    The hostess and wait staff made Christmas lunch very special for my friends and me. The food as always was delicious. Also, they always work with me as someone with Celiac's.

    I've always loved coming here. Food was delicious as usual, unfortunately the prices are a bit much. $15 for a slice of carrot cake?!! That was almost as much as my meal! It will be a while before we will be back.

    We love this restaurant. What is especially nice is that you can order off of the café menu or from the steakhouse menu. You also have access to the full bar menu. By booking a reservation with OpenTable, I have never had to wait more than two minutes upon checking in. Shelby was our server for the second time and she remembered our family from our last dinner there six months ago.

    Luckily we had several hours to spare because even with arriving early for our reservation we didn’t get greeted or helped by our server until 30 minutes later. Took 45 minutes to get 2 slices of cake. When we finally got lunch (ordered the Monte Cristo) it was extremely greasy yet the meat was dry. The fries were greasy and undercooked. The server agreed- so clearly they don’t know what temp to set their fryer. Only thing I would recommend is cake to go.

    Bacon was dry and overdone. It looked and tasted like it had been sitting around for a while. When I asked for a new order it came back looking and tasting the same… even though it was a fresh order. Service very good. Tasty espresso. Why do they stop making pancakes at 11am??? Some guests like a brunch with pancakes!

    We were there for a birthday and ordered several desserts that we shared between the 7 of us. All magnificent! Our server, Steven was excellent, fun and helpful! We made a reservation and were seated about 15 minutes early. Beautifully decorated for Christmas!!

    The service was amazing and our waitress was fabulous. My husband's breakfast was the last to be served and the waitress was amazing to keep us notified. Our guests were from Brazil and they loved the Madonna Inn. They were impressed with the decor and the ambiance. My husband and I are San Luis Natives. My father went to high school with Alex Madonna.

    We had a great experience here last night. We were celebrating an early Christmas and the ambiance was perfect for the occasion. Our server was fantastic! Very accommodating and friendly. Food was good.

    For the first time in many years the Copper Cafe felt run down, not very clean and just aged. I remember the times when it would be in full Holiday decor- and they have definitely cut back. The food as well felt more roadside diner than what I remember. Kind of depressing. Dishes and silverware were spotted and the Madonna Inn infamous glasses were smudgy and didn’t feel clean. Kind of bummed-

    Loved the whole experience. Food, Big band music and dancing was so much fun. Of course could not leave without a piece of your famous cake!!! Loved the whole atmosphere.

    The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our food was very good and the biscuits were delicious! The Christmas decorations made our experience even better. We walked around after our meal and viewed the gorgeous dining room and the gift shops. Delightful experience.

    Madonna Inn - Copper Cafe Thanksgiving Dinner We arrived on time according to our reservation that I made 2 weeks in advance. Our reservation was poorly appreciated by the front desk manager and by a rude hostess (petite long dark ponytail hair) that clearly said there were not more options (take it or leave it). The personnel in general appears to be exhausted and ready to clean up the tables and go home. Thanksgiving meal options were just okay, seriously overpriced. I don't recommend this place for any family gathering event such Thanksgiving. After spending a few hundred dollars for a boring meal but enjoying the company of family members visiting from Spain, we moved from the ugly corner dining area to the main fancy room/bar until late midnight. I wouldn't consider eating here again. Plenty of great options 5 mins away in San Luis Obispo.

    First off the hostess Crystal M wasn’t very friendly and with no smiles or anything! She would be better off at the back of the house instead! Our server Joey on the other hand was very nice & friendly & on it! He made our night much better! The food which we ordered the turkey dinner came out pretty quick & it was pretty good, but nothing to brag about! The price we paid was pretty high & I don’t feel it was worth it! I gave a 3 star because of Joey’s friendliness & service, but the overall experience wasn’t that great! I would think twice about coming back or bringing anyone here!

