Cooper brings European style to a warm, friendly pub with food that is a destination in itself. The menu includes hearty pub classics with and without twists, vegetarian and ethnic specialties, lighter dishes to satisfy wee cravings, and homemade soups and sauces. Our happy hour highlights a round-the-clock sense of value, with a diverse appetizer menu and loads of drink options. Our Wee Lunch, which includes salad, fries and wee sandwich or burger, is perfect if you normally don’t split or share items. We haven’t limited ourselves to traditional Irish fare – healthy choices abound which will satisfy your hard-working appetite any day of the week.

The Pub Life is our heart. Relax with a newspaper and a 2 Gingers Whiskey, invite some friends for stimulating conversation over perfectly poured pints, or engage in some old-world-inspired friendly competition over a game of darts or billiards.

Whichever you choose, come in. Make yourself at home. Stay a while.

Private party facilities
Paying homage to our geographical heritage, we have christened our secluded private dining / party space the “Cutting Room”, evoking the activity that ensures perfection and passionate attention to detail. (Just don’t end up on the cutting room floor…)

The Cutting Room features slide-up windows that open onto our main bar, allowing you to control the privacy of your event. Cut your whiskey with ginger ale to enjoy our signature Big Ginger, or with orange juice, lemon and fresh ginger for our O’Ginger. If you prefer your whiskey uncensored, we feature a wide variety of premium and special reserve varieties that perform nicely either neat on the rocks.

Book the Cutting Room for your meeting, cocktail party, special dinner, or the big game – a 50” flat-screen plasma television, slyly masked in the beautiful mill-work and laptop-compatible, will facilitate all your audiovisual needs.

The food is very good, and the staff is friendly! Convenient location, with underground parking during those cold MN Winters. Good happy hour specials. Their new pub club benefits have been good so far. The restaurant is VERY loud, so maybe not the place for a quiet romantic meal...

A recent spate of grumpy people seem to dominate the reviews right now. I disagree. My experience was fine.

Wanted to have a bite before going to clubs, the Fish and chips was very mushy and greasy. Couldn’t finish the dish as there was too much grease. Corn beef and cabbage was not a typical European type dish, the server couldn’t describe the sauce that was associated with the dish. The chicken plate was just ok, not amazing. Sadly, the only thing that is worth having is the Chicken and Wild Rice soup.

The food was tasty at Cooper. I guess they're used to getting people fed and out to the movie theaters. We felt very rushed. I ordered soup as a first course and hadn't even started it when our main entrees arrived, even though I specified that I did not want both courses at the same time. I normally would have sent them back but that didn't seem fair to my friend who had not ordered a first course. We were seated, fed and out the door in one hour. That's not what we were looking for. I normally like spending time visiting and making an event out of going to a restaurant. Next time I'll order my courses one by one to make sure we are not rushed.

This is based on my last experience at Cooper...not good. I've been for happy hour about a half dozen times and enjoyed Cooper's Pub. This time was a disaster. Server, unfriendly, unattentive -- well at least to me, she attended to my husband. First glass of wine was a short pour, in my eyes the bartender's fault. Wine did not even reach (even close) the little star on the wine glass and was $11. Sent it back, much to the server's chagrin. Later ordered a Pimm's cup, which was all ice--it was laughable. Maybe they didn't like that I sent the wine back for a full pour, who knows, however I can say one of the worst drinks I've ever had. You'll see the cup of ice picture attached--this was after I drank the Pimm's cup, or what there was of it. My husband ins English (so you can imagine a Pimm's cup not a new drink for me) and when the Pimm's arrived he said, "wrong color, no Pimm's. " Exactaly. Expensive for what we had, would have been fine if the server was actually interested in providing customer service. When seated we asked "how are you?" and her response was along the lines of "I'm here." Nice. Food was decent. This review is mostly about the service and the bartending.

No offense to Cooper nor our server, but she seemed pretty new/inexperienced. She seemed a little bit like she didn’t want to serve us—I was with my 5 yo daughter, so I get it. I hope that our server either starts to get it or gets out of the biz. Namaste

We were looking for a last minute spot for Christmas dinner and Cooper Pub fit the bill. We had a great dinner and even better service from out waitress Lydia! Our whole family can’t wait to go back.
