Booked a table for my boyfriends birthday - staff responded to questions and were polite, but we were told the kitchen was closed at 2:45 on a Saturday (despite booking a table in advance online). Was charged a service fee of 15% despite having to order our drinks at the bar and then carry our own ice bucket and wine and glasses to a table of our choosing (we didn’t receive any service). Atmosphere was poor, with next to no one around. Lots of areas closed off and sofas covered so you can’t sit on them. Heater for our table didn’t work. Music was okay but quiet. Umbrellas covered the views so we couldn’t really see any skyline from any of the tables. Overall a bit disappointing.

A wonderful summer lunch on the terrace to start my birthday celebrations - the food looked and tasted amazing and the team looked after us very well - well. Be back again soon

Great food and service, just had a little problem with the Wine chiller but that might have been the hot weather. Nothing that wasn't put right in the ice bucket...

Fantastic restaurant for a business lunch where you want something slightly more discrete than many other City restaurants. Not cheap that good quality food. You get what you pay for. The cambia slight Challenger lunchtime with access to the restaurant as you need to go in the small elevators street level and there can be queuing but all in a great experience

Went to celebrate an anniversary. Sat outdoors under shade and had a fantastic 3 courses. Food was delicious, service very friendly. Great value for the quality of the dishes served. Would highly recommend to anyone.

The food was as always very good, well presented and a good, varied menu. For once service was not good. This is quite an expensive venue, so disappointing on this occasion

Surprisingly poor experience. I haven't dined at Coq d'Argent for a few years. My experience this time wasn't great. 1. Outside space is a bit basic and needs a better design/ambience 2. Ran out of the starter I wanted really early in the service 3. Goats cheese tart dry as a bone 4. Tuna - sinewy and undercooked 5. Plates not cleared, had to put them on the side wall 6. Not enough waiting staff

Convenient location for afterwork dinner or meetings. Ambience is fine, but it was rather loud for us as we were seated in a corner between two large groups. The waiters were very polite but they were too busy with the large tables and we waited a while trying to get their attention to order dessert. Food was good but doesn’t stand out for the price, compared to other same level restaurants in the city.

Really fun with helpful friendly staff but not the best food or most attentive service (lack of organisation and training. Individually staff can’t do enough to help and are very personable). We enjoyed the food but it came cold. I would recommend Coq for the “whole experience” and Sunday lunch deal is good value but foodies may be disappointed.
