Copperleaf Restaurant at Cedarbrook Lodge
Loved it! No rush, great food and excellent ambience! Will go back soon!
Great ambiance. Great service. Not too expensive.
Let me first say that we have dined here on many occasions and while service has been slow, we have never walked away disappointed. Our recent dining experience was the complete opposite. We got seated promptly, but were then ignored for 15 minutes until finally water was brought. This was not our waiter but looked like an assistant manager or management staff trying to help out. He took our drink order, then disappeared for what was 15 more minutes. Finally drinks come. Our waiter now has a moment to greet us and takes our order. We each ordered an entree and two appetizers for the table. Simple as that. Forty-five more minutes have gone by, no appetizers, no checking in on us if we need more to drink, our waiter has disappeared. It has now been an hour and 15 minutes into our reservation and we have no food. Food comes after 1.5 hours, two of our entrees, one salad, one appetizer. Half of our table was fed, while the other half nibbled on some appetizers. We had to wait 15 more minutes to get the rest of the entrees. And finally when it was time to pay we received our final appetizer. The waiter explained to us it was the kitchen that was backed up, but it was the waiters fault for not coming by to keep us informed about our food or to even check if we were alive. No bread to hold us over either. Our food didn’t even make up for the experience. It was cold, tasteless, messy and nothing came out in the order that it should. Not sure if this is the new norm at Copperleaf, but if so I won’t be returning. A shame for a place we used to frequent often.
Food was cold. We sent it back but the second time it was cold too and we still got charged for it. Our waitress was so bombarded with new tables that we basically got forgotten about. Not sure if it was due to COVID but the experience wasn’t good.
Good experience all the way around
We had a gift certificate, so we decided to dress up & go out for our anniversary, which was stated in our reservation. We were seated in the middle of the traffic thru the hotel (not particularly intimate or 'view-worthy') & wished a polite "Happy Anniversary".
Our server was polite & attentive, but hardly friendly. Our salads were no more than the Spring mix that you can get at any Grocery Store with only one choice of dressing. He brought them out and set them on a table in a public breezeway, while he went outside to serve another table. We ordered the deviled eggs which came topped with salmon roe (fishing bait, in my opinion).
I ordered the short rib. What "fine" restaurant serves that kind of crap?! It was probably 70% fat & tasteless!
Most restaurants offer SOMETHING as a gratuity for a special life event. Not this one! We ordered our own desserts. The peach cobbler was awful! It had so much cinnamon that the filling was dark brown & the peaches were under-ripe (crunchy).
If it's fine dining for a special occasion that you seek...go somewhere else!!
The only saving grace was the gift certificate.
Maria was a fantastic service. She was cheerful, professional and provided the perfect amount of attentiveness. We tried several different items and they were all terrific! This was our first time eating here and this restaurant will stand out as a special one for us from now on.
The Food and the waiter were outstanding. We enjoyed the musics and loved sitting outside with heater on. Thank you
Copperleaf is a wonderful restaurant in an out-of-the way boutique hotel location situated very near SeaTac airport. As a local, we've enjoyed meals here several times and appreciate the ease of arrival and parking. Walking the grounds is a tranquil experience as well. Service in the restaurant has always been very good, with knowledgable, friendly staff (Marco is really wonderful). The food comes out and reminds you that you are in for a treat, being high quality and beautifully prepared. We look forward to another wonderful dining experience soon!
Cedarbrook Lodge is an ideal setting for lodging and the Copperleaf Restaurant is a perfect complement. I was seated at an outdoor table near a green space and stone path. It was an ideal setting for dinner. The service? Exceptional!
The best establishment by far in the Sea Tac area. We stayed there for 4 days and enjoyed every offer the lodge had.
Our spinach salad came as boiled spinach essentially and our waters were never filled. We did not see the waiter again after he checked with us when the food arrived. We got so cold waiting for water and the check that we packed up and went inside to get our check. The waiter knew he had forgotten and seemed flustered but did not apologize. Penne Alfredo was ok, fries were good but I left ready to go get food and it cost us $85
This is one of the only places I feel comfortable eating during the pandemic. The seating on the patio is spacious and they have patio heaters as the weather cools. The food is very good. They don't have the full menu they used to have, but still have a lot of great items available.
Their burger may have been the best that I have ever ate. The deserts and cocktails were to die for. I would have liked to see a couple more local PNW seafood options since it was my last night to endulce. The service was thoughtful and impeccable. I will be back again and again.
Great service and exceptional food. The Chef did a fantastic job.
The starters were on par with our expectations based on the price point and the up scale nature of the venue. Our server was on point all night as well. The main course was a let down. One dimensional basic flavor and presentation. Very noisy with carts full of kitchen good being moved from the lawn from perhaps another event rig jt through the middle of the patio.
