Copper Canyon Grill - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
Searched for recommended restaurants and booked the Copper Canyon with my family. When we got there I realised I had walked past it plenty of times but never gone in as the outside isn’t that appealing if you’ve not been inside. Little dark inside but not oppressively so. Good food, I had the ribs and they were excellent. The staff made a nice fuss of my daughter and we had a nice time. Worth a try
We were celebrating my husband's birthday and his favorite is Baltimore crab cakes. Since Copper Canyon is based in Maryland and they have Eastern Shore crab cakes on the menu, his mouth was watering. He liked them because they were mostly lump crab, with very little filler, but he thought they were very light on the Old Bay seasoning.
The rest of us had mundane menu items, like chicken, etc. It was very good, but pricey for what they served.
Service was very attentive. Even though we were there during happy hour, we could not get happy hour prices at the table and had to go to the bar ourselves to get happy hour drinks.
I had never been to the Copper Canyon before but my partner had, she had told me how good it was so we were looking forward to it. We were sat in a booth beside the bar for a 10pm meal, the server told us we would be looked after by the bar staff for our meal. Our order was taken promptly and wine served, that was the last we saw of our server. When the meals arrived the kitchen had cooked our steaks the wrong way round, I got a medium well where my partner got a rare, a simple swap you may think.....not when they are different cuts of steak.
I caught the attention of one of the staff and pointed out the error, the rare steak was taken away to be re-cooked, but I decided just to leave mine as was as I didn’t want to wait for another steak to be cooked as it was now 10.45pm.
When the re-cooked steak returned it was served with the wrong sides, I suggested that the whole plate be removed and replated correctly, but they insisted on bringing over other plates of sides instead.
At this point the duty manager arrived and we explained the situation to her, she said she would look after us and if we wanted a dessert to let her know, neither of us did want a dessert.
The duty manager came back to the table 5 minutes later with a $50 dollar gift card and also said that she had taken care of the full check which I thought was very generous indeed, we weren’t looking for a free meal, just to let them know the service had been poor that night.
This was the last night of our holiday, so wasn’t the best ending, however we would return as this just a one off blip that the manager more than corrected.
We could not believe the high quality of service and the food👍
Two of ordered the chicken and couldn't stop talking about how moist and flavorful it tasted! Another had the ribs which were equally delicious. My husband had the ahi salad which he raved about. Great table out of the hub so we could really hear and chat.
Great restaurant for a date, business dinner, or even a "nice family dinner" that is just a bit more upscale. A family of 6, with 2 kids can easily spend $200 on dinner and dessert and it's worth it. Their ribs and Mac n cheese are great, as is their rotisserie chicken. We go there all the time as the last dinner of our vacation in Orlando.
Second time we have eaten here when in the area. Everyone always has a good meal. The roast chicken is great. One person in party had the filet and it was excellent. Prepared perfectly. If you like comfort food, this is a place to visit. Service is also great. Definitely on the repeat list the next time we are in town.
1st time dining at Cooper Canyon. We loved it! Amazing experience. Magical dining menu was Great. Food was delicious! Filet dish was perfect. My kids had the chicken and ribs and we were jealous! Super impressed with the classy atmosphere. Loved being greeted and seated by the ladies in black with pearl necklaces... Nice touch!!! Don was very attentive and can't wait to go back! Thank you.
The staff was friendly and helpful but the overall experience was disappointing, first due to the noise level and second to the issues with prep on the food. Two examples: order a salad with dressing on the side-- comes to the table fully dressed... order steak salad medium rare and the meat is cooked until so overdone it's like beef hockey pucks. Yes, I know you have a full house and things aren't moving as well through the kitchen as they should, but come on. Basics like these are things even a fledgling diner can get right. It wasnt the worst meal ever but by the time everyone got what they ordered we just decided to call it quits and go home. No coffee or dessert. Just pack up the Mac and Cheese to go cause that was really good. The rest, not so much .
Loved our wedding anniversary meal here. On holiday from the UK so had our two boy's with us and ordered from the happy hour menu whilst sat at the bar. Used the menus like a tapas so had five plates and each one very tastey, to the taste buds and eyes. Exceptional good value if you are looking for something with a finer finish rather than usual fayre. Visited two years previously and knew it was a place to re visit. Staff superb, cosy setting, great location on I drive @ pointe Orlando.
Hannah was wonderful! Valet Parking was a bit difficult to access as it was just before GPS brought us to the restaurant so be alert as you get close because traffic on the area is congested. The ribs were AMAZING and they allowed the substitutions we requested. Delightful evening.
We stumbled upon this gem while on vacation. Wonderful find! The food is just wonderfully delicious! The ribs, burgers, pasta, prime rib, house salad, chicken and bacon mac n cheese are lip smacking good! The desserts are off the chain delicious. The key lime pie, bread pudding and strawberry shortcake cheesecake with the home made whipped cream were mind blowing. I have never tasted whipped cream like this before...it was like ice cream...thick yet light and sweet. Simply great. We went 2x in one week! We will be back again on our next vacation to Florida in September!
Our dining experience was great. Upon arriving we were immediately seated (reservation was made), and very shortly thereafter our server came to assist us with our drinks and order. I ordered the crab cakes and my wife ordered the ribs. The crab cakes were delicious but I noticed that my wife was actually struggling to slice her ribs with the knife that she was given. The server came and saw her dilemma and offered her a steak knife, which really did not help very much. Within seconds upon the server leaving the manager came over and offered to replace my wife's rib with ribs that were more tender. She stated that she really should not have had that much of a problem because she should have been able to pull them apart with a fork. She replaced the ribs which were much better than the first order received. I was very grateful as I explained to the manager that we were there celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary, and her effort in making my wife's meal more tolerable really made our evening. Additionally, when the management was aware that we were celebrating our anniversary we were given a glass of champagne and a desert on the house. Thank you so much for saving the evening.
We were looking for a restaurant in Orlando that wasn't affiliated with a theme park or a chain. This place hit the button. I would call it upscale casual. You won't find tourists in tank topics and flip flops here. On the other hand, no jacket required for the men in your party. The food was great and the portions a tad too large. Although, most people don't mind that. Our server was great and the ambiance just right.
Very noisy, very cold, uncomfortable and poor to average service. Food was great but everything else lets this place down. Most of all it needs some sound deadening, the noise levels are intolerable. It's impossible to have a conversation without shouting which everyone is doing making the noise levels worse still. Also it's freezing cold like sitting in a refrigerator.
