall the experience was excellent. My only disappointment was with the fried oyster start. The oysters could have been larger and more flavorful- much like the Ahi tuna my wife had.
The Steak Walter and Pork tenderloin were delicious as was the creme brûlée.
Overall, a satisfying dining experience.
The food was excellent, but service was slow and they brought the check without asking if we wanted dessert. There was a big event at the hotel that night, so maybe it was just an off night for them.
We had made reservations for two at 5.15 when we arrived at the restaurant the hostess informed us that the restaurant would not open till 5.30 (I reminded her that we had reservations for 5.15) she apologized and said that the restaurant was indeed open?. I told her we had made reservations but she never bothered to check my name or anything. Hoping we would get a nice table for two (not) we were escorted to a five person table with a curtain separation from another five person table. No table cloths just a nice Formica topped table. The waiter was nice but failed to write down my starter so we did without my starter. My wife asked for a three Malbec wine tasting and the waiter came back with two tastings (apparently they had ran out of one of the Malbec's on the wine list) during the course of our meal the hostess and the waiter kept closing our curtain at the table don't know why as there was not much to see. My duck breast was way overcooked despite the fact that I went with the recommendation of medium rare. I like my duck on the rare side. My wife's steak Walter was actually pretty good, the truffle French fries were burnt and there was no truffle flavor.
Wonderful food choices and quality. Filet is comparable to top steak houses.
Our feed was delicious. The servers were short handed and you could tell. Someone the waiter we had did a great job keeping up and checking in with us. We were welcomed by everyone. We will take a trip back just the steak and grape jelly!!
Nice atmosphere very quiet at lunch. Appetizer of crab brie bisque was excellent very rich. Rib tips were very good more than enough for lunch. Pecan trout entree was ok the fish had a large bloodline in it, didn’t taste fresh. Overall an ok experience.
Wonder food and atmosphere. Chris our waiter was very attentive and helpful with lunch choices. We will be back!
Everything was just Great from the service to the food!!!
Thank you, Gina! We look forward to serving you again!