Waitress and maître d’ were very courteous and professional
We ordered room service and when we got our very expensive meal, the food was cold. Noodles were not cooked through, and the chicken was cold and tasted like frozen chicken.
Best service we have ever received
The setting is magnificent. Delicious menu items. Great cocktails. Fine wine list. A very enjoyable evening.
Beautiful atmosphere and delicious menu options. The staff was very warm and knowledgeable.
The atmosphere outside was lovely, but the food was a bit bland and uninteresting for the price point.
Great outdoor farm to table dining in idyllic setting.
Very disappointing for what used to be a fine restaurant. Over 3 hours is the time it took to serve dinner. The appetizer came out with the main meal. The waitress was either clueless or overwrought with the number of tables she had to service. The dessert took at least 45 minutes to appear once ordered. My wife got the wrong dessert. Other guests voiced the same frustration with the overlong wait times. The waitress did not apologize or offer any understanding for us frustrated patrons
Had dinner for our 25th Anniversary. Great atmosphere and service.
We live nearby and we frequent the restaurant quite often.
We of course are in the middle of a pandemic. And the staff is doing their best to keep everything clean.
Except the tables that had eaten. There were dishes all over them, they were not even bussed before people left.
Which is kind of gross to sit and look at.
The food has certainly gone downhill. The last three times we’ve eaten there, the food has been prepared wrong, missing items on the plate or cold ( instead of hot ).
It seems as though the staff is overwhelmed and the poor manager was running around with his head cut off.
Please return to your former glory soon!
We have always had great experiences at Copperleaf but they were way off this time. The serbers had to take our drink and food orders multiple times. The drinks were off. There were only 3 options for dinner mains and they were out of 1. We asked for the appetizer to be brought out first and it came out at the same time as our meals. The dessert was supposed to be a warm brownie and it was rock hard and not warmed at all. Also, someone was smoking a cigar right next to our table and they didn't do anything about it. Not the best experience for a very expensive dinner.
Food was delicious, outdoor dining was a beautiful setting.
Service was horrible. We felt like an inconvenience to our server when we asked for a water refill, which we had to ask for every time and then wait 10 minutes for her to get. (The restaurant was not busy.) She was terse and seemed put out by the request for a straw.
The area is beautiful & absolutely stunning! It was the first night of their Backyard BBQ Event (something they are trying to do different amidst Covid-19 downfall), so it was a nice setup.
The food is tasty & the ambience is like no other! A couple of suggestions, is to have some lighting, as there was none after it got dark... And they would need to just work on the timing of bringing out the kitchen food & the food from the BBQ area. It sometimes sat & came out to us cold :(
But...the service is nice! But please be considerate as they are short handed due to this pandemic time---
I love this hotel, love the restaurant & it was definitely still a nice experience. The Restaurant Manager is friendly as well!
It was that feeling of “ we are in the new waitress section” ..... That’s not always a bad thing but this time it was. They forgot our drink order twice, gave us the wrong food and insisted it was the right food but charged us the wrong foods price(which was higher) and then couldn’t figure out how to use a PayPal MasterCard debit card!!! Besides that the food that we did order was GREAT!! I think they are still working out the BBQ venue.
Great job with outdoor dining, social distancing, and keeping everyone safe. Nice way to get out, but not put yourself in danger !
Vacation end was made special by dinner at Copperleaf!
One of my best experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
For our first time there we were very impressed! Food was so good and the evening outdoors was beautiful!
Terrible service- had to wait 1.25 hrs for 3 kids’ meals, and 2 fish dishes. Ridiculous and unheard of. We had to return a rental car and figured that giving ourselves 2 hours to eat dinner was more than enough, didn’t even get to eat on site as it took so long, had to box the food and take it to go. Horribly disappointing and they didn’t even take anything off of the bill for apology. Waitress was nice and did her best. Kitchen was not staffed sufficiently.
Covid makes it challenging no matter where you go, our previous experience at Copperleaf was very special and we had high expectations, the menu was limited, the atmosphere was great. It was odd to see other people bringing their own food(take out?) to the tables located on the grassy area outside the general restaurant area. Overall we did enjoy our meal and considering all of the Covid restrictions I thought they were great!
We have enjoyed dinning there for many years. Understand the difficult times we are in but for the first time the service and dinner was poor. It took 45 minutes for our dinner to arrive. The salads in the past have been great, not this time. Not the servers fault ! We have taken out of town guests for dinners in the past but am not sure about the future
The sweet potato fries are the best I’ve ever eaten.
A really wonderful place - beautiful setting with expert preparation of delicious food and drinks. The staff is very nice, food excellent and beautiful surroundings.
Copperleaf is a great pandemic destination. Outside seating in great atmosphere with plenty of distance between tables. Food was amazing, really nice summer menue.
