Copacabana Brazilian Steakhouse - Adelaide (Downtown)
Your experience at Copacabana begins with a trip to our "Galleria" where you will be tempted by fresh baked breads and dips from our open concept bakery; fresh cheeses cut from the wheel, and expertly hand sliced charcuterie selections. Help yourself to as much crisp salads and colorful starters you want, but leave room: Your experience is just beginning.
Back at your table our Gauchos or Carvers will service you with a feast of various CAB (Certified Angus) grilled meats prepared in a number of ways. Simply tell your carver how you prefer your meat, (most come medium rare) and leave the rest to us!
There is only one small task for you...As your Gaucho is Cutting at your table, use your provided tongs to simply grasp the top slab of meat and assist as he thinly slices a perfect cut of meat onto your plate, enjoy…and repeat as many times as you like!
it was such a great experience. Food, music and service was amazing. Would definitely go back
The food was amazing but the service was horrible. I reserved a spot for my birthday and we waited and waited and waited for the meat guys to come and serve us but they would skip my table; I don’t know for what reason. We complained and they started coming more often but one particular guy would give us attitude and would be rude when serving us the meat. I love copacabana but I will not recommend this location due to the service I received.
Service at check in was excellent, the food is great so you’re probably wondering why I’m only giving it 2 stars. Well - it’s actually with seating. They places us ( party of 3 ) near where the meat comes out from. But instead of being first we were last. Which is ok - but the fact that by the time they got to us the skewer would be empty. After 30 minutely s of sitting there probably getting maybe 2-3 cuts I finally had to mention to one of the waiters there. Of course after that the service did change , but alas some of the food that only comes out once an hour - which we were bypassed 2x ( once they walked by the entire prime rib tray was empty ) the other time I had to wave down the waiter and even then we barley got anything. I understand that they can’t help how much is left over - but it starts to suck when all you get are scraps or nothing at all. Of course with the 2 hour mark we ran out of time and were told we would have to leave soon - which I understand - but guess what - still no prime rib :(.
Now I may seem salty - which is true but the fact that if I did not speak up for the rest of the night we would probably have gotten barley anything and the fact that the way pathing was set up meant we got the last scraps and sometimes only enough for 2 of the 3 of the party and when promised “ we will come
Back with more “ and did not was kind of getting annoying ; especially at 60$ a person
Always a great time. Always great quality. Love coming here!!
There are not enough servers walking around with the food items. We waited 30mins between servers and in some cases servers ran out of food by the time they came to our table, and never to return. We were finally served after advising the wait staff. As a result we decided to forego coffee/dessert.
Our waitress lilianna was the worst
Service was slow and food selection was limited. Not worth the money you’re spending.
One of the steaks was undercooked, looked raw
There was a slight delay in the rounds of meat after the show
The experience was overall good, I think there should be more variety in meats. I went to celebrate my birthday and I was not offered a special birthday promotion.
It was amazing!! My boyfriend and I’s first time dining here! We were more then satisfied!!
Always a great experience. But seems like this time they weren’t prepared for a busy Sunday and the food quality wasn’t as good as it usually is.
The service was terribly slow, we had to ask 5 times for different cuts of meat, and never got it. The few cuts we got took at least 20 mins in between. It felt like they just wanted us to have bread and pasta.
Front desk service is always terrible. The women at the front always have attitude never greet guests and make you wait while no one else is there. Pretty unwelcoming experience but once you get inside the service gets much better night and day.
My son’s 19th Birthday however it was yesterday and we were celebrating today and they checked hisID and since it wasn’t the actual day they didn’t do anything special for him
The meat took forever to come and then the waiter kept asking my date and if we are going to eat the food on our plates. Like for over two mins, keep saying “ are you going to eat that”? I was livid! Messed up a good date night
We went to celebrate our friends birthday (it was actually the day before so we couldn’t get a free meal out of it but if you go on your birthday with at least four people your meal is free I think). At any rate we delved into the buffet, which you should never fill up on, and soon the meat started arriving. Our favourite is the Parmesan tenderloin but they don’t rush out with it often you have to request it. As soon as it arrived I was a wee bit disappointed because I felt full already! Damn it could take full advantage but all in all still a great meal. Just not worth coming if you can’t pig out. So save your appetite.
Been in all branches, and this specific branch for many times before, but this time was the worst! Asked for medium well as we had kids and we didn’t like rare as much, ended up eating salmon and shrimp as all servers were skipping our table, with all honesty, I had 5 pieces of meat mostly rare as we were just hungry and literally asked for them twice to serve
We were there for my daughters 17th birthday.
been to the other locations and this was very bad in comparison. Waited 20 minutes for our table even though we had reservations. Then waited for another 20 minutes before any of the carvers came around with what I would call are scraps. Nothing made at medium or medium well...only told by carvers that medium rare is out and will have to wait for medium or medium well(30min). Waitress was oblivious to us from the time we walked in and didn’t ask us for any drinks...total lack of respect from her (Catherine)....brought us fresh corn bread muffins that I wanted to try and asked only one person on our table and turned back and headed for the kitchen. Actually it was the theme for the night..wait staff and carvers were purposely avoiding our table...they made an effort to come right beside our table and serve other tables, but when it came to our table, they did a ballet turn that had been perfected to the letter T..after growing increasingly impatient and starving at this point we did manage to catch the attention of one carver who actually did a pretty nice job of making sure to check on us regularly (David). But the meats were atrocious and hard to digest...would never go back to this location...can’t believe how each location differs so much in taste.
