   Le Coq is a fab setting and ambience is great. The Sunday lunch option at £40 for 3 courses is v good value. Caroline our waitress was delightful.

   We had a table for 4 early evening. it was very quiet and we chatted and the waitress took a drink order. 3 cocktails and a spirit mixer. The cocktails were warm and had no garnish, just a mediocre basic drink! We ordered burrata and tomatoes it was ok but quite tasteless. The tomatoes looked nice but had not taste at all. Mains were cold and again just basic, no garnish or presentation. One of us ordered the steak it was just a white plate with a piece of steak in the middle and some cold chips in a metal cup on the side. It could have been a pub meal. The lamb shank was ok. 15% service charge was added but unfortunately the service was not great. One waiter was very impatient and literally snatched the desert menu out of my hand. All in all this meal was very disappointing and very overpriced. I wouldn’t mind paying these prices if the food was well presented and fresh but unfortunately this was not the case.

   An awful experience from start to finish! Rude staff, awfully slow service for a restaurant with only a few customers. Had high hopes and we were terribly let down, mostly by the service, cold food and having to pour our own wine. Will never return.

   Arrived for a late lunch for 2 Greeted very nicely and seated at a nice table ion the side terrace Unfortunately we were sat next to two tables who of 6 and 8 who were quite lively. (Not a big problem) Took a while for our drinks order to be taken and had finished our starter before our bottle of wine turned up (what we ordered wasn’t available so offered an alternative for same money but on the bill was £12.00 more expensive) Food was great and after dinner cocktails were very good We will come back as food / location are very good I will make sure we sit on the main terrace next time

   We went there for lunch and there was a full house. Really good food and ambience, the only downside was the service, since it was difficult to grab the waiters attention. The waiters service was also good in itself when it actually came, other than for the dessert which actually didn’t come and we ended up going without having it.

   Extremely disappointing experience. The service was terrible. We had to wait for 45 mins to order our food and that included having to chase on numerous occasions for someone to take our order. There was no real apology. It even took an hour for us to receive a glass of water. When the food arrived it was tepid. We also had to endure the disruption of trolleys of food deliveries passing our table by throughout the course of the meal. This not what you expect from a high end restaurant where the drinks and food are very experience. Whilst the restaurant may have been good once, it has well and truly had its heyday and there are plenty of better restaurants in the city to try. I would not recommend.

   i had lamb shank and it definitely didn't just fall off the bone, i needed a pick axe and a chain saw!

    The website's not clear about that dinner's only served inside. Food is excellent, the toilets aren't.
