The hostess sat us at a wonderful full view table which was so nice of her. My guest was visiting from out of town and was amazed at the sunset view from the restaurant! The food was delicious. Love the tortilla soup with a wedge of lime! Yummy Virgin Margherita and they gave me s a generous steak even though we split the dinner. The brioche were soft and good and with the heat lamp, we enjoyed ourselves with exceptional service. We had the server, manager, food runner and bus boy ask if we were okay. Everyone went out of their way to ensure we had all we needed and we really appreciated it. Thank you! 😄

Too a long time to get some very minor things... also an appetizer was ordered but never came. Heat lamp issues... food was delish and ultimately services recovered.

great ambiance and scenery on a beautiful day...staff is always outstanding and the food is great...wish there was more selection but food quality is excellent! Felt very safe as seating was outdoors and there was distance between tables.

May be because of coronavirus, we saw less people and happy atmosphere was more quiet, but the view was good as usual. Also found taste was much improved than any time before. Serving people were very polite as usual, compared with any other places around and I believe it is due to trained very well.

beautiful view, nice servers. I had crab and artichoke on Tuscan toast and it was delicious. Another had tune poke and it was too.

Had to ask server for small plates and utensils to eat our soup and appetizer.
Great setting overlooking beautiful pool. They were out of the only IPA that was listed as available on draft. Menu is a little limited, but understandable during this Covid time. Server was professional, but not outstanding. Very little checking on our needs. Very nice touch providing us with a dessert for a milestone anniversary.

Service was slow. Had to find someone to ask for small plates, steak knives and extra drinks. Server was not around very often. Long waits in between drinks, food and basic service.

Sitting on the patio overlooking their incredible circular pool, the golf course and the stunning Pacific Ocean beyond. Wine, eggplant panini, tortilla soup were awesome and the Servers are great. Upstairs at the Cafe before dinner Alexis is the best. He remembers if you have been there previously and does extra special things to make our visit special. We met the Cafe Manager too and they both brought out a dessert and candle when they heard it was my friend’s bday!! Touching!!! Thank you!!

This restaurant is nothing more than a swimming pool Grill and bar. The food was a 3/4 at best. Service was good.

Maybe it is due to Covid but when we invited our friends to dinner this week, I was embarrassed that the table which was next to the bus station (reservations) had nothing in it but a paper menu. Not even a vase of flowers or a salt and pepper shaker. For the prices you charge that would have been nice.

Spectacular setting overlooking the biggest hotel pool I’ve ever seen, golf course and ocean.

Got there 10 minutes early for reservation at 5pm to watch the sunset. They could not seat us because of shift change between day and swing shift? Were told we could find our own table but they could not seat us? Really??? Pelican Hill with such service??? I was surprised... I been many times there love the place... but was so turned off not sure I ever go back. My advice is don’t go during shift change or 10 minutes before shift change. I think that was our big mistake, I get it someone worked all day and 10 minutes before shift change someone shows up. At least they could have show us a table and got us a drink in the last
10 minutes of their shift. I thinking it a leadership problem not a worker problem. At Pelican Hill you expect quality and service and when you don’t get the level of service you get at Denny’s at 2am it a bit of shock.
After we found a table it took about 30 minutes, after I went and ask the wait staff for service. Was told again it was shift change and they did not know we were even at a table????
Wow why do I care if it shift change and why as a customer should I EVER be told such a thing is really surprising to me!

This is my favorite breakfast place in OC! Wonderful place to go for lunch as well but I love being here early in the morning! If you have you have a quest don't hesitate to take them to the coliseum pool grill restaurant. They never disappointed you with the service and food! High quality in terms of dining and enjoying with food.

Due to COVID-19 many of the delicious eateries are closed on this beautiful property. My husband and I would always dine at Pelican Grill but decided to give the Coliseum a try! Food is just as good (or better) than the pelican grill. The view is fantastic and surprisingly is not as noisy as you would expect.
