   We sat outside and our Server Benito was great. We ordered the 1905 Salad which you can never get enough of -made table side- and the warm bread. Our dinners were Ropa Vieja, Pollo Manchego, La Completa Cubans, Shrimp Salreado and Arroz Con Pollo Valenciana. Everyone at our table kept commenting on how delicious their dinner was. We took home dessert since we were all very full as well as half of all our dinners (very large portions). The Key Lime Pie, Guava Turnovers and Churros are our favorites! We are from Illinois and dine at the Sand Key location twice a year when we are in town.

   Dining at Columbia Restaurant in Sand Key was an experience that transcended a simple meal; it was a journey into the elegance and charm of a bygone era. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped by an atmosphere steeped in Spanish Cuban heritage. The decor, adorned with old world accents, rich wood tones, hand painted tiles, and vintage photographs, created a refined yet welcoming ambiance that instantly transported us to the opulent days of historic Havana.Pristine white tablecloths, soft fabrics, and polished details throughout the salon reflected a meticulous attention to beauty and tradition. The space was immaculately clean, warm, and so comfortable that we found ourselves lingering, reluctant to leave.What truly elevated the experience, however, was the impeccable service. Though I regret I cannot recall her name, our Peruvian waitress, with an uncommon name and an unforgettable presence, was exceptional: warm, gracious, and impressively knowledgeable. Her thoughtful, exquisite recommendations enhanced every course. Every staff member we encountered radiated the same genuine hospitality and pride in their work. Even the presence of the culinary team was felt. The Chef’s passion, precision, and love for his craft shone through in each beautifully executed dish. The bar, with its inviting sophistication, offers a serene space to unwind, while the panoramic waterfront views bathed in natural light set the tone for a truly memorable evening. Dining here felt like stepping back in time into a world filled with music, laughter, artistry, and a sense of peace I imagine was once the heartbeat of pre revolutionary Cuba. It was as though we had been transported to an era of elegance, one that echoed the golden age of the island. I will drive just to relive this extraordinary experience. Columbia Restaurant is not merely a place to dine; it is a destination that lingers in the heart. It was a sublime, almost ethereal experience, one I hope to repeat often!!!

   Everything was very good- the service, attitude of staff and help as needed..One exception, my dish was not cooked as advertised, but I was offered and served an alternative which was fine..

   We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. Our server (Eric) was friendly and attentive. He took our orders accurately and everything we ordered was served in a timely manner and delicious.

    Sat outside to enjoy the nice weather for lunch. Food was good. Service was great. However when we received our food little black bugs started to appear and landed in our food. Had to cover up food to continue eating. Found out they were love bugs. I wish I would of known. Would have sat inside. Need to spray or let people know.
