Another fantastic meal. We dined with out-of-town friends and they loved it as well!

This restaurant is an absolute gem! The food at Community Table ranks up there with top Westchester restaurants like the Bedford Post, and the Inn at Pound Ridge. Every bite of every dish was absolutely delicious. The waiter was intelligent and knowledgeable about all the ingredients and how the food is prepared. The bar tender made a special drink for my girl with lavender and honey that she is still talking about, and if we weren't raised with some semblance of manners we would have licked the dessert plate clean! Community Table is a must for any discerning restaurant goer that won't disappoint the most critical foodies.

Returned from California to the restaurant after first and only dining experience exactly 2 years ago which was excellent. Returned exclusively to once again enjoy The Long Ship cocktail. The waiter and bartender had only been working at Ct for a short while and never heard of the drink and didn't have the recipe. I informed them that it was vodka, dry orange soda, elderflower foam with an infusion of sea buckthorn which happened to be on the menu for an entre that night. They informed me they didn't have any dry orange so nor any elderflower foam. Just elderflower liquor. I was VERY disappointed as I'd come so far and waited so long to drink it once again. The lobster roll was stuffed in a toasted bun that was awkward to share (messy cutting the roll at the table) and the lobster meat didn't offer any unusual flavors. The meatballs tasted like the kind we buy at IKEA and the condiments that came with them tasted like they were from a jar. The apple galette must have been made the day before (at least) as it was refrigerated and then reheated before served to us. The problem was, the galette was not warmed through and through so the exceptional flavors were hit and miss. Overall, I was very disappointed not to have the drink and to find that the quality of the meal was far from my first experience.

The restaurant is elegant. The meal started with perfect warm bread and herb butter. The wines list by the glass was interesting. Then thing gets more nuanced. The pepper appetizer plentiful but the peppers should have been cooked a bit more. I have eaten a variant of this dish in Spain many times and it takes just a little more cooking to bring out the sweetness of the peppers. The lamb entre was perfectly cooked but the accompaniments were less successful. The charred eggplant was a blob of thick black paste that tasted mostly of smoke. Given that there was a sauce underneath the lamb, it made little sense and was not really large enough to be a side dish . The lamb came covered in thin raw apple slices, like a blanket almost, that added little. Even slightly caramelized they would have brought welcome sweetness to the dish. The salmon entry (wild caught) was fine but the dish overall lacked enough seasoning to make it special. In the end, this was a B+ meal at A level prices. A quick note on the service. My dinner companion has some dietary restrictions which includes only eating fresh cheese, meaning no rinds. She mistakenly ordered a "raw" cheese that had a rind. The busboy promptly took it back for an exchange before we touched the plate. The server upon returning with a new cheese declared that the chef said that all cheeses have some mold and plopped the board down without asking if it was OK and walked away. We know from past experience that cheeses like feta, fresh mozzarella, ricotta, and especially chevre (which often comes on cheese plates) are different. She wasn't really rude but I expected more from this restaurant. So, bottom line, if you are looking for an impressive place and classy meal in this area (which is not that easy to find), chose this restaurant. If you are looking for a foodie "wow" moment, you may be a bit disappointed.

We really love Community Table. Unfortunately for that night we order the seven course dinner and wasn't all we were expected. We had their seven course dinner on New's Year day and we love it. Was just a little disappointing. Still love the place and will definitely try again.

The food is usually fantastic. This particular night it wasn't. The sous vide chicken cooked for several hours had terrible texture. Tempura cod had large cabbage leaves that was cumbersome to eat. Dessert was not particularly creative this time. The appetizers were simply delicious, however.

For appetizers, I ordered oysters, and my wife ordered the smoked trout. Both were superb. However, my cheeseburger was a little dry (could have been the grass-fed beef), and my wife's chicken a touch bland. Service was terrific, though. But, for $170 including tip, and with one drink and two glasses of wine, the price is much too steep.

The food was very creative, delicious and presentation was beautiful. We asked our server for the tasting menus, because we could not understand him when he explained the foods. Either the noise level was high, or he was too quiet, or both. But in all other respects he was professional and certainly conducted himself in a professional manner. We were both happy to have selected this restaurant.
