   Everyone's taste buds are different, of course, but really?? The only things we truly enjoyed were the appetizers of empanadilla and the shrimp al ajillo. It went downhill from there. The server was amazing, but the entrees recommended were really not good. The Red Snapper was drenched in this brown heavy gravy, which just tasted like a smoky grill. The rice!! Why do people say it's good, it's sticky, overdone, cold and flavorless. It was totally not well cooked. I had the seafood mix with linguine and spicy sauce, which was just that a little spicy, and it didn't taste very good. And oh my goodness, she talked us into dessert, the bread pudding, which WAS NOT BREAD PUDDING!! It tasted like smoke from a grill. Not sweet, not bread, not anything I recognized. One bite and into the garbage it went. I had such high hopes because of all the great reviews. Other than the nice water view and friendly staff, that was it. For a dinner of over $200 for 2, I'm totally disappointed. Maybe their popularity has gone to their heads. The food, other than the apps, tasted like it was not made to order. The people at the bar seemed to be having fun. Wine suggestion was perfect. The servers' blue guayaberas were a nice touch, but maybe they should not be so stained and dirty.

   Went for Mother’s Day Eve dinner. Wonderful meal and service! The 1905 salad is a must! The crab cakes were awesome. And that hot crusty Cuban bread is to die for! Topped it off with the churros with three dipping sauces. Yum!

   Our food was great especially the marchango pollo!!!! Yum! We were seated outside on the deck - wonderful! We had small issue with the check and mixup on a steak knife comment but overall very excellent. Everyone is human and with flaws. This is my 4th time to this restaurant and everyone else’s first!

   1905 salad was delicious. Fish entrees prepared perfectly. Sangria superb.

   It was my first time at this Columbia restaurant and I loved the atmosphere better that the one in Tampa. We were able to look out at the water and it was a beautiful view! The food was great, as usual. I would definitely go back here again!

   Our anniversary luncheon was perfect! We were warmly greeted at the door and were delighted to see Michael greet us at our table. Our entrees were perfect. The shrimp and yellow rice were delicious as was the picadillo criollo. The flan topped off our wonderful meal.

   I have written so many positive reviews in our decades of experience at Columbias on Sand Key it pains me a little to write a more neutral one. Drinks were very good. 1905 salad a strong starter. Entrees very good. (My baked stuffed grouper was a little overcooked.) The problem was the service. Our waitress seemed angry, unhappy to be there, and disappointed with us when we stopped at one cocktail. Her “close” was performative (and oh so transparent) I left an 18 percent tip - the lowest I ever go - hoping it was just a bad day. I fear it was just a bad attitude. Technically her service was adequate. But we come to Columbias for festivity.

   We met friends and dined on the outside deck. Drinks, food, atmosphere and service were the best! They really do fish well. This is our go to for visitors and they never disappoint!

   Great outstanding food. Columbia salad excellent! Grouper on trays absolutely delish! Baked Grouper and Grouper Jimmy. We can’t wait to go back again.
