Excellent service at a time of year everything seems rushed. Greeted immediately when arrived. Servers helped each other
The menu is compact and every item I have tried has been wonderful. I like coming here even for those not-so-special times when you just want to have a tasty, well prepared and presented meal. The bar makes very good cocktails. Highly recommend.
Generic, overpriced French restaurant. Went for my birthday dinner and my husband's mussels were raw/undercooked. My steak was well prepared. Restaurant is cavernous, not an intimate setting at all. We're willing to give them another shot, but likely not for a while because we paid more than we thought was reasonable for the experience (meaning if it had been a more romantic, cozy, intimate setting then it would have been more worth it). Also we will never understand why parents bring toddlers to restaurants like this.
Good food and great service
The quality of coffee should be improved to compete with the java stores. Quiche seemed to have an excessive amount of shaved/sliced onions which never was the case in past lunches
We always enjoy this restaurant. Nathan was a fantastic waiter. 3 of 4 planned to order scallops, but they were out of them. The hangar steak was flavorful, but the end pieces were very tough.
Excellent as always
We enjoyed brunch to celebrate my daughters 24 birthday! Everything was great! The only issue was toward the end our meal the waitress didn’t stop by as often to refill our beverages and finally getting out check. We will return for sure! It was a busy Sunday.
Such a great experience!! Delicious food!!! Did I mention delicious food! The service was great and it was so good! Definitely our new brunch spot
The ambience is great! But the food was not worth the price. Both entrees ordered in our party were less than average.
I have always been a fan of Coquette however our dinner last night was not up to par. My burger was ordered medium and when it arrived it was so undercooked it was cold inside. By the time a new one made, everyone at the table had finished their entree. Never good 😬. In additional, all at the table commented that the bread was not as good as in the past. Hopefully it was just a bad night as I normally really enjoy Coquette.
Started with a cocktail - the Le Fleur, St.Germain, orange, and bubbles. Personally I did not taste the St.Germain- it was like drinking a mimosa. Next time I will try something else.
The food however did not disappoint. The bread was fantastic as always, the french onion soup was flavorful and substantial, lots of onions.
We tried the escargot which was good for Raleigh standards, but we've had better in Paris. Undecided if we would order again here.
My husband got the lamb shank which was cooked perfectly and served with sweet potato fregola and pickled apple, dressed in an onion-mint jus.
I got the mussels in white cream sauce with shallot, parsley, dijon, white wine, cream - they were perfect.
The profiteroles featured were with coffee ice cream which were good.
Safe to say we will be back!
Tasty gluten free items for my wife. Fun. Great waiters
This is great pre-concert or pre-theatre dining venue. The menu is good, and the preparation is excellent. Service is warm and efficient. Wonderful experience each time.
The food I have here is always delicious! The decor is lovely. Finding a place to park anywhere nearby is always dreadful.
Always amazing and delicious. The team was extremely accommodating and we all enjoyed ourselves. I can’t wait to go back.
Amazing all around!
A little disappointed that we celebrated our 44th anniversary there & had indicated such on our reservation & there was no acknowledgement whatsoever. Guess they r too busy.
We love your food, and have visited your restaurant several times over the last 3 years - but I wonder, why you never change the menu?
We came to Coquette's after a tour of the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibit at the NCMA on a Sunday. As always, we were not disappointed - Coquette's is the quintessential French bistro and perfect for brunch and dinner. As it happens, we were also celebrating a birthday, so the wait staff put a candle in our shared dessert of PROFITEROLES (coffee ice cream, candied puffed rice, chocolate sauce) - yum! How thoughtful!
Flawless. Everyone from the 16 yo to the 86 yo throughly enjoyed their delicious “faire”
Excellent service also
Great place for dining. Everyone loved their meal.
Service was excellent, food very good and the atmosphere is very French feeling. Will definitely return in the future. The only low spot was parking and that is just the location.
My niece and I enjoyed a great lunch of quiche and salad—my favorite. Service was attentive and friendly.
The charcuterie board appetizer was very nice. The potato balls appetizer was also tasty, but they should provide more since they are hollow. We also had a crab crepe dish for an app and it was delicious. The beef bourgonion was tasty, but I've had better, and I would have thought it would be awesome here.
I know three stars is not what a restaurant wants to receive. The food was definitely good, but maybe not 4 star good that day.
One of the guys ordered a hamburger, and that did look very awesome. It had an egg on top.
The food at Coquette was excellent. My husband and I especially liked the terrine. Our only complaint is that the tables are too close together--which means we overheard everything said by the couple nearest us, who were clearly on a date. I now know where they have tattoos, how they feel about their dogs, and what their favorite cocktails are! Just a little extra space between the tables would have made a world of difference in the ambiance of the restaurant.
Always great food and service- authentic french atmosphere
This is my favorite restaurant in Raleigh! Whenever I want a nice dinner out, Coquette is my go-to. Excellent wine menu, and the quiche and coq au vin are fabulous. Service is wonderful, and overall perfect experience.
Service was very good. Manager visited with us and made us feel very welcomed. Food, generally speaking, ranged from good to very good and was reasonably priced.
We have visited many times and loved our meals. This time, however, was ridiculously disappointing. Our food was cold, to the point of being inedible. The bernaise sauce on my hanger steak was bland and thin. Our waiter seemed to be indisposed and forgot our order and had to come back and ask again. It will be a very long time before we return.
Always a favorite place to have lunch and catch up with friends.
Great service and good food...what more can you ask for?! We will be back.
We took my daughter here for her 18th birthday. There were 6 of us. The food was delicious, however, the service was lacking. We ordered 2 sides of brussel sprouts which were not delivered to our table until all of us were completely done with our dinners. I ordered a dessert that apparently was sold out (which was the second dessert they sold out of). When the waiter came to tell me it was sold out, he did not offer me the dessert menu again to make a second choice but I did ask for it and he gave me one. Again, service was slow as the entire table was done with our coffee, despite having to wait to drink it as we were waiting to ask the server to bring milk despite having asked for it when we ordered it, before the desserts were delivered. It was a Sunday evening so the restaurant was not busy. Again, food was delicious, service was lacking.
Good French food with bigger than usual portions.
I've been to this restaurant several times for lunch and one other time for brunch. The lunches I'd had were average but my previous brunch experience was excellent so I decided to try it again. I made a reservation in advance but when I arrived, I had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. No one in our party complained so I was pleasantly surprised when the manager came over and was extremely apologetic. She proactively offered coffee and pastries on the house which was a nice gesture. Our server was attentive throughout and I was feeling better about the experience except our entrees arrived cold. At that point, it wasn't worth even mentioning because we wouldn't have wanted to wait for them to redo the order. However, based on this experience, I have no desire to return.
My wife took me there for my birthday. It was wonderful
Delicious Sunday brunch here. Ended up taking home a baguette, their in-house made bread is so delicious. $2 mimosas, along with delicious french toast and quiche were delicious.
This is a great place to unwind and enjoy good food
As usual, the food was outstanding and the service exceptional (thanks, Philip). We'll be back again and again!
Service was outstanding as was the seafood crepe my wife had. The Turkey baguette was good but not great. Dining area was loud.