    It's absolutely amazing that people would eat at this restaurant more than once! The Madonna Inn restaurants are a cross between a carnival and a 3rd rate steakhouse... and I'm being generous! The meat is "Industrial Grade" at best, and not even suitable for canned meat. I ordered the prime rib, and it was the worst grade of meat I've ever had served to me...and I'm 66 years old. In fact the prime rib was so tough I couldn't even cut it with large steak knife. I sent the prime rib back, and the sever walked into the kitchen and 2 minutes later brought out a ribeye steak as a replacement. It was very obvious that the ribeye had been soaking in an extremely salty pan of Au Jus (as a fast go-to replacement). It was likely the ribeye was from the same 30 year old cow that the prime rib came from. See the pictures of the "med-rare" steaks... and the salad that came with a $70 steak! The only people that eat here, are admirers of the kings new cloths! ***USDA Beef grade served us at Madonna Restaurant: "Standard and Commercial" – Standard and Commercial grades of beef are frequently sold as ungraded or as store brand meat. Utility, Cutter, and Canner grades of beef are seldom, if ever, sold at retail. Instead they are used to make ground beef and processed products.

    Food came out very sporadic. Chili was cold in spots, open face turkey sandwich room temp. It was Thanksgiving night and a little busy, BUT they do this every year and there really is no excuse for food to be coming out cold and not at the same time. Now breakfast the next morning, was great…! They were not busy.

    Thanksgiving dinner was excellent. The place was packed but the serve staff were friendly and attentive despite the packed house. It was an over the top Winter Wonderland decked out for Christmas and we all loved what we had Roast ducking was great. Wonderful experience.

    Service was great but our Thanksgiving dinner was terrible. The fish and duck dishes were overcooked. Sides were bland. I do not recommend coming here, especially for the price. One of the worst meals we’ve ever had, unfortunately.

    We had Thanksgiving Dinner at the Madonna Inn Copper Cafe. They really pack people in for Thanksgiving Dinner. Don't expect fine dining here; the dinner was mediocre at best. We were supposed to get sourdough rolls with our meal, but were served cold rolls which appeared to be store bought King Hawaiian Sweet Rolls; they were definitely not sourdough and I was given a dirty plate for mine. The soup was fairly decent, but the main course of turkey, snap peas, and mashed potatoes was not special in any way.

    Have been to Madonna Inn in previous years for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Always been pleased. This year four of us went for the Thanksgiving mea. All four were very disappointed with the food. The turkey, duck and peas were very overdone (meat was VERY dry and tasteless; peas were soggy). Potatoes had no flavor, were not at all smooth and soft, and came without gravy. Sad when all four end up disappointed.

    My duckling was very dry. It would also be a plus to also include cranberry sauce with the Thanksgiving meal menu. Overall was great, our server was fantastic!!! So was the other staff!!!!!

    Our server, and the food was very good. However, I was in a wheelchair and had to use a restroom. The only restroom I could get to was by the back bar which somebody had occupied for 35 minutes. I found out it was a traveler from LA stopping to use the bathroom on their way to Fresno. Not even a customer! There were no elevators to the first floor restroom, so I had no choice. Hence my meal was COLD & I did not get to eat with my husband as he was done, and by the time I got back to the table we wrapped up my food to go home. I had surgery on 11/6/23 so in a wheelchair, and I was so excited to go out with my husband and this was a grave disappointment. I’d have to say it was my saddest Thanksgiving ever. You really need to do something to accommodate wheelchairs and handicap when dining as I asked several servers if there was someplace else in the restaurant on the main level that I could use a restroom. This is where they sent me, and my hands were tied as I waited for over 35 minutes. In fact, I was waiting in line for the bathroom longer than I actually sat with my husband our entire Thanksgiving meal.  Please feel free to call me if you have any inquiries. Thank you.     Madonna Inn always delivers! Whether the Steakhouse or the Copper Cafe, the ambiance, the decor, and the staff are always top notch. We had a reservation for 11:30 and were taken directly to our table upon checking in. Seated close to the fireplace, it is one of my favorite locations in the Copper Cafe. The food was excellent (as always). Loved the Christmas decorations and had fun browsing the three gift shops.

    Love this place! Ordered a Belgian waffle and asked for a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top and they didn't disappoint. It was absolutely amazing and delicious. fresh coffee is another plus. YUM!!

    The copper cafe is an old school restaurant with tried and true offerings. I had the hot turkey sandwich and it did not disappoint. Large slices of moist turkey, delicious gravy and mashed potatoes. A small side of cranberry sauce was included and delicious. It comes with a side salad, but we asked for soup instead and were given a delicious cup of carrot soup. Never had that and it was great! Great ambiance and great food.

    One BLT, one hot ham, one roast turkey and one bowel of the soup. Everyone LOVED their choices. Then we shared a piece of the Toffee Crunch cake.....very tasty!!
