    Been here many times. Never disappoints. Fantastic broiled flounder and all of the food and drink was top notch. Our server was really nice and did a great job but she was covering a lot of tables. It was busy. No complaints and only good things to say!

    We had 7:30 reservations & was seated after 8 pm..the food orders were brought to the table after around 20-30 minutes…The waitress said the kitchen was running behind. We enjoy dining at Coastal Grill, but things need to be addressed for future visits

    So Awesome! We sat in the bar at a high top table. Adam, the server was so attentive and gave us great suggestions. The food was amazing with fresh natural flavors. Ryan makes the best Old Fashions in the world!! Ambiance with the Christmas tree was perfect. Even with the Thursday night Christmas crowd, the place was amazing. It wasn't cheap, but well worth every penny!!

    Have been dining at Coastal Grill for over 30 years. Truly a neighborhood gem. Without exception our meals have been perfectly prepared. Waitstaff is exceptional as well.

    Coastal Grill has been our favorite restaurant for over 10 years. Prices have soared which is ok if the food is exceptional but the food was average, not memorable as it always has been. Even our terrific, attentive wait staff couldn’t improve my overall impression of the food. Hope this sweet gem of a restaurant just had a bad night!

    Our dinner was very god, especially the tenderloin and the salad. The squash was good but not memorable as were the roasted potatoes. The service was very good. Two things about the Coastal Grill keep me from giving it a higher review. The lighting is so dim that I had to use my cell phone flashlight to read the menu. I had no choice of accompaniments for the tenderloin, and other than the squash and roasted potatoes, there were two cooked vegetables, both a bit pricey. I'd like to see more choices. I've been to the Coastal Grill more than a few times during the past years, and I'd like to see something besides an oversized piece of squash on my plate.

    Great night for two! Spencer took care of us for the evening. Very attentive. Extremely knowledgeable about the menu and chef's specials. Torn between a couple of dishes and he guided us through a great dinner. Thank you Coastal Grill.

    Everything was absolutely delicious!! If you want to be assured you’re going to get a fabulous meal and have wonderful service, you needent think of going anywhere else. Coastal Grill is consistently one of our favorite restaurants in town.

    I really like Coastal Grill and eat there frequently. When they had the Hatteras Clam Chowder on the menu, I’m all in. This time, however, the soup did not live up to my memory of last year. I could not find the clams - tiny bits only. The bacon was missing. The consistency was watery with a weak clam flavor. And it was full of diced carrots - should have names it carrot soup. I hope that I just got a bad serving and the soup continues to be as good as I remember. Otherwise, great!

    Unfortunately fried chicken lever salad wasn't on the menu (shortage of chicken livers?), Tuna entree was good but not as good as it used to be. Squash was terrific as always, Overall a very pleasant evening, great service and good food.

    Went to celebrate a birthday. Asked for a table not so in the middle of the room. Were told the ones along the sides were for larger parties but through the evening saw couples being seated there. May have requested a particular table...who knows but sort of annoying. And we did have reservations. Food was very good and wait staff excellent! Beautiful interior and a nice bar area. We'll go back!

    Another wonderful evening at Coastal Grill with friends and family to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. When we walked in, the table for 16 was set and a separate table was available for gifts, cards, and other items. The table arrangements were provided through Helga‘s flowers and were Beautiful. As always, the appetizers came out and everyone enjoyed tasting a variety of fresh seafood cheeses, and other delicacies. Following introductions and conversation, our dinner was served, which, of course was followed up with a cake, lighting ceremony and congratulations from the family. Amanda and her fellow servers were on the spot and responded instantly, anticipating most everyone’s needs before they were even aware of themselves. Coastal Grill knows how to make any special occasion a night to remember.

    The meal was fantastic. The oven roasted squash was spectacular. My New York strip was cooked to my exact specifications and was succulent. Our server was on point. We greatly enjoyed our experience at Coastal Grill.

    Ordered the soft shell crab special which I have enjoyed many times in past. On this visit the kitchen ruined them. They got soaked in butter that overflowed from the acorn squash served with it. I mentioned it to the server who responded "I'll let the chef know." That's the last I heard about it from the server. Fortunately the other two in my part enjoyed their entrees. Desert was a disappointment however. I've been a patron of CG for probably 20 years & always enjoyed it which kept me coming back. However last few recent visits have shown a definite decline.

    Probably one of the best meals I have ever had! Soft shells crab appetizer was to die for! I had blacken mahi mahi and my wife had Salmon. Food is absolutely delicious. Our server Spencer was fantastic. Coastal Grill is probably my favorite restaurant. We live in Richmond wish we were closer. 10 stars all the way! Duane & Julie

    We know we can always count on Coastal Grill to be delicious and a great experience and once again we were very pleased. At first, the hostess tried to seat the 4 of us at a round table more appropriate for 6 or 8, but we asked for a different table. Then we were seated at a table for 4. The drinks were very good, the salads were amazing, and everyone loved their entrees. I was so happy to have one more soft-shell this season! Our guests kept raving about their dinner experience and thanked us for taking them to Coastal Grill.