As for the waitress..only time she cared if we even existed is when it came time to pay(Tip time).
She asked if we wanted anything else...code for thanks for coming but you have to leave now.
Complete lack of professionalism and no managers around. At least none came to our table.
A lot of people around us were getting treated like royalty...question for management and owners...how come everyone pays the same high prices, but some people get treated differently?
Don’t want to throw the race card but if the shoe fits...!
Waste of 2 1/2 hours including travel and $320 !
Never going back to this location.
The food is great! Quite americanised though (i.e., cuts can come with added cheese or wrapped in bacon!?) but very tasty! Since the reception all the hosts/waiters were great and always checking on us. In my opinion, food is properly priced, however drinks seemed a bit overpriced for what they were. We had a lovely time and will definitely come back.
I was there with my family celebrating my brother's birthday. We were so disappointed by the quality of the meat. It was mostly fatty meat. I was so disappointed because I was hoping my brother would enjoy a great night with great food, since I've been there a few times before. I feel like the quality of the food is changing over time. We will definitely not go back.
This place was amazing! The bread bar itself is overwhelming but then there’s a salad bar, pastas, and in addition amazing meats being passed around. They are stuffed with cheese and even my boyfriend who hates cheese enjoyed it. My favorite was the sirloin, which was sliced thin and so buttery it melted in your mouth! I will come back any time I am in toronto!
Took a bit for the servers to get to our table with the different entree meats, but once they did, great service for the night.
Overall very happy. It was extremely busy so had to wait a few times for the meat but it was a good chance to try the sangrias.
The food is excellent, but what you really pay for is the experience of servers coming to your table with all kinds of different meats. Come hungry and expect an expensive evening and you won’t be disappointed.
Staff at Adelaide was so kind and it was nice to see some familiar faces from Eglinton!!
Will definitely return.
Thank you to all staff that accommodated me and my wheelchair!!
Meat for days! Great service, delicious salad bar, such a wonderful night out with friends!
My mom and I went on a Saturday night at 9:30pm...Service was horrible, food was amazing when you got some. We felt like the servers kept skipping our table. Been to the the Niagara Falls locations multiple times and loved it!! ...won’t be back at this one 👎🏻
Service was horrible. Choice of food was mediocre. Had to request the pineapple twice because the waiter walked by our table twice. Was very disappointed.
What an amazing date spot!!! The food was outstanding, actually unbelievable. I saw this place on The Food Networks: Food Bucklist, and i had to try it! The atmosphere was awesome and i guess my girlfriend & I went at the perfect time cause dancers appeared out of thin air!!! A dinner & a show I bet!
Food was lovely, what we saw of it. We saw skewers of shrimp and salmon making their way around but they were always gone long before they made our way to our table. We were on the second floor so we had to go up and down stairs to go to and from the buffet. The various red meats we were served were awesome but a bit more variety would have been appropriate. Perhaps servers could start at different areas of the room each time so they can ensure a more even coverage.
Great atmosphere. Awesome service. Great show. Food was excellent. Good location with parking nearby. A little expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
We had reservation for six and requested the main level, the restaurant was not accommodating. We had an 80 year old with a walking cast and was not able to go up and down the stairs. After asking to speak to the general manager, they managed to stick us near the buffet table. The noise was extremely loud. My wife’s birthday was on the reservation day and did not have a valid id and refused the free dinner. The meat was bland and mostly rare. The buffet was crowded and bland. The dancing was short and uninteresting. The value was so outrageous, we could have dined at a five star restaurant for less.
The meat was not really good. The servers delayed so long to bring the meat.
Quality of food was great and the experience was really memorable!
4 stars for the meats, which were all delicious. Female servers were also welcoming and approachable, although I'm not sure what their role is aside from looking pretty? They bring jugs of water for us to self-serve, and the manager (not the waitresses) comes with the card machine.
The male servers bring out the meats. One star docked because some of the male servers would routinely miss our table. Even when we requested a certain type of meat, they would not return with our request (would have been polite to at least return to inform us that the meat is not ready). Also, the male servers were not quite friendly. Several times, they walked away as I was trying to speak.
the waiters didn't come a lot with the meat to our table and when they did, it was with the leftovers
The one gentleman serving the meats was extremely friendly and helpful. I would go back just for him and his amazing hospitality.
Long delays in the meats to come around. Most of the time we had to request for the servers to come around and us. I don’t know what was going on, but we would wait 20-25 minutes between someone coming around with meat. And when they did, it was just little slivers. Almost like shavings. The managers walked around to tables, refilling water glasses, asking how things were, but no one came around to us. The table to the right and left us got a pretty royal treatment, while our waitress checked on us twice, in 2 hours. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you the meat came to the table to our right, skipped us and went straight to the table to our left...while I’m sitting with an empty plate.
They have a 2-hour seating policy but when part of our party came late for our 6:30pm reservation, they were flexible with letting us stay longer. This gave us the opportunity to see both the 7:00pm and 9:00pm show, which were both amazing and different.
We went for meat and were hardly served any.
Packed restaurant with not enough food going around.
We had this experience last time but thought to give it another try.
We're done now... $60 / person for side dishes. Never again!!
